This is very detailed and very well executed. So many people that do the finger set have no idea of the principles that are being taught. Thank You for an excellent video

I'm getting ready to go for my Blue belt, and this was probably the best example of the Finger Set I have found. Thank you for the detailed break down.
It always makes me laugh, I have three instructors, and the forms all have differences between them as they teach us, and your form is the closest I have found that matches theirs.
Once again, thank you from New Zealand.

Thank you for your comment, it's always good to hear when people find my videos of use. You'll always find differences between instructors, their interpretation and execution of Kenpo. Look for what works for you, try not to become a clone of any instructor because Kenpo is a personal art. Very good luck to you in your up and coming promotion to blue belt too.

The reason it is called finger set is because all the strikes are done with the fingers striking soft targets there are no groin grabs no elbow strikes no striking the Ribs with the fingers (you are striking the liver )there are no heel palm strikes(heel palms are not fingers) The last two finger hooks are the same moves in the technique called gathering clouds😎

Thank you for your comments, it's good to see another perspective. Kenpo was never supposed to be a static art, but one that continually grows and updates. To isolate the art to just one version or point of view would only serve to traditionalise it and halt that progression. 👍
