I’ve noticed some TH-camrs call him trash or a rip off Eminem. And that his music is always the same style😒. But they will never understand that NF has helped many of us
Where do you find those TH-camrs at? The ones I’ve seen praise NF, and I’ve seen a lot of them. (Not saying you’re lying or anything like that, I’m actually curious).
I have subscribed to around 400 youtubers who do reactions and 99% like Nate, after hearing his music, and the only thing they mention is they can see that Eminem was an influence, but that they are nothing alike in content,. They both have the same skills, but Nate can touch hearts in a way Eminem never could. They take two different lanes of music. I know I have quit listening to many EM songs, in the middle of his song, because of his vulgar language and what he sings about. I honestly no longer listen to Eminem, but can not wait to hear new music from NF.
Yep a child of an addict often feel like that. My dad was a drug addict my whole childhood and I won’t touch drugs. Even after I had surgery I would rather be in pain than worry about going down that path
"They'll write checks to, me but don't check on me." That's heavy. People don't really care about how you're doing just what you're doing. Write these songs make this album and let's make money. Oh you're depressed? You're struggling with mental health? That will make for some great content put it in the verses. I'm just here to pay you, not help you.
I've SO been waiting for this one. "If you made of list of people that you trusted would you put your name down?" One of the hardest lines ever. Also. Sasha Sloan was sampled for the hook. The original track is called Only as well. It's not autotuned anywhere near as much and you can feel the pain. Would be a good review but if not you should still check it out. 🙏 Also Also.. I fkn love you guys! Keep up the good work 😁
I feel like the reason we feel comfort to know others are experiencing the same things we are experiencing (loneliness, etc) is reassurance that there is some normalcy to feeling that way. That we aren't broken and need fixed because its not common to feel that. When we see others are going through the same things we are going through, its comforting to know that these lows and struggles and difficult moments are actually indeed normal to us and that its ok to experience or feel them. It's comforting to know I am normal and not broken when I feel lonely. Awesome reaction. Thanks!!
I truly believe that a problem/issue shared is a problem halved. Knowing someone else is going through the same thing takes so much weight & pressure off.
The line that hits me the hardest is, "Am I the only one that has a loaded gun That's full of doubts and memories to overcome? And I complain about 'em when they shoot at me But I know truthfully I like to load 'em up and let 'em-" Bang! Bang! Bang! This is what I do on the daily, unfortunately. "That's so sad to see, that's so sad to see, I need help"
I liked your take at the end about why it’s comforting to know we’re not the only one going through something. I wonder if knowing we’re not the only one GOING THROUGH something helps us connect the dots to hope because there are also those who have GONE THROUGH what we’re going through.
Brad and Lex, please do lengthier videos like this one. Most of us want to know your thoughts/what your interpret after reacting to NF songs. It's always fun to see someone else's reaction and what they get out of each song. Keep up the reactions! They are very fun to watch! :)
By. Far. My. Favorite. Song. When I went to his Nashville show for this album and he played this song I cried. So bad. The passion that you can hear in his voice. It’s almost more intense than how could you leave us. Like I feel like this was one that he wrote just balling his eyes out in the studio. Because I feel like he wanted to that night. And everyone in the crowd was silent, just completely awed at what he brought to the table. It’s got so many hard hitting lines, a good ass beat, and a flawless cadence. All topped with an almost voice breaking intensity...just ahh I swear his music is heroin to me. On another note, the hook is sung by Sasha Sloan, it’s actually off of a song that she released called The Only. It’s a banger and I highly recommend you watch, and they just so happen to be friends and he asked for the hook for a collab. Love u guys✌️
I think it is comforting to know we aren’t the only ones suffering and going through the same things , we all await for a type of Messiah.. a savior .. we know there is someone out there who can understand and comprehend and even save us from ourselves.
"They'll write checks to me but don't check on me" is one of the strongest lines that I can personally relate to and I imagine TONS of people can relate to.
"If you made a list of people that you trusted would you put your name down" and "They’ll write checks to me but won’t check on me" always hits SO HARD for me, cuz that’s something you don’t normally think about on a daily basis. I JUST LOVE HOW ALL HIS SONGS ARE QUOTABLE, YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN?
While the OCD drives a lot of his issues it might also drive why is music is all interlinked and meticulous, another instants of his weakness is also his strength something that is a common theme.
