Sold our 30 foot a class motorhome down sized to a van. Best move ever. We always spend our time outside eating and lounging, so the smaller size only made it easier and cheaper to travel.
We have a class b, Nova 20b. We love it! Of course, we’re both 5’6” so no worries there. I think it depends on how you want to travel. If you want to go somewhere, stop and spend three/four days at a time and explore…a travel trailer might be the way to go. We like to be spontaneous, stop along the way and explore. The b works best for us. Plus, we just laid out a bunch of money for a custom garage on our property…not sure any other rig would fit :)
You guys are fun to watch and I love how you call your RV Mr. Lemon ha ha! I bought a car like that once and I totally get it. Fun tour and those treats are Delicious looking friends🌵🥰💞👍🏻
We have owned every type of RV except a Class A. In August traded our 32’ Class C with 2 slides for a 2023 Coachmen Nova 20D Class B and absolutely LOVE it! In less than a year we have twice the miles than the first year on the C. We have FREEDOM from being tied down to a campsite, low mileage and being able to park almost anywhere. Love the big fridge, adequate counter space and twin beds. The open floor plan makes it feel spacious and we have not had one thing go wrong … and no rattles. Your rattle sounds like the stove or pots/pans need towel cushions.
Got a new Travato 59K this year, Class B, and we love it. Twin beds, roomy with rear bath. Of course we are not tall and do not travel with pets. Easy to drive and using it more frequently than our previous travel trailer.
I felt for you going up that hill and back down. It's harder when you are not the one driving because you aren't in control, but it's great that Bob is a good driver and stays calm. You asked about RV experiences. We had a 21 foot Class C first for a number of years, then a 32 foot Class A for about 6 years and we sold that and just got a 19 foot van. Cover Bob's ears (it's a Storyteller). We didn't want to have to store an RV away from home any longer and wanted to try more of the remote places we couldn't go before. There are a lot of B van options, but Storyteller felt so much more spacious than a lot of vans with a built in bathroom with walls. I miss the residential refrigerator probably the most out of anything from the Class A because we cook a lot. We love being able to park anywhere and the ease of driving of the van, so this will probably be it for us.
Hi We have a Possl Camper van. To get rid of cabinet noise, use the following: 1. Purchase thin rubber insulation that they use on aircraft. The thin rubber is used between doors / baggage doors and the body of the aircraft 2. Press in this material between every space where cabinets join another cabinet. Use this material in every area that can potentially vibrate. 3. On all rubber seals spray on silicon spray 4. Use thin bubble plastic between every plate/cup etc Hope these tips will help you. Our Possl Citroen has the same layout as yours. Thanks again for wonderful entertaining videos 😅 Seth&Marita Sweden
Hi Forgot to say, after applying this method our van camper is completely quiet. The winter roads here can shake up any vehicle. Now we really enjoy traveling with beautiful music on the stereo, hardly any difference in noise compared to our car.
I put this on my ProMaster and it works great at night (not sure if I can post a link, so here is the Amazon title): Nilight - 90021B Light Bar Mounting Bracket Front License Plate Frame Bracket Holder for Off-Road Lights LED Work Lamps , 2 Years Warranty
We have owned 4 bumper pulls since 2005. Last year we decided we were over towing and bought a 2024 Coachmen Cross Trail 21XG. We love it! It is a Class B+/C. We can drive and park it anywhere. We travel with our 2 dogs and have ample room for our 6 week trips.
These are awesome. I love the back door on the 21xg. I had a Mercedes class c entegra and I didn't like it at all. Too closed in. Then I bought a travato 20k which was awesome but a little small for 2 people and a dog.
