Street Punk Girls , I was hooked and I had to find out if they had anything on CD .

Holy cow! I’ve not heard a bad song yet from these gals! U.S. tour soon PLEASE! This song is crazy, weird, fun! Wish they would lay off drugs & alcohol but it fits in the song! Reminds me, lyrically, of Couch Slouch by D.R.I. a bit. Damn they’re good!
I'm Chinese and I've seen them live a couple of times, they absolutely slay. And no, I don't think they take any drugs or drink heavily, I don't know them personally but some of my friends do and they're just young moms who like to put on all that punk clothing and go rock out!
@@quesstuvascrisserla Well, I meant in the song there's drugs & drinking, not necessarily in their personal lives. From what I assume about Chinese government & it's hand upon and control of the people, it's hard to imagine music and concerts like this can even exist in China! However, as an American, my view of China is surely quite incorrect and defective. Lots of things Americans believe about other countries is very, very wrong.
Unfortunately you are right, most people outside China have a very distorted view of the country. It's authoritarian and collectivist and conformist, yes, but there is a small but healthy punk scene in the big cities and it's mostly left alone, for what I imagine is mostly pragmatic reasons, the government has other shit on its plate than a few dozen weirdos gathering at a bar for a gig of strange abrasive music.
Some of those bands are pretty cool and I encourage you to dive into Chinese punk! \m/@@crooked-halo

It's part of their charm hahaha, even the tracks on their LP which have actually good lyrics at times are unintelligible when she sings them

You might want to look into the origins of punk. Or, you know, other songs just by these women. Or perhaps read a little past the veneer of the lyrics to the actual message underneath.
