I am branching out my fishing this year. I typically fish ultralight in trout streams, so hearing a #1 hook called small and 6 lb test called light really takes some time to register in my brain haha.
Nice vid. Definitely picked up a few new ideas. I'm a retired English teacher and a fishing addict. Your HS English teachers must be proud. Not only do you know your stuff, but you are articulate and support what you are saying. You know fishing, but also teach well. Thank you.
This was a nicely informative and comprehensive video. Well done and give yourself a deserved pat on the back for conveying the necessaries with a no-bones-attached style. Considering the Really shite content from much larger and "popular" channels on TH-cam, you easily outdone them. I'm always tweaking my soft bait drop-shot presentations for perch here in Ireland, with some devastating results on some, and always like to watch decent videos on such techniques and baits. Keep the good vids coming.
Thanx a lot for the footage - great to see it underwater! Next time You could show the Duo Realis Crazy Crawler 4" - it has a slightly swimming tail . . .
Great video Big bro,, you have a good technological innovations the average fisherman would have never known, you glided that lure perfectly it looked just like a fish,,, I'm going to put more glide and pulls,in my fishing techniques this year thanks for the help you have given me, duane Alfred thomas Cleveland Ohio
When I saw President Bobby I was like "no way its Bobby from team edge" then I saw that beautiful face of Bobby-San and I got pure joy. Also your my favorite person from team edge
great video. fish speckled trout here in southeast louisiana, deep channels/bayous can hold trout. most have some tide/current . i have trouble getting hook not to line twist ,can you give pointer on how to prevent that. do trout hit a drop shot lure? thanks john
I would bet the twist in your line was caused by a bait that would spin when you reel it in. Lures spin because they aren't rigged straight or the hook your using is an offset. An offset hook has a slight bend in it, so if you were to lay it on a table it won't lay flat. You can get the twists out a few different ways. If you have access to a boat you can cut off the hook and or bait from your line, lay your line in water open your bail and. Run the boat until you have all the twisted line is off the spool. The line will straighten itself out. If you live near a stream you can do the same thing except the water is moving instead the boat.
Nice Video! Got few questions, his do you tie the hook on there? Can you use a swivel and put the hook on there so that you can change out the bait? Thanks
How do you get the hook to stay upright or at a 90 degree angle to the ground with a size one hook and four or six pound test? My hooks stays upright but any little motion from the bait or anything makes the hook sit at an angle pointing downwards, due to the knot going through the eye of the hook, and yes I’m taking the tag end and running down through the eye of the hook after tying the knot, any help would be appreciated
Sorry im new to drop shot...but should nt the sinker stay put & we should only shake the line for best presentation? I heard that if the sinket is moving ur not fishing.
Nice video Bobby. My go to drop shot bait is the Googan Squad drag and drop in green pumpkin pearl. Used it just the other day to catch a smb within minutes of my arriving at the Willamette River to fish. Give it a shot. lol You will love it.
Awesome video bro! Just bought the z-man and the Reins. Can't wait to use them!! Now that I know how awesome the action is cus of your video!! Thx brother!!
Owner mosquito light hook, size #1. I like the mosquito light but there a really thin wire and if you don't have a smooth drag they can bend or break fairly easy. I really recomend the gamakatsu split/drop #1. It has a slightly thicker wire and sticks em as well or better then mosquito light.
Great videos to see exactly how various baits work in the water. Certain action movement and color can make a huge difference. On any given day. It makes me want to throw many more lures in my pool to see what's really going on. Thanks
Bobby-san I just started last year fishing these kind of baits (for bass) but what are those type of line were you talking about? Also what type of weight it that? Just many questions.
From my experience the roboworm is the best. 1. Straight tail 4.5inch bold bluegill 2. Straight tail 4.5inch green pumpkin 3. Straight tail 4.5inch black grape If all fails that’s when I switch over to the Ned rig. Sometimes a Ned will out fish a dropshot and vice versa.
Wow that’s a great vid man! I make my own soft plastics and this vid gave me a ton of ideas. I Love the drop shot, and have caught a lot of fish this way! Thanks!
awesome , good demo Thanks ,, it helps me to see how it reacts underwater , some I liked and didn't depending on the action , surprised , keep it up . ,,, only wish I knew what region your fishing ,, north or south or mid ? ….its a different dynamic between north and south fishing styles
I have a bunch of random really thin short curly tail worms I got for my birthday when I was like 9, I just cut the curl tail of so it looks like a worm and it works like a charm
How about a video on the basics [Eg. tying knots, how to set up different rigs. how to cast]. Was watching the Team Edge fishing challenge and when you had that whiteboard filled up and they didnt let you explain it in the video, seemed like kind of a waste.
It's funny because Everytime I us the drop shot in my local fisheries my numbers go up. It's not something I use in one spot, I constantly drop and shake and if I don't get hit I move 3'-5' and work the weed lines etc. Saturday I pulled 20+ and lost a few too in less than 100yrd run.
hello bobby, I love your videos, this is so informational! I love watching you and team edge fish!!! i bet ur so happy you didnt have to go overboard! can you mention more fishing vids to team edge? also can you male a series covering fkshing categories, (bait, hooks, rod and reels) and then can you go deeper with the tupes of bait. thx, sorry if its to much to ask!
i am from sweden and we dont have bass we only have trout, pike and perch etc. can u do some tips for those fish. even tho i know you mostly fish bass:)
Hi Gary, I'm new to your channel. What a Fantastic idea to compare different baits Underwater. It's a lot to take in. Could you hold the packaging just a little closer to the camera and just a few seconds longer for us Slightly older guys to soak All your Valuable info in
Bro put the hook in a quarter inch under the head and bring the tip of the hook out through the nose ! Trust me it’s a very affective way to fish the dropshot ! It’s pretty weedless too, but the hook and the bait basically become one and it looks way more natural I learned that from watching Aaron Martin.
I catch a lot of fish on a drop shot, usually how I get my limit right away then I upgrade. I also use it so I can cover a lot of water with a finesse approach. Other than that good video
There not bad. I use them when I fish a DS in grass. The ribs do a job at keeping the #1 or 1/0 rebarb or owner cover shot from snagging grass. The hookup to land ratio is slightly lower because the point of the hook has go through a couple ribs before it gets to the fishes mouth, but you still land most of the fish that hit.
I am branching out my fishing this year. I typically fish ultralight in trout streams, so hearing a #1 hook called small and 6 lb test called light really takes some time to register in my brain haha.
Hey bobby your my favorite team edge person been watching for a while and I love fishing because my uncle is a professional bass fisher
This is by far the best comparison I’ve seen on TH-cam great job! Just subscribed!
Same bro this guys gives really great advice that other channels refuse to give due to competition
Nice vid. Definitely picked up a few new ideas. I'm a retired English teacher and a fishing addict. Your HS English teachers must be proud. Not only do you know your stuff, but you are articulate and support what you are saying. You know fishing, but also teach well. Thank you.
Great video!! Also the Half shell is a beaver cut in half lengthwise
I guess I should have continued watching… 😂 Good work:)