We started with a 24 foot travel trailer back in the 90s since that was the max size you could take into most Colorado state parks. Spent many days traveling around Colorado and enjoyed it with our two Huskies. When I was reassigned to FT Stewart, GA, we packed up in the middle of the summer and moved. While waiting on housing we lived in that tin can with the Huskies for 3 months. That prompted the trade in for the 31 foot Class C. Slides were a new thing at that time so we didn't have one. That RV served us well through 11 years and our final 2 duty stations (FT Leavenworth and FT Lewis WA). Made moving easier as well. After I retired and was working the "after Army" job as a remote employee, we decided to take a trip down the pacific coast and over to the gulf coast. 3 flat tires, Numerous engine issues, and the thing actually starting to de-laminate in west Texas, we limped it to Kerrville , YX where we bought our first 33 foot class A with slides. You will never know how much stuff you have crammed into your rig until you have to swap it out in the middle of a trip. That RV worked out great for us but with aging parents we knew it wouldn't get much use and sold it knowing that when the opportunity came, we would jump back into the RV world. Besides my wife didn't like to drive it so she didn't. We decided that when we did get back in, we would go smaller so she could / would drive. So, when we did get back in, we bought a 36 foot class A and flat towed a Equinox behind it so we were now 55 feet long. We took a 9 month trip and the 3 slides (one being a wall slide) made it very comfortable when parked (Bigger than my first apartment). Once we found where we were going to settle down we moved and to sat with very little use and a lot of money going into storage and maintenance. We made the decision last year to sell while it had good value and go to Class B Nova 20D. Now we can go on trips without having to plan ahead, keep it in the driveway so easy to pack and maintain, and I don't have to do all the driving (Lets face it, I still do all the driving). Oh yeah, if you don't like squeaks and rattles, slides are not the way to go in my opinion. Take care.
We’ve had a NuCamp 400 which is a large teardrop trailer. We loved it, but it did start to feel small. We recently bought a 24 foot long Class C that has no slide outs. It’s just right for us and has room to take along grandchildren occasionally.
We have the same Thor Tellaro 20A. We love ours for the easy driveability, size and has all the creature comforts we could ask for. We can camp, work, hang out in it and just drive whenever, wherever. We did get the 800ah version so all my electronics/gadgets work perfectly with from AC, TV, projector, 24/7 dashcam security, always on 5G home router, Starlink, PS5, computers etc. Did look into a Class B+ Ekko and did like Winnebago Revels/Or the Storytellers but to us the Tellaro was a perfect size.
We own a lifted Thor Class B. I'm 6 ft and we always take 2 large & 1 small dog with us. Everything within has its place (including the pups) and most things (excluding the dogs) have multiple purpose. 😅 We do not spend much time in campgrounds. Country and forest roads are the way we often travel. Hitting fun random towns, coastal areas and forrest lands are what we live for. Aside from the dents in my cranium we have no complaints over the van size. There's no way anything bigger than a 21 ft van would ever work for us. Two rules we always try to hold to are...Never leave the bed down and all things are used and then put away. As for finding boondocking locations we use an app that has served us well.
We owned a pop-up camper, then went to tent campers......our big upgrade was to a 35' travel trailer we towed with our F350 diesel truck. We loved it for 4 years but what we learned was we are more 2 to 3 nights max at a spot then we're ready to move on or weekend warriors...again, 2 to 3 nights. Travel trailers and 5th wheels are a lot more work than a van to setup and breakdown and it got old after 4 years. We downsized to a van and absolutely LOVE it. Are there things we miss with the big travel trailer...yes, like the big shower and all the massive storage, the big pantry, and the big outside storage bays so you can bring all the things BUT that means more work setting up and breaking down. We found ourselves carrying all the things but not wanting to set them up to make breaking down easier which got us to thinking....what's the point of having all the things, if we're not going to use them. The other big plus for us with the van, is we can park it in our driveway....the travel trailer was a no go....due to the size and the HOA rules. With all that being said, you guys might want to try out a larger type of RV just so you can compare. I read somewhere years ago that most people go through 3 RV's before they find the right one of them.
Hi Guys. We just upgraded to a 2016 Fleetwood Flair 29T Class A from our beloved Entegra Ethos 20T Class B. Reason #1 “More Room” Reason #2 A real kitchen Reason #3 Walkaround Queen bed Reason #4 Slideout Dinette Reason #5 “More Room” Reason #6 A real bathroom and shower! Reason #7 “More Room” We do 99% of our camping in COE Campgrounds, State and National Campgrounds hooked to services. We love air conditioning and long showers!!! We do boondock on occasions and the Class A is “MUCH” more comfortable!! Yeah we can’t store it at home!! Who cares, lol!! Enjoy your adventures!!
I looked up Truck Campers on the Lance website and saw inside height of 79 inches. Are there limitations on what you can park at your house? Vans are great for covience so maybe its time for a Ford Transit or Mercedes for higher ceilings. My choice if swapping would be the new EKkO Mercedes.
Yes there are limitations on what we can park at our house. That's one of the reasons we went with a Van for our first RV. And you and me both...Ekko Mercedes would be my pick if it wasn't so expensive.