This is one of my favorite. I can totally see nate just being able to walk away once he feels his story is told. His ability to stay outside of the spotlight I think allows him to remain grounded.
This song turned into quite a journey all on its own. The talk early on about hating fame and getting to the top using your pain reminds me of Figure.09 by Linkin Park, which I feel is about how you can use some kind of creative outlet as a way of purging those feelings you've got bottled up inside and you think you're getting rid of it but that becomes the thing you're known for and everyone wants you to sing that song at all your concerts so now This pain you thought you were releasing is chained to you forever and you have to keep reliving it because the fans want to hear that song over and over (often wonder how much a part that played in Chester Bennington ending his life). Then we come to the line, the "next question" you skipped to try and keep the video from being too long, about showing what you can do vs hiding away because you're scared of making a bad impression. That one hit hard for me because there are so many things, so many ideas, so many projects going in so many directions that I want to explore but I'm always so worried about failing, or making something that doesn't come out the way I had imagined it, or it just doesn't measure up to the hype and I blew my only opportunity and now I'll never get another shot at it and that anxiety has held me captive all my life. Like for real I am 35 damn years old and have done NOTHING with my life aside from cruising through K-12 on auto-pilot. Like I never even had to try, it just came to me, but then I graduated and I felt paralyzed because of that anxiety telling me any step I take will be in the wrong direction and that there's no way I could recover if I messed up. So I do nothing. It just all goes to waste. Which for me then ties back into the chorus, feeling like I'm the only one. Wondering if there's anyone else out there who can even come close to understanding. I'm not like everyone else. That's been my feeling all my life. There's nowhere that I got in. I see things others don't. I make connections others can't grasp. I put together pieces and see a bigger picture and everyone thinks I'm insane because that's not what they see. I've got a 153 IQ. Like NF said in one of these songs "my description: highly gifted" so I feel like he's probably up there, too. And pair that with a highly analytical "over thinking" mind that can be completely objective and devoid of all emotion one minute and then completely overwhelmed by emotional factors (trauma, depression, anxiety, etc.) and it's like this perfect storm of isolation feeling like nobody could ever "get you." I think he said that in one of his other songs, that he could explain it for ten minutes and they still wouldn't get it. And then it comes back to that question of would I be different if I was medicated? Would that be an improvement? Like would it actually be better or just "different." For me it's a similar situation to Alex's brother. I worry if I went on meds the only thing it would do is "dumb me down" and numb me out. And for NF I'm sure the potential impact on his creativity may be part of it but I think maybe the main source of hesitation for him there is his mom. He's seen that road, he knows where it leads, and he's terrified that if he goes on meds to "fix" himself he might end up like her, and there's a whole mess that goes along with that because it's not just the addiction and what that does to you and thevoeopke around you but also losing that fight with his pride and feeling like a sellout and a hypocrite, like "oh you talked all big about the pills and how nobody should go through that and then you go and do it yourself." Always so much to "unpack" with his songs and I always feel like I've left something out.
Nina, my wife says "it's comforting because the world tells you we should all be happy, why are you sad, don't share your negative emotions. Sometimes it's nice to know your not weird, your not alone, even thou the world says your crazy or that your not normal, the reality is your normal, the world is worng. And you can know that and take comfort in it because, your not the only one."
For me the reason that it would be comforting to know somebody else is going through what I am. Is because other people have made it out of the samething and so there might be hope for me.
15:58 it is comforting, because you know you are not alone.....I just "be beter" knowing that some dude is dealing with the same it make you feel better
I don't know if anybody else has mentioned it but I didn't know if you knew that the other voice in this song is actually NF's just on a higher pitch. Love your reactions and seeing how much you guys are getting into the journey.
Being a pretty active fan of NF I get a lot of people on IG sending me requests to follow them or listen to their music. You would be surprised how many new artists are now following NF's style. Like how NF started off being really influenced by Eminem and you could really tell (like in his Moments album). Now there is this new generation of rappers that are being influenced by NF and they admit they are. Actually many are pretty talented, but you know eventually will find their own style because their NF influence is too obvious. One I can think off the top of my head is called "Invent". His videos are dark like NF and his style and music are very NF, but he isn't bad and if he keeps at it, I think, he has potential to blossom.
