What's been happening at Melbourne Zoo while closed?

Zoos Victoria CEO Dr Jenny Gray takes us on a tour of Melbourne Zoo during lockdown to see what the keepers have been up to and how the animals have been coping without visitors.

I'm kind of doubtful that the animals are missing the visitors. It would be wonderfully peaceful for them at the moment.
The zoo must be the best place to hang out during lockdown.

I’ve witnessed those lions roar... it’s breathtaking. Like an otherworldly experience. You can feel the ground rumble and it bellows through your body. Seriously one of the best experiences of my life.

We are open again now but had to close due to statewide COVID restrictions that were in place here in Victoria