We have a Newmar Dutch Star Class A Motorhome. We are now taking possession of our 2024 Leisure Travel Van Unity CB next week. It’s been a long wait! We are down sizing. Love the ability to just pull in anywhere! The Motorhome has a new owner starting next week everything worked out for us. We can’t wait to leave without knowing where we are staying the night! Another plus we couldn’t do with motorhome is “look at that let’s pull over to see this” a big no no with 65 feet rig with toad. Love your videos and your adventures! Cheers
Had a 5th wheel trailer, then a larger Class C. We were going to go for a larger Class A until we saw the Leisure travel van..Just picked up our new 2024 Unity MB this week. Looking forward to using it but the drive home was so comfortable then our old Class C and even the Class A coaches that we test drove. Bigger is not always better!
Simple curtain closing off the back from the front makes a huge difference while driving. We recently did it in our sequence 20L. The heavier the curtain the better.
I have a ProMaster 135 (17 1/2' long) designed by Van Works of Fort Collins, CO. I am 6', my wife 5'3" so we can sleep sideways saving room. .It is perfect for the two of us having moved up from my trusty 86 VW Westy. No shower but composting toilet and full kitchen (Class B size). Treks include 3 months to and in Alaska and many SW and PNW month long journeys. As for roads, if you want a thrill, consider the Moki Dugway (RT 261), near Mexican Hat UT. Our ProMaster and my Westy have done it . Thanks for the info on Biebee, enjoy the town, can't wait to do the mine tour when we visit in the fall. But first, a summer run to Quebec and Nova Scotia. Love the freedom, mileage and ease of handling of the Class B.
We have a B. A 2019 Winnebago Revel. I am tall at 6’3” and a big guy on top of that. We take extended trips of around 2-3 months a couple of times a year and work out of the van. It is tight, but we make it work. It is worth the cramped living when you are out at some very remote grasslands or wilderness for a week of living out of the van. Keep up the great vids! We enjoy them.
My Monaco is 41 feet long, four slides, 400hp Cummins diesel, towing a Chevy Colorado with a Leer fiberglass bed cover. The covered bed carries my electric bikes, leveling blocks, two patio rugs. No remote boondocking, but flat areas are great. I do Walmart and Cracker Barrel, city parking areas and I do Thousand Trails. I have solar, extra batteries, and 8kw genset. Traveling this way is awesome. 100 gls water, 65 gray, 40 black. I can stay 3 weeks without a dump, but I will run out of fresh water.
Bisbee certainly has upscaled since we were there about 30 years ago! Re RVs: we started 30 years ago with what you would call a B+. Very very used. Loved the roominess, but the first road trip we took when I checked the mileage, I realized it got 8 mpg!!! We never went very far again and sold it shortly. 15 year hiatus, some tent camping, and then we got a little 12' pop-up A-frame. Plenty of headroom and two beds. It worked well for us, but once we got a dog, there was no room for dog food dishes. We were always tripping over the water dish. And we were tired of towing. I don't know how people do it with the monster fifth wheels. We had a Subaru Outback towing a teeny A-frame and it felt like there was no place we could ever pull over just to grab a bite to eat. We had to drive right through Deadwood, SD because there was no place to pull over. Ditto Truckee, ditto Lake Louise. Full parking lots and no room for a vehicle with a small trailer. Neither of us got very good at backing up, either. So we decided that we weren't trailer people and we didn't like bigger RVs with poor mileage, so we moved onto the Travato G, which ended up having a lousy floorplan for us. Probably the K would've been a better fit. And then we got our current little Solis Pocket. 17.5 feet. We can go everywhere! We can even parallel park that little thing without any problems, drive in heavy city traffic. It's a squeeze, but we're always making mods. On balance I think it's the best thing we ever did. But we don't take long trips in it. The longest has been about 10 days. The choice of RV is all about trade-offs and everybody has to decide what's important to them and what they're willing to give up. But I think you'd be happiest in a Travato K. There's a lot of open space in it. The #1 reason we didn't get one was that I didn't want to always have to get down on my hands and knees to get into the fridge. They've taken care of that problem with the Solis models that have the fridge next to the slider. So much easier to stand outside the van to access the fridge. So that's our saga and our pros and cons. Your mileage may vary.
The grass is always greener on the other side. I have a Ford Transit 148. I'm currently turnino it into a camper van. It's shorter than I wanted, but it just me and my Golden Retriever. I will make it work. I'm also retired with limited funds.
