Alexander, of all the sacred buildings in England, Tewksbury is by far my most favourite. I really enjoy visiting this ancient Abbey. Again thank you for watching and commenting. Always such a pleasure to see your words.... Nigel
Hi The Rocinka, Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, I have not visited Oxford for many years. My time back home was limited, most of which there were/are days of rain, so have not manged to film more of our great places.....
Wonderful video!! Tewksbury is of especial interest to me because my parents were both descendants of Lady Eleanor de Clare and husband Hugh Despenser, 2nd Lord Despenser who were buried here at the ancestral De Clare family tombs. Hugh and Eleanor were ancestors of William Farrar, Diana Skipwith Dale, and Col. Thomas Ligon who were aristocrats that settled in colonial Virginia in the 1600’s and were ancestors of my mother and father. I visited England last year and went to several ancestral homes of my family but never did see Tewksbury due to time constraints. There will be another time.
Hi Nigel Great video. Your Motherland is so beautiful! By any chance, don't you have anything on Oxford? Merton College, in particular. I've always wondered how Tolkien's University looks like:)

Wonderful video Nigel. I wonder if you could tell me what the music is which the choir are singing. I feel it may be a psalm or an anthem
The music is psalm 103 from the album The Splendours of "The Psalms of David".....
I would like to visit someday. My ancestor Edward Phelps d. 1681 was buried under the church floor.
the bird singing for 1-3 mins, repeating the same phrase....any idea?
Thank you.... I hope I have done justice to the wonderful Abbey.
