And Benedict well his eye roll when Anthony looks at Kate and drifts off says it all. Even Gregory knew and made sure to pin a "make better choices" stare at his eldest brother.
What I always liked about Violet is that she may be pushing to get her children married but she doesn't want them to get married to the first person they dance with or meet. She wants them to marry for love so they will be their happiest they can be in life and when she as a mother doesn't sence true love she doesn't really try to hide her sceptics about them. The entire time Daphne was with The Prince, Violet seemed content and pleased but not happy and always mentioned how Daphne was with Simon and how that was love. When Anthony kept mentioning moving things on with Edwina she would always have this unsure look on her face.

I love this video but I think this season shows that Violet will never be done with Anthony (or any of the others). She comes to him at his level, not directly hers. And per the book, Anthony would move heaven and Earth for his mother.

One of my favourite parts of the second series was when they arrived at Lady Danbury's ball and Violet loudly announced that Anthony was finally looking to marry this year, then cheerily left him to be swarmed by debutantes.
This is honestly my favorite video today!! I missed so much of violet’s reactions being distracted by other people. I could watch this show a zillion times and still miss something. With so many main characters you can’t tune into it all with one watch.