If you had a van like, I don’t know a Storyteller you would have no problem getting up/ down those types of roads. Just saying. Thanks again for letting us be apart of your life ❤
My wife and I have discussed the same things regarding what to do if/when we feel the Class B gets too crowded for the two of us. We've thought about getting a light Aliner or something like that to use as a "Family Room" or "Office" if it ever gets to that. We just bought a Solis 59PX and are loving it so far. We plan on living in it when we are in the States.... maybe about 3 months a year.
Great adventure you guys, thanks! Thanks also for asking your viewers about their experiences with different sizes and types of vans. As a vicarious wanna be a van lifer viewer, hearing owner feedback from good people who watch good people TH-camrs is really helpful! 🙏👍🏼💪🏼❤️🤗
I hadn't thought of using the Levelmate Pro as an inclinometer! Very clever. By the way, your using the Levelmate Pro in a previous video got me to buy one for our van before I even took delivery of the van, and it works great! Another great tip from you guys! Thanks.
I like how Bob keeps trying to get a new van. Maybe you guys should consider a B+ or small class C. I do not have an RV but have been looking at some of them. From looking at class B's though I think they are too small for me but the B+'s look more appealing to me.
I owned a class a 33 foot. It was great when you were parked, but it was pertaining to but driving and getting places it was good because it was completely self-contained at three slide outs so when you were parked you find like you’re in your own home dual zone, air conditioning I had everything and now I have a pro master 2500. Which one of the reasons I got it is watching you guys and I something I love it. It’s so easy to get into places and I’m 6 foot tall too.
Sound, noise, rattles?? I’ve had plenty on all Class A’s(5), all classC(5) and two vans had very few. But ALAS!, a 2005 Monaco that drives with two fingers, crossing railroad tracks with barely a thump. This thing rides smoooth and quiiiet. I hope I never get trade fever again as I imagine I can’t beat this experience. Rv’ing over 50 years and still making plans. Love your videos and travels!
We have a class B, 05 Airstream Interstate 22. I've been driving vans for work and play for over 40 years and yes, RATTLES. One was a ProMaster. Not a fan of the 3.6 (is that antifreeze I smell) and the what's the deal with windows not going all the way down. I did like the front wheel drive and took it places I probably shouldn't have. I drive an AWD transit at work and 7K so far I like it. My never class B is going to 4x4 just for piece of mind. Thanks for sharing.
We have a sprinter van/ revel and so far absolutely love it . We downsized from a travel trailer and Ram diesel ( for 14yrs ) now we want to venture out in the wilderness and the Revel will take us there . Plus it’s easy to park anywhere . Headed to northern British Columbia and Alaska for 2 months this summer . Also vans or motor homes are going to rattle unfortunately. 😊
Just found your channel, really enjoy your travels. We were in Bisbee last year, did the mine tour also, great place to explore!!.. We travel in a Class B Roadtrek like the one you saw at the RV show in Pheonix. We live in the Prescott area and have been traveling around Arizona quite a bit. Check out Karchner Caverns some time.
We have a small 29 foot 5th wheel and we love it. Not as agile as a B camper but plenty of space. This is our 1st camper and it’s easier to hook up than a trailer and safer since no sway. Length is also shorter. We have a Rockwood 2442BS and GMC 2500 Denali.
I owned a 24-foot Class C motorhome and it was perfect for me; it could have been even smaller and still sufficient. I purchased it, traveled during the summer of 2021, and then sold it for more than double the price I paid It was a great experience. Next time, I plan to tow a trailer carrying a motorcycle with a sidecar. The only downside to having a Class C was losing my campsite whenever I left for groceries or to use the dump station. With a motorcycle and sidecar, I can explore, shop, and retain my spot without the weight or towing difficulty of a car. Additionally, I'll opt for a cassette toilet to avoid dealing with the black tank, as it's more than adequate for my needs.
We have a 2023 Renegade Vienna on the Sprinter chassis. One full slide, 25.5 ft long. No bunk over the cab. Love the size, easy to drive, pretty easy to park in most spots.
@Vancaskeys Fleetwood, owned by REV Group is coming out with the identical rig, believe its called Insight. Only difference I saw was in the cabinetry.
Great video. I cannot wait to see next week when you take the mine tour. Bisbee’s architecture is so unique because the company that owned the mine started out as a mercantile in New York. So they brought that style to Arizona when they got into mining. Too bad you didn’t go up a little further on Juniper Flats (closer to the towers) there are flatter spots for camping. In fact my profile photos is our Transit at Juniper Flats a few weeks ago when we had that cold spell and we woke up to snow. That road is steep but easy to access. If you want a tour of a copper mine that is just getting ready to reopen reach out to me. Our company is reopening a mine just outside of Casa Grande, AZ.
