I have to agree with your assessment, except the 'big nose' part. The concept and the subject matter are great but she desperately needs a director for her videos. The camera is always too close, which never allows you to see the complete outfit, or her body from head to toe. The close ups are too long and the subject she chooses for close ups are not such good ideas. I wish I could direct her videos!

There are several ways to achieve the look she is showing, or at least a similar look with gathering to the center. I can say two here. 1: Start by centering the cloth at the back so you have equal parts coming toward the front. Tie the front in an overhand and tucking the ends is one way to achieve a similar look. Another is to bring the top ends of the fabric to the center and twist them around each other once, then bring the ends back around your waist to the back and tuck. Arrange the top at the waist and the length of the cloth in the front so it hangs the way you want. Practice both, and invent different ways.... like an overhand with a half twist. Arranging the fabric as you go and after it is secure is important. Soon you will discover many ways. Try it with different fabrics as well. Cotton kitenge, stretchy knits, etc.
