Oh! I'd like to point this out for people to know. Whenever any agent delivers a charged melee attack they have a cooldown of resetting their animation before being able to fire their weapon again. Now, I don't know if this is a bug or not, but Larcin can bypass this cooldown if he steals something from an opponent, even if it's intel. This can be capitalized by using his W3, as you start a fight with a charged melee (30dmg), then you can immediately shoot even if your gun isn't on screen during his inspect animation (15dmg body, 20dmg head), and you can finish them off with either a quick melee (15dmg) or the gun throw (30dmg body, 60dmg head). You can even try out some risky play by emptying your gun in advance, holding a gadget while in cover to keep your gun empty, and then quickly switch to your gun and immediately hold a melee attack. This prevents you from reloading. If you deliver a charged melee attack and steal something, Larcin can immediately throw the gun in rapid succession for either an instant 60 or 90dmg if a headshot was landed.
The octo w1 intel shot's giant size also works against it sometimes. A bunch of times npcs will just absorb the bullet if they're standing anywhere between you and the target.
i came back after a long hiatus, I really think sayori is better of the new characters for a newer player. I've been enjoying octo the most the idea of using intel as ammo, gambling with it, and sucking up as much as you can as fast as you can is such a fun mechanic for the game. The primary reason i left was the respawn mechanic wasnt in place(camping dead bodies being rampant) and the heat system wasn't punishing at all(shooting every npc to sus someone out). I'm glad to see they fixed both of those things.
I'm a crazy person, so I use his FIRST expertise to re-enable intel I just hacked. I ended up in the endgame with over 40 intel in reserve using weapon 1 and passive 2. *hoarders, amirite?*
would love to see an updated tier list, would help new players choose a agent now since the weapon range drop off has nerfed a lot of the agents and changed the way you pick and choose fights as a lot have to happen up close now there is very limited long range options that are viable to do damage. Octo is one of these people who has to get close with weapon 2 especially. but a lot more agents and there weapons are not as good as they used to be - and can be quite frustrating for new players to get bodied by a superior weapon from another agent.
A tier list is on my to-do list, I want to make one very soon, but I'm still trying to work out where everyone goes, the update shook up a lot of things!
It’s interesting how they removed limb shot damage with the release of Octo. I wonder if the devs thought Octo would have too much advantage doing headshot damage on limbs when other spies couldn’t? Or maybe they couldn’t find a way to code the limb shots to do the same damage as regular shots on only Octo?
Honestly I don't think the removal of limb shots had much to do with Octo, though maybe. Previously the best strategy was to jump around crazy in fights to try to get them to hit your legs instead of your chest and the devs didn't really like that
i feel like octo is a really complex character with a big ole curve compared to the rest of the cast, but hes super fun when you get used to him. Hes either your first agent unlocked so you can master him or you unlock him last so you can get a good grasp on the game
Octo's w1 is def most consistent and best pick across all levels. W2 used to be really strong but it's kinda meh now. It's good on starting fight with insta 60 dmg but rev up is so slow that they can still kill you faster. the sniper is ok, but it's consuming too much intel and has very low fire rate on ads that why would you use it?

Thats actually really interesting, I'm going to have to try that
4:22 that was a spy. NPCs stay crouched after water-bucket-ing someone for a little bit.
I considered that, but I wasn't willing to risk being wrong. Good call out though!
15:46 That spinning Doug lmao
octo was my first buy for the intel gain/capacity, and it felt weird going to the other spys after
Jumping off the dock to deny the enemy your loot is so spiteful. Thanks for the video.
The loot will actually drop where you left the dock, so it doesn't even do that 🤣

The madame in the first game was trying to do the strat

Love the Vids man. Your content really makes me want to buy this game but I suck at blending in haha. Always look forward to your videos.
Leaving a comment for the algorithm. Loved the video
Two Cavs using passive 2? That's rare.

Does that Octo expertise only from drain intel from players?
Yes

I feel like Red is harder
@@doctorwhoinpowerpoint I mean both are different skill sets, I just think octos learning curve is much higher compared to the rest!
i claimed the twitch drop octo skin but for some reason i did not get it
Hmmm, all I can suggest is to reach out to their support teams. Sorry that happened!
I'm turning Octo meta with hacktrap and P2...I'm seeing it more often now that I've got wins with it
Liked it😊
i am going to eat my hand😡😡😡😡
you didn't make me do this glitch don't worry
also here is a free comment for youtube stats

not the nerf gun allegations... it's true though 😔🤧
still my favorite weapon in the game though, nobody can convince me otherwise 😤😤