I'm 6'4" so a van is out of the question. My friend has a Pleasureway and all I do is hit my head on things. I've owned 8 RV's over the years and they all served different purposes. Short Class C for roaming adventure. 38ft Diesel Pusher for long distance snowbird destination stays. If you go to a trailer, there is a big difference in quality and construction. Trailers are mostly "stick and staple". Since they aren't occupied while in motion, the windows aren't tempered glass, appliances aren't secured to the frame, the wooden cabinets seem like they are made of balsa wood, holding tanks are small etc. It has to be built light enough to fit on a single axle 3500lb or a double axle 7000lbs. Most trailer tires are crap, the light duty leaf springs are easy to break on rough roads (ask me how I know). For roaming and boondocking, a class C or B+ riding on a HD truck chassis E350/E450 is better than a trailer. Don't buy a Mercedes unless you enjoy electrical gremlins, emission control errors and the transmission "limp home mode" which my 2008 Navion went into regularly when new. They never could fix it and 4 years later we traded it in. Will never get Mercedes again. What you save in MPG, you spend 10x more in maintenance and repairs.
If you get something bigger you will have to store it somewhere, due to your HOA. Also bigger also means harder to just stop anywhere, parking, having to go to campgrounds. Lots to think about.
Although Bob was unaware at the time, that wooden box phone was actually a direct line to the Thor customer satisfaction hot line. Sadly, it hasn’t been answered in decades!😂😂😂😩
:) THANKS MUCH for sharing! Great share and info on Brisbee :) LOL at 50 degrees, SHORTS and Tank Top with a hoody! :) ENJOY and ALL the BEST! Cheers :)
Make the dream van a reality Bob 😊 We have a class B/ STO and yes the two of us and two huskies can be tight but in our humble opinion at this stage of our camping life the pros FAR OUT WEIGHT the Cons. This may change later but not in the near future 😊
Hey Guys, My wife and I are Trailer/Truck Folks. Here is our thinking....... A Trailer provides much more living space/storage/amenities. It also does not require Drive Train Maintenance and the associated costs of all that. I have also yet to find a Motorhome/Van..(you know what i mean) that provides ultimate comfort while driving. We lov riding in our F250 Lariat.. Weather towing or simply as our "car". We can unhitch, leave the rig in its spot and are free to travel without the burden of dismantling camp (if its a longer stay of course) every time. We have the Rockwood 2608BS and its very much like an apartment on wheels yet small enough to go anywhere. We've rented a Van once for that "Stealth Camping" experience and it was fun but we missed our trailer!! Oh!!! and when we are traveling, sitting comfortably in our cooled/heated luxurious truck seats (LOL), we don't hear a sound from all the rattling going on in the trailer...hahahaha
We have class B on a mercedes chassis and travel with our 5 year old little boy and its perfect. We dont spend a bucket load of time chilling in the van though. We looked at B+ and trailers and landed on this and love it.
You can't go the places you do in a class A. Even a trailer would be difficult. A class C does give a bit more room but maybe the B+/C- might work for you. Or a tougher bit larger B. I really enjoy your videos. BTW, Brian and Michelle from LivnRvision went to Bisbee and Tombstone too. Now I wanna goooo.😊
I really enjoy your videos. My head was on the ceiling in the Mercedes and Promaster (forget the A/C). We ended up with a truck camper. Dedicated bed, 2-3 person dinette, plenty of headroom. We got the drop down cabinet/bunk so in a pinch, grandkids could go with us. Bonus in California is no registration or license. Thanks for the tours and sharing your trips.
Yeah but the registration for the truck in California would probably cover at least 2 vehicles in any other state . Unfortunately I live in California still and dmv fees are criminal.
Thanks for sharing! We want to look at a Truck Camper. Have you seen the Hilt? Now that one would be awesome...except for the price...way out of our league.
@@Vancaskeys That’s pretty cool. Check out The Northstar Night Hawk truck camper. Paired with a 1 ton SRW, it makes a versatile rig. It can be dropped fairly easy at camp to explore. And even with a brand new truck, you’re probably less than 110k. Safe travels!
