- Die Prager Metro wurde am 09. Mai 1974 eröffnet und verfügt zum aktuellen Zeitpunkt über 57 Stationen und eine Streckenlänge von 59,3 km. Die ursprünglich von Metrovagonmash hergestellten Züge des Typs 81-717 wurden durch Škoda modernisiert und werden seitdem als 81-71M bezeichnet. Diese Züge verkehren auf den Linien A und B. Auf der Linie C werden ausschließlich die 48 von Siemens gelieferten Züge des Typs M1 eingesetzt.
The Prague Metro was opened on the 9th May 1974 and consists actually of 57 stations and a lenght of 59,3 km. The formerly by Metrovagonmash produced trains 81-717 were modernised by Škoda and are now known as 81-71M. These trains are in service on lines A and B. Line C is running with 48 trains of type M1 made by Siemens.
krásné Metro. Líbí se mi, žiju v Petrohradě, ale pražské Metro je velmi krásné! respekt + respekt k Praze!
Byl jsem v Petrohradě před 2 lety a město se mi velmi líbilo a petrohradské METRO je prostě úžasné, zvláště ty nejstarší stanice! Jen je bohužel vidět, že do vlaků atd , není investováno tolik jako v Moskvě. Celkově mám na ten výlet (Finsko, Estonsko a Rusko) krásné vzpomínky. Posílám pozdrav z Prahy! 🙂

Vielen Dank! Die U-Bahnhöfe in Prag kann man sicherlich nicht mit den Prunkbauten in Moskau vergleichen, trotzdem hat mir der Stil an vielen Bahnhöfen sehr gefallen. Besonders charakteristisch habe ich die Wandkacheln mit kugelförmiger Vertiefung empfunden, die ich an mehreren Bahnhöfen, aber in unterschiedlichen Farben, gesehen habe. Diese sind auch in meinem Video zu sehen!

Sehr schöner Film! Die modernisierten Wagen sind eine äußerst interessante Mischung aus alt und neu und dann noch das spacige Fahrgeräusch! Letzteres gilt auch für die neuen Siemens-Züge. Schön, dass Du auch Details wie die Kurzkupplung oder die Uhr mit Timer bzgl. des vorausfahrenden Zugs zeigst. Die Geschwindigkeit der Rolltreppen ist geil, da ist man vermutlich schneller als bei uns mit einer halb so langen Rolltreppe. ;-)

Die modernisierten 81-71M wegen dem Alt-Neu-Kontrast, wie du schon gesagt hast, und die neuen Siemens-Züge wegen dem Fahrgeräusch und dem Einzelwagen-Konzept, dass beim heutigen technischen Standard ja eher ungewöhnlich ist. Vielleicht fallen mir beim nächsten Besuch ja noch weitere interessante Details auf! Da gibt es garantiert noch viel zu entdecken... :-)

I think the Prague metro is in a very good condition and it's the fastest way to travel through Prague. I like the trains very much and if you are interested in history, the Prague metro is very exciting and interesting. There are so many things to discover and you'll always find something new. Beyond that the announcements in the trains are classic and everybody who stayed in Prague knows the sound. What do you think about the metro in Prague?

Yes, with some differences... Maracaibo uses overhead wire, only 3-car trains, but with longer cars! Looks a bit weird to me... I prefer the original design of M1 and M1D! :)
Is the sound inside the carriage? Other words, do people need speak aloud in carriage to understand each other (the first carriage - 81-71M)?
Hello Tata! When the train is in the tunnel, you have to speak louder, yes. But it's not hard to speak and understand each other. The trains in Prague have a modern propulsion system and new motors that don't make loud noises. Certainly you recognized it in this video when a 81-71M left a station. Furthermore the trains have anti-noise shields on the side of the roof tops and the windows of the carriages are mainly closed. All these things help to reduce noise inside the carriages. The metro trains in Tbilisi are much louder.

Yes, it sounds pretty Georgian to me! :) The other thing is the connection between Prague and Tbilisi with the same looking metro trains... So I put two and two together! :)

The trains are built by Metrovagonmash, but were modernized by Škoda between 1996 and 2011.

M1 rolling stocks are the worst rolling stocks ever made. You have in those air conditioning that's true but they are only like 3 or 4 vents in each of those wagons it's still hot in there and when it's summer it's even worse especially when a wagon is full of passengers and most of them are standing then there isn't any change to get freshen up. Just my opinion I don't how this suits to other citizens of Prague but for me it's 81-71M more suitable than M1.
I am borned in Prague and I didn't notice any problem with ventilation never and down in stations and tunnels is cold even in summer. ;-)
Ikr, it was a problem with ventilation so they added fans on the roof, but it's still bad
I am high so i have problems with the height of the doors in 81-71M.

That train is from georgia
It's not from Georgia, but it looks similar. When you look closer, you'll see the difference of door windows and the interior of the trains. Tbilisi copied the coloring of the exterior design with little changes.
