Those Pennsy 2-8-0's are just awesome engines!
Having run both the 8912 and the LIRR 113, I can say without a doubt that Wayne builds some incredible locomotives!
thats pretty awesome...
Wish I had a nice layout like this in the field behind my house. Thanks for the video.
Great video. Nice way to start Friday morning with a cup of coffee and the Steam Channel.
I love the stack talk!
Nice vídeo!
Thanks for sharing!
Looks like a super place :)
Man, this looks like such an awesome place. Hard to tell if it's a huge model railway, or a mini real railway. Good stuff,!! Keep it up. :-)
Prr m1s are amazing
Hope that was a spring switch they ran through...
love the video. Can you do a video on websites for those who want to make or buy a live steam train? for example a scale of 7.5 to 10.
@@TheSteamChannel ok thank you. I always wanted learn the difference between them.
Here's another question, can someone still build there own live steam locomotives from scratch from A to Z? Or do they need a license person to make the boiler?
boilers of this size dont require any licenses etc to build, but basically all clubs require that they pass a hydrostatic test and usually steam test, and in some cases it's required by the state as well
edit: a lot of people do get professionals to build their boilers, but you always *could* build your own, as long as it works
How many people can your average live steam locomotive pull?
I believe it all depends in make and model and how many cars etc. It all comes down to weight in the end, wether its alive or not
It depends on the size of the locomotive and the boiler pressure of said locomotive

8:25 absolutely outstanding locomotive handling on the engineers part and outstanding shot of the stack talk of the little engine giving it all shes got
That's what I wish we'd see more of in this hobby; really testing an engine's limits. You can hear her slipping just every quarter wheel turn - she's right on the verge of losing all traction, but the engineer juuust managing to walk that tight rope.