We’ve had a B which was a Roadtrek Zion; a C, which was a Dynamax Isata 3; an A, which was a Winnebago Adventurer; and a Coachmen Nova. Allwere less than 30 feet. The coachmen Beyond is the tallest, the Nova the widest, the Galleria the longest. Honestly, the b vans are tight. But you wouldn’t take an a or c some places you’ve gone. Maybe look at the b+ out there, and see what you can live with. I do all the driving so would never take a dirt road like that as I am terrified of heights.
Went from 16’ trailer to 25’ Quantum C class on Mercedes chassis. Like the drive able over the towable. Would like to get into an Ekko, but cost right now is an issue. Want to get on some of those sketchy roads and boondock more.
Full time solo in a Sequence 20k. Used all 4 classes. And a popup. I think he is right on the 24’ for you both. Super B? I also have 960amp hours of batteries for boondocking. GameChanger!! My experience is opposite of Mr Lemon. Nessa has benefited from many Thor owners like you, with updates to head off issues. Thank You both.
I wish I would have found your channel before we bought a used 2021 Tellaro 20a. What Nightmare it's been it seems to be having the same issues Mr. Lemon has. Our biggest mistake was buying it unseen, you find out quickly people aren't very honest. I needed this class b van for medical transportation and to finally get out of the house to go places. I don't see that in my future. We already replaced the bm controller it still doesn't work. Everytime we turn it on it goes straight to a firmware update that will never load, constant message saying Failed try again.. We tried using the water pump and all the water dumps onto the ground under the van. City hook up just floods inside the van... We enjoy watching your videos keep uploading them! tc safe travels.
We have a Class B, 2020.5 Travato NPE. We love it. We travel with our medium Labradoodle. But we love the open plan. You sound like a class B+ would be better for you.
I have class b Thor Rize 18 m. I think it’s perfect for me cause it’s just me and I’m 5’4” not tall like u guys. But it would be nice to be with someone while traveling so there’s a copilot and some one to hike with. My dog doesn’t help
Great video. Hilary you and Bob are braver than I on that dirt road. Yes, I have a ‘23 Thor Rize 18M. But it’s just me and a small 14# dog now. Have had 2 trailers, a class C and a Class A over the years. I loved my small 32’ Class A. Was perfect for 2 adults when it was me and my husband but to do any sightseeing you;d really need a small tow car or use Uber like we did. Have you thought about looking an Axis? Won’t off road well though. I always thought the Leisure Class B+ was perfect but it’s too big for me ….but would be comfy for you two.
Suggest the Ekko get then upgrade for off-roading. There been great videos happening Only problem is your parking situation Plan B sell your home get a bigger lot has off road parking then get the Ekko or whatever you love. 💕
We have a class a but I love the fact that a class B can go anywhere. Deal breaker for me is the bathroom in a class b. I guess we will keep our A and just watch your great videos.
Class Bs aren’t for everyone. But I’ve not seen a factory built one with a spacious floor plan. Having designed and built one, I know it’s possible, w/o sacrificing any comforts. I’m not sure how Mr Lemon’s length compares with a Storyteller, but I suspect the latter is smaller. Whatever you decide upon, please keep making videos. You’re both so fun! (And Hillary, I’m with you concerning steep and bumpy roads. This is exactly why I don’t want a 4WD. If we had one, my husband would attempt to drive on vertical goat paths and I’d be outside walking.)
I’ve been looking for the past two years. I watch you two and like the Coachmen Nova, the Cross Trail, a Minnie Winnie 22r or a go for broke option and get a Tiffin Wayfarer. I think the Nova would be the easiest to drive and park but it would be nice to have a B+for loooong trips. I had a Westphalia camper back in the day and took my kids cross country in it. I’m a lot older now and sure would like a toilet and shower…
Enjoyed your Travels , Thanks for sharing your experiences while on the Road. Yes we have the same class B RV. Would be nice to have a LTV twin Bed or a Coachmen Beyond C model AWD< Lithium. for our Travels. However RVs become so Pricey this Year ? So we're not sure for now. Safe Journeys.
Hillary, Don't Panic.... Bob's Got It! Hoping to get in a B in the very near future and my question to you is that I'll also have a German Shepherd and at times 2 cats in tow. So you think a B will do or step up to a C? Don't worry about bears... it's the mountain lions you have to watch out for.
i have a chevy pu and haul and a 24 ft x 8 1/2 wide cargo trailer we have our trike in it and camp in trailer i want to get a class b or bt camper van then get a smaller cargo trialer to haul trike in it but funds and wife r keeping me from doing it hopefully we can soon we getting older by the minute haha
A B+ is not a C. I have a C and the major difference is you really have to have a toad. A B is very convenient but it doesn’t have the room and comfort of a C.
