I agree with you my friend. I just enjoy watching the trains go around, remembering the old days. I have currently around 100 trains, and just purchased another 6. I don't drink or smoke, and a confirmed bachelor, retired. All the best to you
Thanks for sharing O had a small Triang set in KZN South Africa in the early 60"s lasting for 6 years. It's amazing that you were able to carry on wiyh yours! Well done!
Thank you Paul, I think I spent more time looking at the things you had stored under and around the layout, you have a lot of very nice items. Regards, David.
That looks like an awesome collection. Sadly mine has long since gone. Starting all over again after 40 years. Look forward to seeing it unpacked and running on the layout. I love seeing this old stuff again.
Sorry you've lost your original Railway I wish you all the best tracking down items....It's great fun adding and making up sets as well as " I always wanted one of those" Cheers Steve
Hi Paul, Just subscribed. I like what you are doing. 60 year old loco's still run well. It will be nice to see them running once again. Good luck with your project. Regards Mike
Good to see what you're planning to do, that's a great collection to have. My loft layout has about 60% Super 4 with connections to Series 3 and Peco code 100 / lima/ Hornby etc circuits too. Many different flavours of points, mostly short radius settrack and whilst the mostly older stock manages to use all different rail profiles it does grumble a bit when hitting chairs on the lower profiles and gets a bit slippy on nickel rails on inclines :) Slower speeds over the points / diamonds helps keep thing on the track. On that note, I'd suggest a small retaining wall/fence on the inside edges of your baseboard as tri-ang stuff does tend to like derailing / launching at inconvenient times. I'll look forward to updates. Best of luck. Mike
Excellent Mike yes perspex will be going along the front. I run extra dropper wires to the track in a bid to spot power fade out. As you say our old track at times can course issues, all part of the fun