Its comforting because were not alone. Though you don’t feel you can get through it but to know someone else is going through it gives you hope that you can because I think we tend to believe other people can get through things better than we can but when we relate then there’s a chance we can do it too. I know a lot of us are codependent but not all of us i hope. I know you meant in a good way but I don’t think we are codependent just cause se relate and connect to one another. I think i know how you meant it though :). Great videos. I love how you both talk things through after the song and bring up important parts of the music.
NF is my favorite. I used to listen to Eminem when my step son was a teenager. He was his favorite, then I just started losing interest with all of the cussing and negative impact I felt and was seeing. I remember thinking, I wish there was someone that was like Eminem, but did not swear as much. Then a few years ago I stumbled on to NF and could not get enough. My daughter is 15 and we have followed him together the last few years. We'll text each other whenever a new song is released, see who can be first.😄 It is good to have great music you can enjoy with your kids and not have to worry about the message it is sending. The older I get the more I realize how true it is that you need to be careful what you allow into your mind. It can have a positive impact or negative impact, but it will have an impact. Not sure why I wrote this, I never comment. I appreciate your reactions. I have watched a lot of reactors, but your conversations usually keep me to the end. Keep it up. You should check out 21 pilots next. I got into them pretty big when I ran out of NF a couple years ago. They have a good following also.
I absolutely love this song. It hits different with me. I have PTSD and anxiety from my military service and deployment to iraq. When i came home, i numbed myself for a very long time with drugs and alcohol and video games. Anything to distract myself from reality. Eventually i got straight, but then i was left with my thoughts and feelings. It only got worse over the years. Eventually i started having regular panic attacks and i started drinking heavy again. It was a temporary fix until i finally snapped at hurt the closest person to me in a way ive never done in my life. I finally went for help with the VA after being out of service for over 6 years. Naturally they medicated me, but in my circumstances it was necessary. Luckily its a non-addictive medication and it helps me so much i cant even explain... i guess what im getting at is, every time i went through my own brain i felt like i was crazy and the only person that felt that way. And some people really do need medication and its for the best. I feel NFs pain on another level, and i appreciate his music so much! I also appreciate yalls reaction. God bless
Chemical imbalance is real. I know when I was at my lowest I took some medication and I can best describe it as once I took it, I felt like everything is going to be OK. That's how it made me feel. I am glad you are fighting thru those demons. God bless.
He made the announcement he was dropping Clouds. I can't remember if it was 30 or 60 thousand people disliked it before it even dropped. Eager to hate that's modern humanity. You two do a great job.
A lot of hate was directed NF’s way when he and Chance The Rapper released on the same week and NF beat him. That’s prob why some of his videos had a lot of dislikes
Saint Mesus- he does a version of CLOUDS with different words but keeps the syllables exact. Straight takes skill to do that you should check that one.
Ig the dislikes are from uncomfortable people yk? Like, Nf raps abt things that people say makes them "uncomfortable" and yet, so many people relate. He's real, thata rare. #nfrealmusic Love yalls reactions Happy to have yall in the nf family:)
The girl who wrote Only, Sasha Sloan, is like the female version of Nate. Not the same background, not the same coping mechanisms, but a lot of pain and the feeling that she's different from those around her. I would highly recommend giving a listen to her song. She's talented.
I have no idea when the 2 of you started your page but I can tell you that I'm subscribed... I'm going to go all the way back from the beginning of where yall started and if yall don't blow up on this reaction shit I'm fucking lost!!!! I love your guys energy, your dynamic, just really enjoy the dialog so I'm hoping nothing but the best for yalll!!!!
Don’t know if you’ll see this comment but you guys seem perfect for each other and I really like the side conversation from the song. Keep producing this type of content please! ❤️
Anyone else end up blurting into laughter from some of Lex's commentary? No... just me? LOL Lex girl, you are too funny sometimes without even trying to be. That crying in my Lamborghini made me bust out laughing and startled my dog! lol
Regarding the part where he talks about chasing things in life but not knowing what we’re after, you should check out his song “10 Feet Down.” He hits on this idea in that song. Plus, it’s a really good song that I think is really underrated. It’s on his Perception album. Maybe when the journey is over, circle back to that one.
Lex needs to hire herself out as a personal cheer leader type person. She could walk with me all day long giving commentary on things happening. She is a smart, cluey cookie. 👍 love the breakdowns.
Actually it's not. It's a pitched up tone from Sasha Sloan. The song literally says "featuring Sasha Sloan." He has other songs that he uses his pitched up voice, but not this one.