Your van is a pavement princess. If you want bigger with off road Unimog all the way, or like us we have a Sequence 20 L leave her on the pavement and use our Jeep for off road adventures.
I’m beginning to think Bob takes you on those horrible roads just so he can get his Storyteller Overland. 🤣
Me too 😂😂😂 -Hillary
Sold our 30 foot a class motorhome down sized to a van. Best move ever. We always spend our time outside eating and lounging, so the smaller size only made it easier and cheaper to travel.
Good point!
We love our Travato, it suits us perfectly on trips! Had it for almost a year. We just have to learn to find places to boondock.
You are me girl, you are me. Up that road, no no no. I'm a terrible passenger. I do love the music effects. 🎵
And Bob likes to go way faster than I would in our van. So that makes it much scarier to me. Lol!!!
You guys are fun to watch and I love how you call your RV Mr. Lemon ha ha! I bought a car like that once and I totally get it. Fun tour and those treats are Delicious looking friends🌵🥰💞👍🏻
Awww thanks for watching and enjoying our crazy! ❤️💕
Sweet! We love that one! Happy travels! 🤠
Hi
We have a Possl Camper van. To get rid of cabinet noise, use the following:
1. Purchase thin rubber insulation that they use on aircraft. The thin rubber is used between doors / baggage doors and the body of the aircraft
2. Press in this material between every space where cabinets join another cabinet. Use this material in every area that can potentially vibrate.
3. On all rubber seals spray on silicon spray
4. Use thin bubble plastic between every plate/cup etc
Hope these tips will help you. Our Possl Citroen has the same layout as yours. Thanks again for wonderful entertaining videos 😅

Hi
Forgot to say, after applying this method our van camper is completely quiet.
Thanks Jon. I will go look it up. :)
Can I ask, what kind of gas mileage do you get on the cross trail?
@@laurenmarovich3234We are averaging 12mpg. Our weight loaded, (full fresh water and camping gear) with empty waste tanks is 11K.
Love that RV!!!
Congrats on making it past 15K subs! Well deserved - my wife and I watch every episode.
Thanks Mike! This means so much to us!
Thanks for all of this great info! So many great points. And yes once we buy our next RV it will be our 3rd LOL
Hi Guys.
We just upgraded to a 2016 Fleetwood Flair 29T Class A from our beloved Entegra Ethos 20T Class B.
Reason #1 “More Room”
Reason #2 A real kitchen
Reason #3 Walkaround Queen bed
Reason #4 Slideout Dinette
Reason #5 “More Room”
Reason #6 A real bathroom and shower!
Reason #7 “More Room”
We do 99% of our camping in COE Campgrounds, State and National Campgrounds hooked to services.
We love air conditioning and long showers!!!
We do boondock on occasions and the Class A is “MUCH” more comfortable!!
Yeah we can’t store it at home!! Who cares, lol!!
Enjoy your adventures!!
Thank you for this amazing info!
Great idea...we have wanted to do this.
I am enjoying your videos and this one is entertaining and fun filled!
Awww thank you!!!!😊
We have a B.
Thanks Trish for sharing your experience. Very very helpful. Sounds like you do have the perfect one for you now. We do love the Travato K.
The grass is always greener on the other side. I have a Ford Transit 148. I'm currently turnino it into a camper van. It's shorter than I wanted, but it just me and my Golden Retriever. I will make it work. I'm also retired with limited funds.
So true...
If you had a van like, I don’t know a Storyteller you would have no problem getting up/ down those types of roads. Just saying.
Thanks again for letting us be apart of your life ❤
Very true!
Thanks Joe! So many different options out there. Love hearing from everyone's experience.
😂 He is always trying!
Thanks for sharing! Yes it would be hard to give up the convenience of our Van.
Love hearing this! We want to do a big trip to Alaska too! Happy Travels!
By the way , my first van was a 1979 Dodge by Winnebago. I kept it for years and still miss it, 40 years later.
First claustrophobic vanlifer.😜 Fyi, I think everyone is afraid of bears. Well, maybe not zoo keepers. hehe Thanks for the trip!
😂😂😂
We have a 2023 Renegade Vienna on the Sprinter chassis. One full slide, 25.5 ft long. No bunk over the cab. Love the size, easy to drive, pretty easy to park in most spots.
Nice..just looked it up. I like the size.
Yeah that is exactly why we have to wait.
