The best part of this for me is the respect Taeyang has for Jimin. The best artists are not afraid of other artists. They know their own talent isn't lessened by another's talent, and they enjoy sharing the spotlight and the applause. I was never a Taeyung fan, but I am now.

Loveeeeeeeee. I have a bias to live bands so this is automatically my favorite version, plus the vocals were so clean. Taeyang's voice is so smooth, my my my and Jimin's high note was the cherry on top. But my favorite part was Jimin's smile at 1:48

The first big bang member I found out was Daesung because of family outing the tv show. Then I heard he was in a group but Daesung and Taeyang seemed like the most approachable of the group members to me anyways. Jimin looks so much more confident about his vocals. I’m sure meeting Taeyang and getting to work with his idol helped him a lot and made him feel more sure of himself. Good job Jimin. 💜

I love these guys but wasn't completely sold on the song itself - even though they smashed it - until this version, which I could listen to all day. And the way Taeyang introduced Jimin was just awesome. He looks pleased and proud and kind of soft, kind of a "hey check out what my little brother can do, he's so cool" feeling. 😁
The musicians do a beautiful job behind them, and these two have such great voices - and it's almost as fun when you can see the one who isn't singing, just vibing. They clearly enjoy listening to each other.
Jimin being hyped by his role model while helping him have a successful comeback - how wholesome is that?
Taeyang's been away from performing for most of Bangtan's rise to superstardom. This is a really smart move - if he came back without doing something like this, everyone would immediately pit him against BTS. This way he gets to connect with current stars, reaffirm his relevance, and minimize conflict. But just because it's a good idea, that doesn't mean he's insincere. I mean, he did the vibe dance challenge with Le Sserafim 😂 I think he's really enjoying himself.

Anthony ....I'm with you....as I have always been a "live music" fan.....I already had been finding myself playing the studio version randomly in my head intermittently during the day, but this version just bumped it up to the next level. The interview with Suga also reiterated what Jimin had already stayed in his trainee days, that Taeyang was his "idol". You can see the mutual admiration they have for each other....As this release was on Tae's solo album, and Big Hit has officially announced Jimin's solo to be released in March, I am anxiously awaiting to see if there miraculously could be another Collab between the two. I have the feels ng that next year's award season will be very interesting!!!! Have a great day! 💜

Thank you for your reaction Anthony. Always a pleasure to hear your responses! I am really liking this version so much - like a Tiny Desk presentation - isn’t it? I’m old school and prefer live bands and live stage performances. I also like how they reformed the song, slowed it down, switched up some of the vocals, added in different instruments and ditched some others - yep I like it - like it a lot! I wish they would add this version in on the rotations for streaming, but I already have a playlist, so I’ll just keep playing the original version.
