There is something words cannot describe being on a boat, waking up and seeing the day coming to life. Then the sunsets as the day turns to night full of stars. :-)
That seems like such a special gift, to make your way under the power of the wind...no engine noise or vibrations, just the tug of a breeze to propel you. Safe travels southward Taylor.
Another great video Taylor! The more i watch your videos the more i am impressed. You are an amazing woman, and is someone that all young people should aspire to be. You are setting the example for all people to follow. I watch you here on Taylor’s travels, on Sailing Doodles, on SV Delos, and MJ Sailing, and those are the ones i know of. You are also the captain of your ship, whether it be with a crew or solo, she is still your ship, and a huge responsibility. Maybe you put her first, but... in so doing as her captain you have to take care of yourself, it is part of putting your boat first. She trusts you and therefore you must take care of yourself. Word of advice... prior planning is everything, when solo, fix yourself some food ahead of time so later while underway you can simply grab and go. Plan your day the way you would plan your course... it works. Love your videos, be safe, and fair winds
I started my latest sailing adventures in Melbourne when I took delivery of what was to become SunShine. Now it's 12 years and 20,000 miles later. What a ride it has been. May your troubles melt like lemon drops.
You are quite the sailor and doing an incredible job on your own. You have turned your vessel into a home and it shows in your confidence and comfort doing what your doing. Thanks for another great video.
Ft. Pierce?! I go fishing there all the time for snook and I love the beautiful incoming tides. The start park is an amazing place and very serene in the evening. I see your channel has really taken off, congrats on your success and I wish you more future prosperity! Thank you for sharing the content and the work you've put in!
It is such a privilege to watch you take on these challenges and grow. Thank you for sharing this with us and allowing us along for the ride. And watching you bond with "The Nugget" on Delos is simply adorable. You are indeed a remarkable young woman!
I admire your spirit and how resilient you are! You are to be respected and recognized for what you have achieved. Thank you for sharing part of your life with us.
I went to University in Melbourne back in the 1980s. Drove over all those causeways between Cocoa Beach and Palm Bay. Pineda, Eau Gallie, and of course Melbourne. Thanks for the chance to reminisce.
Hi Taylor, it was wonderful seeing you again yesterday. As I said I would, I am subscribed to your channel now. I look forward to sharing your future adventures. Best of luck and happy times.
Leaving an anchorage at dawn will allow you to better achieve your goals. Do engine chores before hitting the rack. That said there are two modes of travel on the ICW. Delivery mode and passive cruising. Seems you have chosen the latter. No problem. Just know how this will effect your progress. Kudos for the effort. We all learn so much during a solo trip. Fair winds and following seas.
You definitevealy enjoy the serenity and quietness of the ICW better than the open ocean, as well as the not too busy sailing traffic of central Florida . Good show Taylor. rgs.
You are an adventurer. It takes a special person that can travel alone, go without meals and bathroom breaks and keep on wanting to travel on. Congrats on being that person.
I don't get these kind of comments. To travel alone is about as easy as it comes. Maybe it's more difficult for women because of the need to constantly talk. Congrats on being that person because she motors for a day alone..? Don't get me wrong, I like Taylor and think she's tougher than she appears. But going for some hours without eating motoring through a channel makes you special!? What in the world are you talking about?
I was just watching a few of the older Sailing Doodles videos with the labradoodles. It's a shame you're not traveling with Bobby these days Taylor. You guys make for a great vibe that everyone enjoys and you're both very different when you're together (in a good way). I hope you connect up again in the future. From one long time traveler to another. Connections like that don't come along every day.
New member after seeing you on Delos. I made the same trip and stops, solo. Brought back memories. 36’ sailboat, but no windlass. Not recommending that. Your comments on trying to sail ICW and being tied to the cockpit are spot on. I let myself get a little too distracted heading south just before Vero beach and hit a submerged object - hard. Spun me around. Not a keel friendly maneuver. I also loved your comment on Delos about difference between being crew and solo skipper.
Very proud of you Taylor. Try learning from sailing experts how to stay clear of bad weather as much as possible. Looking forward to your adventures!!!
Outstanding Taylor. You are evolving into becoming a more independent extraordinary YOU !! Keep on living your very best life while inspiring us all to do the same.
I like to follow along on google maps with you and other travelers as well, and found it interesting that one of the water features of Fort Pierce is "Taylor Creek".
Hey it was a pleasure to meet you in Annapolis yesterday. I love your drive & spirit. As a motorcycle industry photographer, I understand the job of being a one man band, it's tough. Keep at it. I ran into Bobby last night, had a great talk with him as well. Everyone we met from youtube was basically so genuinely friendly, great to see in today's world. Cheers.
We prepare a meal and snacks before hand and have it accessible in a cooler while underway so no need to leave the cockpit . And possibly a bucket for bathroom breaks
To me it looks peaceful, to the solo sailer, not so much until you’ve reached your destination. Great video of your journey, definitely looking forward to more!
Fabulous, intuitive and creative video work, notwithstanding your excellent seamanship! Thanks for sharing your experiences, sans the usual "drama" of other channels.
Glad you touched on the difficulties of sailing the ICW. I've been on the ICW in Texas with a Hobie TI and always wondered how difficult it would be with a full sized sailboat and dealing with head winds, the channel, barges, and other vessels skippered by knuckleheads.
Taylor, hadn't seen anything from you in quite some time. I hope you're doing well and in good health. I know the logistics of sailing life can be challenging. But I believe in you and have always enjoyed your work. Looking forward to whatever you have in store, when you're ready.
Hi Taylor, As for being alone well maybe physically but the way I see it you have me and 179,000 other people with you along the way! I wish I knew you were stopping in Ft Peirce there is a restaurant called Simonsons on the wharf right on the north jetty that is amazing I loved eating there when ever i was in town. As always Fantastic video and looking forward to your next! Stay safe
Lived in Ft Pierce and Hutchinson Island for years. Best spot is Port Salerno and the Manatee Pocket small but very nice. There is a great sailmaker there. My daughter worked in that bar you were talking about.
You are never truly alone Taylor…………and when you are……..you’re in great company ! 😃🥰 I agree……many power boaters do NOT know how to behave. Owners of sailboats tend to be more educated and experienced . Many people that own small powerboats have no clue about who has right of way and who is give way vessel……..and don’t know rules exist.
Nicely done Taylor Make some food before setting off , I’d be starving with no lunch Well done getting a sail up in that narrow channel You are doing amazing ❤️🙏🏴🥂
Hey Taylor. Fellow Canadian here. Stumbled on your videos cruising TH-cam. You are an amazing woman. So brave to be doing what you are doing. What a life you are living. Peanut butter and Jelous 😉
Love to see a woman that knows the purpose of a dipstick! You set a great example that women can be as mechanically inclined as any man. Keep up the great work and stay safe!!!
Hope you are back soon on youtube. You inspire me at age 72 soon. I hope to get another sailboat soon. I sold my Hunter Legend 35 about 2 years before Hurricane Michael. It would have been destroyed. I couldn't keep the prop clean. In winter i hate cold water so the growth would be so bad it would take me two hours to clean the shaft and prop. I hear they have ultra sound now that will keep all the boat clean underneath. That gives me hope if it really works. I never had a spinnaker so don't know much about how to run one. Missed you since you left SV Delos.
You remind me of my daughter.
Strong. Independent. Fearless. Adventurous.
She’s forever 18.
Keep shining bright.
Thank you for being you.
There is something words cannot describe being on a boat, waking up and seeing the day coming to life. Then the sunsets as the day turns to night full of stars. :-)
Two doses of Taylor makes for a good Friday. Thanks for all you do. Have a good weekend. Peace.
You as well!✌🏼
Yesterday she was in Mexico and now on the ICW. What a fast boat. 😀
She also made a stop in Annapolis to help MJ Sailing. Videos are not posted in real time, Taylors are a few months behind real time.
That seems like such a special gift, to make your way under the power of the wind...no engine noise or vibrations, just the tug of a breeze to propel you. Safe travels southward Taylor.
im glad your enjoying your day out on the water

