I still love my LV reverse monogram *hotdups* lutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.
The lemon yellow is so beautiful. I think all their stuff is really beautiful BUT I can't in good conscience carry something made of calf skin or lambskin.
I had the opportunity to visit the original first Chanel boutique in Deauville. It is no longer open, but the historical boutique is marked as a landmark. A must see!
I love the brooches. I've heard not to buy anything with stones or pearls in it though; they fall out. I have a black enamel brooch (no stones) and I'm getting ready to purchase another gold tone one with no stones of course

Who owns Chanel now. I've heard the quality of their handbags has really gone down. I can't pay 8k for a handbag that's going to get worn easily. Do Parisians like Americans ? I doubt it 😊
Since Karl died, the quality and creativity (hand craftsmanship notwithstanding) at Chanel has, in my opinion, declined so I don't understand why they have increased their prices. Today, Chanel looks dated and cheap.
I've always wondered, if a product can be copied and sold for 1/10th the price, why are we going after the "counterfeiters" instead of the real producers selling the product for 10x the price? At least the bag I bought at AMZLV fit my bill.