Great video. Getting to see them each in the water is genius and big help. Thanks.
Old video but man you just taught me a lot on what baits to use in my drop shot. Thanks bro, keep it up..

This channel is underrated
When I saw President Bobby I was like "no way its Bobby from team edge" then I saw that beautiful face of Bobby-San and I got pure joy. Also your my favorite person from team edge
Wow that kitech looks crazy realistic! Especially when you drag it, going to have to tie this on and drag it slow especially with this cold weather.
Have you tried the lake fork baby shad line? Best I have tried on a 1/16- 1/8oz jig and drop shot
great video.
fish speckled trout here in southeast louisiana, deep channels/bayous can hold trout.

If you are using an offset hook I suggest an inline hook, Gamakatsu #1 split/drop shot hook
Would you recommend roboworms for saltwater?
Try googan baits drag n drop! It’s great for a drop shot catches fish and they have great colors
I'm with you
Nice Video! Got few questions, his do you tie the hook on there? Can you use a swivel and put the hook on there so that you can change out the bait? Thanks

Strike king dropshot smaller bait and the roboworm baits are awesome
I'm not a huge fish catch person but I'm just her because I love Bobby
Sorry im new to drop shot...but should nt the sinker stay put & we should only shake the line for best presentation? I heard that if the sinket is moving ur not fishing.

Do you use a scent on your drop shot ?
Can you see if the creme scoundrel worm can stretch and not break?
Why doesn't this channel have more channel! Deserves many more subscribers!!!
Great videos to see exactly how various baits work in the water. Certain action movement and color can make a huge difference. On any given day. It makes me want to throw many more lures in my pool to see what's really going on. Thanks

Missile baits bomb shot?
There not bad. I use them when I fish a DS in grass. The ribs do a job at keeping the #1 or 1/0 rebarb or owner cover shot from snagging grass.