In my experience singlehanded sailing makes you a better sailor. You have to be in control of everything to succeed. Good luck and fair winds.
I admire your spirit and how resilient you are! You are to be respected and recognized for what you have achieved. Thank you for sharing part of your life with us.
Looks like a fun trip... thanks for taking us all along for the journey. Safe travels!
Quality and flow of this video was pretty awesome..well done.
2:33 That's funny. Used to Live in Palm Bay and would hike Turkey Creek quite a bit.
Great job on the edit.... your videos have a nice mellow vibe!.
I went to University in Melbourne back in the 1980s. Drove over all those causeways between Cocoa Beach and Palm Bay. Pineda, Eau Gallie, and of course Melbourne. Thanks for the chance to reminisce.
I grew up in the Melbourne area. So nice to see familiar areas on this vlog!
WOW, Captain, First Mate and Dishwasher all in one. Very groovy, very groovy indeed Taylor.
Good for you, Taylor!!! Awesome, that you're setting out on your own. Those were stunning scenes of the sunset/evening shots of Ft Pierce.
The quality of the views, music and sequencing is really enjoying. Keep up the great work!

Good for you Taylor, livin the dream. You rock girl.
Great you're back on the water
Wow! The ICU is also the Indian River! Vero Beach, Ft. Pierce is my old stomping ground! Great to see it with all its islands, etc.
You are an adventurer. It takes a special person that can travel alone, go without meals and bathroom breaks and keep on wanting to travel on. Congrats on being that person.

Any idea what happened to Taylor?
Follow her on patreon, it's more up to date
Many good times on the Flarida coast and the Keys. Maybe someday I'll get back there.
Great episode. Stay safe, been enjoying your fun with Delos.

Hi Taylor. I had you propped up on my stove as I cooked bacon & eggs. Thanks for joining me.
The Rotella is a great choice. I use it in everything I own. Car,truck and motorcycles.

Not happy Taylor, saw your title and I’m sooooo busy. Had to watch...... I’m glad I did, you take me out of reality for a small part of my day. 😊
Glad you touched on the difficulties of sailing the ICW. I've been on the ICW in Texas with a Hobie TI and always wondered how difficult it would be with a full sized sailboat and dealing with head winds, the channel, barges, and other vessels skippered by knuckleheads.

Well done getting a sail up in that narrow channel
You are doing amazing ❤️🙏🏴🥂
Always amazing, thank you for sharing your adventures⛵🌏🧭
You are the real deal! Independent, smart and very capable.
Funny to see all those houses with chimneys in Florida. In the Winter the low temp might get down to 55 ° Burrrrrr.
Hey Taylor. Fellow Canadian here. Stumbled on your videos cruising TH-cam.

A beautiful way of life.
I really like your old fashion windless, it reminds me of hauling up 150' of 3/8" anchor rode with the 35# CQR attached to the end for enjoyment...
Looking really cool! Good job!!!
