Thanks Doug, for the kind words😀. If you really want to learn to fly this plane, check out my full checklist video here: th-cam.com/video/qRBlN4xyUYY/w-d-xo.html. There's a link in the notes to download the checklist. I still can't believe this is a default aircraft.
One of my favorite aircraft, I purchased the X-Plane 12, but going to stay with X-Plane 11, until its out of early access, new subscriber and here to learn.
Yeap, the Citation X and the Hotstart Challenger are my two favorite X-Plane aircraft. Staying with X-Plane 11 is a good idea at the moment. I've only been able to complete about 10% of any flight, over an hour, in XP12. At the time of this reply, it's at RC3 but it's still wonky.
Not bad for first flight ;) Citation Ten is really great plane and a lot of experience required to handle it. Nice to see below your comment about EagleSoft memories. I compared XP 12 version with Eagleasoft and see that GREAT JOB was done by XP 12 programmers and this "default" model has great flight dynamics and accurate modelled systems. Especially FMS with Lnav and Vnav functios. Nice to see that some bugs from first beta releases were fixed and now this bird can be compared with Payware ES model. If you have it you can use their documentation here. As I remember, the checklist was available from their website for free download. All the best to you in Jets Study !!!
Apologies for the delay in responding. I thought I'd replied months ago. The X was my absolute favorite jet in FSX; ahh, the good old days, right? I liked the direction the Eaglesoft checklist was going. It seemed logical to me. So I used it as a template for developing one suited to the X. For those of you who don't know, the checklist can be found here: ewhitecap.com/files/Citation%20X%20checklist-v2.03.pdf
@@CaptFrankWhite Great Job. Thank you for the checklist. I also missed to check Laminar Research Citation X folder to check their documentation ;) Good Idea, Thanks. So, are you PPL holder or student in real life, as I understand from your stream ?
@@andrewletaev2097 I was a student pilot years ago. Never got my PPL. At this point, it's no matter 'cause I don't think I'd fly enough IRL to stay proficient.
I've been migrating to jets lately. Not the airliners, though. The Challenger has been a real challenge and I've spent a lot of time learning it. The Mitsubishi MU-2 is also a challenge and it too demands a lot of time. I've always loved flying the Citation X. I have fond memories of flying it back in my MS FSX days. I think Eaglesoft did a really great job and developing it for that sim. I've come full circle, almost. Back in the Citation X. I'll always jump back into my C172, the PA28, the DeHavilland Beaver, the PC-12, and the list goes on. Stay tuned for some great content in the Mitsubishi MU-2. I plan to get some sim training from a real-world MU-2 Pilot (th-cam.com/channels/_x53AowsgBlXm0wkMgpQMg.html) and stream the content live. It's always nice hearing from you, Ron.
Why Sir you don't make a trial first alone before recording a video for the public? I can also try to discover what button does what! Fortunately I can understand and follow videos in 5 languages!😱
Thank you a lovely calm exploration of a beautiful plane. really did enjoy it and learnt quite a bit.

In XP12 I usually fly XP11 airplanes, mostly Piper Twins. Have flown the C172. I really like XP12, nice to see someone else using it.

I could, but I make videos for the joy of it. I don't want it to become "work". Thanks for asking.