This song is amazing, I love it so much and it's probably the most played song on my playlist. If you wanna hear the song the chorus is used from, listen to The Only - Sasha Sloan it's a very nice and relatable song too.
There's this tale about some kid with autism that the parents sent to a tribe in Africa because in some of those places they consider autism as a gift and something that that person needs to resolve from the past life, or acomplish in this one, so the kid went and became some sort of a medicine man, shaman or something for some years, after it was solved the kid was sent back to his parents fully recovered and got a degree in medicine. It's a tale I heard from someone.
In all honesty being the only one going through something is terrifying because no one else would or could help. Imagine being the last person on earth, wouldn’t that be scary
On the scared to take the medication line I interpreted it as his mom was addicted to pills so in the back of his mind he’s always scared about becoming addicted to a drug or medication
Even Stevie Knight, one of the most hardball macho reactors kinda broke down on this one, dunno if it's on the list but do NF - I miss the days, it's a really beautifull one, in fact there's a youtube video of that track looping for an hour :D
Hey this message is for Lex, My friend has a brother with Aspergers he's 24 now and was a very strange kid but super smart and was super Hyper with no meds and Zombie like with meds and he tried Eating THC food aka Marijuana and You wouldn't believe he is the same person. Not telling you what to do but if your family is Okay with it and if it's legal where your from you might want to ask him if he wanted to try it. I swear it is like night and day and he doesn't even take meds anymore. But you do you I know it's not for everyone. (FYI I do not smoke pot but the way it helped Michael is crazy So I support it for actual medical uses)
You mentioned how it's comforting to know that other people are going through stuff as well. We'll, it's biblical. 1 Peter 5:9. God knew what He was doing when He designed us. 😉
I believe "Leave Me Alone" is a reference of not wanting to be on medication for NF. I may be wrong, but that's what I get from it. I'm not sure if you have reacted to that song yet.
I kinda think that being rich and depressed would probably be worse than being poor and depressed. Poor people have something to work towards still to convince them selves that things can / will get better. What does a rich person have to work towards? They’re already at the top and realized that money doesn’t fix it. It probably seems even more hopeless at that point
I believe the reason why he is scared to take the medication is because he doesn't want to get hooked like his mother. She was hooked on prescription medication.
“They’ll write checks to me..but won’t check on me”...that’s one of my favorite NF lines😰💔
That line hits my SOUL!
I’ve noticed some TH-camrs call him trash or a rip off Eminem. And that his music is always the same style😒. But they will never understand that NF has helped many of us
I can say the same about a lot of the rappers they worshipping
really? i havent seen any youtubers say he is trash, ive heard them say that he's similar to Eminem but thats it

Two of the most genuine reactors! Love y’all!
Thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏾💯
My fav song from him! Hate myself, I Miss the Days, and Only just hit different for me ❤️
Wow lol
Same for me 🥺❤️
Paralyzed and Oh Lord too for me
Couldn't agree more. . .I would add Paralyzed and Lost in a moment
I miss the days is good
Those are definitely some of my favorites too
Yo, the fish story hit me like a NF song too lol.
Same when I read it lol
"They'll write checks to, me but don't check on me."

Awesome reaction. Thanks!!
Before Clouds even premiered, there were already 100 dislikes. Obviously the fans outweighed them, but still. Them haters gotta get a life.
I love that Lex was thinking about how he would think about his past when he's old.
Best NF reaction duo on TH-cam period. Also God bless your union. The chemistry and respect between y’all is really visible.
I truly believe that a problem/issue shared is a problem halved. Knowing someone else is going through the same thing takes so much weight & pressure off.
One of my favs by him for sure!!! You guys are great! Thank you for your NF reactions
The line that hits me the hardest is, "Am I the only one that has a loaded gun
That's full of doubts and memories to overcome?
And I complain about 'em when they shoot at me
But I know truthfully I like to load 'em up and let 'em-" Bang! Bang! Bang!
This is what I do on the daily, unfortunately.

@@BradAndLexhaha yes, sadly there will always be people that complain regardless of what you do.
So happy to see Lex viben again with the “non-masculine” songs 🙃😂🤣🤣!
