Is there anyone who does quilling designs of fruit, trees and scenery? I love flowers, I am just dreamimg up other applications for quilling. Miriam, your work is gorgeous and so colorful! Thank You for sharing with us.
Thank you very much, Janet! 😊 I made a video recently which had some trees and scenery. Here it is, if you're interested in that type of content: th-cam.com/video/2QZVRZ3oh4Q/w-d-xo.html
Absolutely astonishing Miriam that you can not only coil 1mm strips so perfectly but that you can make and shape them to be so symmetrical, such skill and dexterity. I really love the way you made the body too with the wedged shaped strip, that’s very clever and the tiny antenna! Your work really is on another level Miriam. I must admit I struggle with 2mm strips so I don’t know if I could manage 1mm, but I must try using the toothpick. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent with us. 😘❤️
Thank you so much, Orla! Your comments are always so sweet and kind! 💓 I often hear people say they are having a harder time with 1mm paper strips and I can understand. I myself, at my beginnings, started out with 3 mm and worked my way down to 1 mm. So, there is hope! 😊 Maybe it's also easier for me that for a couple of years or so, I mostly worked with 1 mm paper strips on the majority of my projects, so maybe that helped too. I'm wishing you a beautiful week, Orla, and a happy time quilling! 😊🦋🌟
Aww, thank you very much, Celeste! 💓 That's nice to hear! At my beginnings with quilling, I tried making butterflies but they always ended too big or bulky. Through the years I've always wanted to be able to make a more delicate version so this is how this butterfly was created. I'm happy to say that for now I'm content with this version of butterfly 🦋😊.
your butterflies are so pretty, the details on them give them a nice touch! i have one question though, how are you able to roll one mm strips without the shape popping out? everytime i try to roll one mm strips, the coil pops out 🥲
Thank you very much! 😊 Honestly, I don't know what to say, I guess it's just practice and practice. I too have had and still have moments when the coil pops out, but I just start all over again when that happens 🙈. It can be a test to the patience, but the more you practice, the better it gets. That has been my experience.
@@MiriamsQuilling thank you for the reply! 😄 it really is a test to the patience, i feel like giving up everytime my coil pops out, it’s so frustrating! i feel better though, knowing that i just have to practice 😅

Is that a handmade tool? Looks like a toothpick.
Yes, it's a toothpick that I slit at one end to make it a slotted tool.
