I really think it's neat how the Japanese restaurants provide stuff at the tables. For instance the silverware that staged at the tables or how some restaurants have hot water spigots to make your own fresh green tea. Very convenient. Thanks Eric for showing us the differences between our cultures🎉

While I do love your vending machine videos, It's also always a treat when you get to show us some restaurants (or even food festivals). Keep up the good work, Eric.
Its a family restaurant was not expecting 6's. Been forever since I have been to a cocos in the states. Not even sure if they still exist in California. Better quality then what I would expect here though.
Eric, again I love all the variety in food that Japan has to offer...I really loved this video, though I will never sway from having my steak well done, many times I marinate my steaks overnight in the fridge before frying them next day, this works for me.

Growing up in So Cal just like you, it is so interesting seeing Coco's Restaurant. It was a staple in Huntington Beach where we grew up and to see it in Japan is wild, and very interesting. This was very neat and reminds me of being a kid. Again, I actually had my 8th grade graduation dinner there in the 80;s they had the best bakery too, great memories for sure. Your choices were really good. The steak could have been medium rare. But that's my favorite choice for steak. They shut down our Cocos. We were really bummed. It's great that they still provide tablets to order from. Nowadays many places you need a phone to place your order. A bit difficult if your phone runs out of battery.
7:25 as someone, who every year grow different pumpkins, yes, some good with cheese or as pizza toppings. You can't go wrong with smoked cheese and pumpkin.

looked really nice some of that food it made me smile when you said you used to use muscles as fish bait as my grandad would get a half pound of then for bait when he took me fishing ! really cheap on that wine as well in the uk its anywhere from £3.50 to £5.50 for a small glass of wine !! the pumkin rice dish looked really nice i would love to try something similar to this if i ever got the chance keep up the awesome videos i love it when i get chance to watch or join a premier much love !
That was a "one" from me all day long; cheese with fish, mixed up rice and shaved rice with condensed milk has to be my idea of hell lol! I like all the ingredients, but just not how they have been put together here.... its rare to see something in your vids that I wouldnt eat, but Cocos managed it lol! PS Condensed milk is the best thing ever, but you gotta use it right

Coco’s Bakery is separate. They are down to 11 locations, 3 of which are in Arizona.
Same here. I live in NE Los Angeles, and the only Coco's left in this area (Pasadena) closed a few months ago. 😞

The rice with cheese looked like a Mornay sauce. Mornay is a white sauce that you add grated cheese to. It’s a good way to use up leftover rice.