Can’t wait for you guys go back to his MOMENTS album! Awesome to see his style and lyrical skills changed from when he started
Glad to see you guys, keep up the great work I just suggested this so I'm glad to see you read the comments
One of my faves. The loaded gun part hits my soul. The trust list too.
17:03 Lex speaking from her true intuition. I love it because most people can't understand how deeply this goes.
I can't even imagine what Nate goes through on a daily basis. Truly a martyr of depression in my eyes. Sometimes I just wanna give the man a big hug

One of my favorites, glad y’all did this one. Great reaction guys, next up let me go
NF is my favorite.
When a woman is spiritual evolved it's blessing for a man, i have been blessed that way and i see you too Brad
Love that stank face 'Brad gives when a lyric hits deep 🤣🤣🤣 Love it! haha
Loved the discussion listening to this brought up
Saint Mesus- he does a version of CLOUDS with different words but keeps the syllables exact. Straight takes skill to do that you should check that one.
This is my favorite song I can relate so much
Ig the dislikes are from uncomfortable people yk? Like, Nf raps abt things that people say makes them "uncomfortable" and yet, so many people relate. He's real, thata rare. #nfrealmusic
Love yalls reactions
Happy to have yall in the nf family:)
Oh my god I love you're guys reaction it's so awesome please keep doing this and I hope you have a awesome 2021 and 2022
Aww thank you! I hope you do too!
That crying in my Lamborghini made me bust out laughing and startled my dog! lol
My favorite track by far!
Nice video again
Regarding the part where he talks about chasing things in life but not knowing what we’re after, you should check out his song “10 Feet Down.” He hits on this idea in that song. Plus, it’s a really good song that I think is really underrated. It’s on his Perception album.
Maybe when the journey is over, circle back to that one.
Knock you off your rocker is spot on. He says that in one of his songs coming up. Options
Great reaction!! 🖤🖤
Lex needs to hire herself out as a personal cheer leader type person. She could walk with me all day long giving commentary on things happening. She is a smart, cluey cookie. 👍 love the breakdowns.
The voice in this song is actually just NF's voice with a different pitch. Mind blowing right?
Actually it's not. It's a pitched up tone from Sasha Sloan. The song literally says "featuring Sasha Sloan."
He has other songs that he uses his pitched up voice, but not this one.
This one actually features Sasha Sloan but, your are correct in some songs NF sings the hook with his voice pitched high.
This song is amazing, I love it so much and it's probably the most played song on my playlist. If you wanna hear the song the chorus is used from, listen to The Only - Sasha Sloan it's a very nice and relatable song too.
Great conclusion to the final question.😉
There's this tale about some kid with autism that the parents sent to a tribe in Africa because in some of those places they consider autism as a gift and something that that person needs to resolve from the past life, or acomplish in this one, so the kid went and became some sort of a medicine man, shaman or something for some years, after it was solved the kid was sent back to his parents fully recovered and got a degree in medicine. It's a tale I heard from someone.
In all honesty being the only one going through something is terrifying because no one else would or could help. Imagine being the last person on earth, wouldn’t that be scary
Great reaction guys!
Awesome! Love you guys!
It's human nature to not to be alone
Top 5 NF song
17:39 Because we are all connected ♾️
Y'all should react to the original song he used for the hook. Sasha Sloan - Only .. I found her because of this song. Amazing voice.
On the scared to take the medication line I interpreted it as his mom was addicted to pills so in the back of his mind he’s always scared about becoming addicted to a drug or medication
Great reaction. 😎👍
Even Stevie Knight, one of the most hardball macho reactors kinda broke down on this one, dunno if it's on the list but do NF - I miss the days, it's a really beautifull one, in fact there's a youtube video of that track looping for an hour :D
Lol those moves you busted out at the end 🤣
You guys should check out his song I miss the days on that album
Lil nf. In 10 years
Hey this message is for Lex, My friend has a brother with Aspergers he's 24 now and was a very strange kid but super smart and was super Hyper with no meds and Zombie like with meds and he tried Eating THC food aka Marijuana and You wouldn't believe he is the same person.
U just made the list! Chris Jericho
I hope the brother is happy
Good stuff guys!
Lex - “Layers on Layers!”
😊😊
I love you’re guys reactions pls do a reaction to NF 3am
I'm waiting for you guys to do paid my dues it's a good one. 🔥👀
You check out Sasha Sloan's song Only. She's the woman singing on this track. It's just as amazing as this song.