Cheers :)
Thanks for watching Marty! We used to be like you when we lived in Minnesota...50 degrees was a warm day...now we are wimps and cold at 50 degrees 😂
@@Vancaskeys THANKS and LOL! ENJOY and ALL the BEST! :)
Make the dream van a reality Bob 😊
We have a class B/ STO and yes the two of us and two huskies can be tight but in our humble opinion at this stage of our camping life the pros FAR OUT WEIGHT the Cons. This may change later but not in the near future 😊
👏👏👏
@@alaskakv Agreed, but what we get for those fees more than makes up for it….ahahahahahaha…
We have a 2020 Boldt and the noise isn’t too bad.
Nice!
My Pleasure-Way Tofino is whisper quiet ;)
Jealous!
16:01 You channeled my wife. The look on your face gave me anxiety...lol
Hahaha! It was scary! 🫣
NICE! Thanks for sharing!
Oh, we have a Class C ( ok what they are calling a B+), 24'5" Winnebago on Sprinter chassis. Husband is 6'1" and no issues.
Bisbee is soooo fun. You just missed the big Van meetup next week!
I felt every bump on that road🫤. Poor Hilary. That drive downhill, though. Nope!
There's an awesome campground right next to the mine. You can walk into town from it😊
We wanted to stay at it but they needed 72 hours advance notice. It looked awesome!
If you still have that rattle, check the plate by the propane tank under the van. It’s been known to come loose.
It's hard to be tall in these vans! Love that yours is perfect for you.
Thank you! We have not looked at it yet. We need to!
Suggest the Ekko get then upgrade for off-roading. There been great videos happening
Only problem is your parking situation
Plan B sell your home get a bigger lot has off road parking then get the Ekko or whatever you love. 💕
Absolutely love this plan! -Bob
those are over 200k
Flashbacks to RV starring Robin Williams 😂
I am with team Hillary regarding the hill going up the mountain 😮
Thank you Heather! 😅
Jayco Granite Ridge, you will love it!
We will check it out! Thanks!
We have a class a but I love the fact that a class B can go anywhere. Deal breaker for me is the bathroom in a class b. I guess we will keep our A and just watch your great videos.
Great video I am also claustrophobic. How did you do in the mine.
Thanks. I actually did pretty good. It wasn’t as bad as I thought It would be 😃
Class Bs aren’t for everyone.
Hi that’s great Bob likes to do the cooking. What is class A? Do you recommend solar panels? Ty
Bears live in the outdoors. They come into town here. We've got streets steeper than that in town. Would you rather just stay home?
We have a Newmar Ventana 3709. Has plenty of room to be comfortable.
I have Thor Rize 18m it fits me 5’1” & my little dog Milo 20lbs 😎
Sweet!
How about Apache Trail next time. All the best.
We have a 5th wheel and a high-roof sprinter van.
A cabover camper is nice because they are very quiet while driving.
Nice to know!
But the downside is you have to "climb" into bed and the bathrooms are generally small unless you get a huge one😁
I have a fifth wheel but no truck to pull it. Fifth wheels feel the most like an actual home. Just too expensive for me to keep and haul.
The noise I always have to deal with all the back door is rattling. I have a ram, pro master, 2500.
Oh we probably have that too!
Imagine living in the Class B with a 100 lb dog and 2 cats. That’s my life
Oh wow. That would be tough 😂
i have a chevy pu and haul and a 24 ft x 8 1/2 wide cargo trailer we have our trike in it and camp in trailer i want to get a class b or bt camper van then get a smaller cargo trialer to haul trike in it but funds and wife r keeping me from doing it hopefully we can soon we getting older by the minute haha
Bisbee. A most unusual town, central to an old Twilight Zone episode.
You guys need a off road rv for sure scary!!!!
We do!
I love this idea I love this video you guys are the best
Awww thank you! 😊
A B+ is not a C. I have a C and the major difference is you really have to have a toad. A B is very convenient but it doesn’t have the room and comfort of a C.
We have a class c, 25 ft, perfect for the two of us.
Very nice!
Get stuck One time! 😂 One time! Never gonna hear the end! lol. Wife life.
😂😂😂
We owe a class C and my wife hates to drive it so she is building her a Skoolie.
Very fun! :)
Bisbee is a huge tourist trap.
How many miles on Mr. Lemon?
Your van is a pavement princess. If you want bigger with off road Unimog all the way, or like us we have a Sequence 20 L leave her on the pavement and use our Jeep for off road adventures.
