    Good Morning from sunny SA Bone !!
    Another great video with informative content and great points on community college
    Idk if you are taking any video idea suggestions ,but if you are would you be able to do a video on affordable community colleges that are "worth it " in terms of their ranking and degree "prestige" and also would love to hear some more info on OPT from your research and or perspective .
    Of course there are some videos on these topics and it varies depending on what the major is , but this from your perspective would be amazing, appreciated and informative as it feels closer to home for me as a South African .
    All the best keep making us proud and im grateful for your videos and your journey
    Bless

    Hey lebone i hope you are fine ❤ i'm in grade 11 going to grade 12 next year so i don't know if you have already made a video about this or not but i wanted to ask you that lets say i'm in grade 12 in the middle of the year and i apply abroad do i apply with my grade 11 final report or term 1 report or do i wait until i get my final grade 12 result ?? is the system of applying the same as south african's system?

      Hi.
      It's not the same.
      For the US, It's better to apply the AUG/SEP you're in matric therefore you'll use your June report. Either way you'll possibly need to use matric reports from Gr8 till Gr12 depending on the school.

    Hey Lebone.. I've been apprehensive about applying to community colleges because I heard that it's harder to get a visa since they don't offer a bachelor's degree. Meaning it's easier to get a visa when you apply to a 4 year program.
    Do you have any insight on that?

    • @LeboneM
      @LeboneM  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Well everyone's situation is different. You can get denied even if you want to attend a 4 year university. I think it comes down all to intent, documents and the type of school you are going to attend. For me, it was better to study at community college and then transfer to 4-year because of finances and it raised my chances of getting a scholarship at a 4- year because I worked on getting my GPA high. I hope that helps and good luck!

      I would say pack light, pack things like jackets and sweaters.Those are kind of expensive here, pack your favorite snacks from home and enjoy every moment!

    Hi Lebone,is there an honours program there like in South Africa or do you just go into masters after your bachelor degree?which would mean it’s 3 years for masters?

    • @LeboneM
      @LeboneM  ปีที่แล้ว

      hey! There isn't a honors program. In the USA, after bachelors you do your masters which can take 1 year or 2 years depending on your field of choice.

    • @koketsomalangabi1706
      @koketsomalangabi1706 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay thank you. One last question 🙈, let’s say you do your masters in psychology (clinical or whatever specialisation)do you think you would be able to practice as a psychologist in South Africa keeping in mind that your masters will be of the APA. If you have done your research,is it possible?🥺

    • @LeboneM
      @LeboneM  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@koketsomalangabi1706 You should be able to. Probably a certification of some sort or a bridging course might be necessary to allow you to practice in SA. I'm not entirely sure though

    You can’t work on that visa?

    • @LeboneM
      @LeboneM  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Which visa? A student visa you can work on campus for at maximum 20 hours a week. Other than that, you cannot work. OPT is something you can do after you've graduated which permits you to work after graduation with something related to your field.
