    Stop wasting time on a convicted criminal who stole billions of dollars from the Ratyats and enriched his families. Why must he be given special treatment just because he has millions to spend on lawyers. . What about those who steal to put food on the table for the families and sent to Jail? Should they be put on house arrest too? Does Malaysia has a special judicial system for the corrupted rich? Do those who fight for his house arrest believe Malaysia should have a special judicial system for the corrupted rich who stole from the Ratyats?

Many podcasts are conducted by Malays tend not tell the truth and playing dirty politics. Worst still playing the blame games against the govt and it's leaders. And so the Malay folks in the Kampong become more confused resulting in voting the stupid anti govt leaders.

One for the VVIP or have n one for the ordinary people or have not or poor. We are now trying to change the law to suit the situation of the country to suit the needs for someone or Vvip to be granted a house arrest just because he was a former PM n found guilty of his charges n granted a discount for his jail terms from 12 years to 6 years only. This is a blatant disregard to the rule of law. Might as well don't have the law n all guilty can walk free after all n demolish the prison n save the country in maintaining the rule of law😢😮😅

  • @willidevegt8831
    @willidevegt8831 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +44

    Sorry but I disagree with some of the things you say.
    Firstly it seams from some TH-cam videos that muster Najib has already vvip level in jail where he already is given permission to use mobile phone Internet and computer.
    Which other inmates are granted this?
    30 feet around his house and once a week he is being permitted to have guest does that mean every once in a week he can have a bbq party in his home garden?
    And what about some one want to visit him the next day who is going to stop that.
    BUT most importantly you already mentioned there is no law in Malaysia that grant house arrest so does the law have to be changed for probably the one who stole the largest sum of money in history? Is it morally even fair of mister Najib to adk for all these privileges after what he has done. Even until today he keep on saying he has not done anything wrong so he is not even sorry for what he has done according to his confliction in court. Is it not that in some countries politicians where these kind of crimes done by politicians they can get life in prison or even death penalty? Should mister Najib than not be very lucky getting ONLY 6 years in jail?
    And an other thing should the law not be equal for every person in Malaysia? So if he is granted house arrest how about people who do a minor crime will they from now on get a slap on the wrist and being told go home but don't do it again?
    In my humble opinion if some one who comited such a huge crime and basically don't get any punishment that will destroy Malaysia justice system. According to his court cases he stole billions and basically no punishment than some one who steels "only" 1 million how is justice going to serve him?
    And let's also not forget how other countries will see Malaysia countries that are involved in these crimes? Will Malaysia not be the clown of the world in there eyes? US helped to get some of the stolen money back well they as well might think to keep it because of it.
    An other thing is as you mentioned there is no law in Malaysia that grants house arrest so even if you change the law now it would not be applicable to mister Najib because he is convicted already

      @Saints-Forever 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      I totally in agreement with all your points. The only dilemma this government is current facing is UMNO factions that can’t seem to distance themselves from the corrupt and convicted Najib just because they are still relying on some faction of his supporters for votes and staying relevant as a dying party. The only way for Najib to be politically alive is to keep singing the ‘I am not guilty’, ‘I didn’t have a fair trial’ and ‘I am being punished politically’ songs which his supporters swallowed wholeheartedly. PMX is hoping that buying time and efforts in his leadership in government would be enough to get a clear mandate from the rakyat without having to rely on unity from other not so friendly (and corrupt) political parties such as Umno/Gps/Grs etc. Pas/Bersatu clearly sees this and kept trying to disrupt PMX endeavours as they kept losing supports by the day to the Harapan’s parties. It is a delicate political chessboard game PMX is facing but one that he will only win if the Malaysia and its rakyat’s economic situation improves noticeably which is a big ask given the huge debts servicing and fundamental (weak education & corrupt public services) damages that he inherited.

    Whatever the legal issues, how can a person facing so many court cases be even considered for a pardon from the Agung? Shouldn't he first face all the charges and the sentences meted to him by the justice system, and then apply for pardon? Pardon should be granted only once. Is Najib hoping for a DNAA for the rest of the charges?

      I know bcos my son n his friends were upset at that. And he did a stupid thing again meddling with the universities' s metriculasi n Asasi programs...by centralizing it.....thus making it harder to get into university programs of your choice......bcos metriculating at the university that offers the programs you want...gives u advantage into obtaining your desired choice of your future career

    Prof, nobody is talking about a serious issue in this Addendem case. This is about COnflict of Interests. One question is why the Pardon Board only met towards the very end of the previous Agong's reign. I speculate that the Agong was very hesitant and even reluctant to chair this meeting. This is because Najib is very close to him personally and also in relation to the Pahang Sultanate. If the Agong chair the meeting, would it be possible for him to act in a neutral manner because of their relationship! We have seen how Najib and Rosmah had protested and got numerous judges removed because of Conflict of Interests. I believe the Agong is fully aware of this. It was clear that the Agong was being pressured by many quarters. The rumour that the Addendem was not signed is one vital sign of this. For all we know the Addendem was written by someone else.

So if the royal addendum to be valid should be sent back to the Palace to have it endorsed with the royal seal, instead of putting it in cold storage until the Next King sits on the throne. We can use this to self-reflect on the appropriate action that should be taken by the government to maintain a transparent administration.

    For me, 2 questions I hope the court or anybody can help to clear the air:

    Many difficulties have recently been faced by the nation's political situation, particularly following Umno's fall because it controlled politics. It has, in fact, led to a number of legal issues that have not yet been clearly interpreted by the courts since the country's Constitution was written, particularly those that supersede the authority of the Institution of Monarchs.
    Everyone is aware, meanwhile, that Malaysia operates as a parliamentary democracy with a constitutional monarchy, with His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (YDPA) serving as the head of state. what the phrase "Constitutional Monarchy" generally means as the foundation for our comprehension of the nation's legal system? A constitutional monarchy is one in which the laws and provisions of the Constitution are the governing king's authority.
    It is not the same as the idea of Absolute Monarchy that existed in this nation before to the introduction of British laws. To honour the King's role as Head of State, however, many of the Absolute Powers that were once exercised have been transformed into King-only Prerogative Power.
    His Majesty has been given a suitable advisory council to help him execute this prerogative power and make sure that all he does is in compliance with the law and the Constitution. His Majesty can no longer be held accountable because this Advisory Board will assume responsibility for any errors made in the use of His Majesty's Prerogative Power.
    It differs from "Absolute Power" in that His Majesty makes all of his decisions on his own initiative and without the assistance of an advisory body. Indeed, any error can no longer be attributed to the advisory council; rather, His Majesty himself is held accountable. Therefore, all Absolute Powers have been transformed into Prerogative Powers, which need an advisory body to assume responsibility in the case that His Majesty's Prerogative Powers are exercised incorrectly, in order to shield His Majesty from blame.
    The sole "Absolute Power" that remains for His Majesty, however, is the ability to select the "Head of Government" or Prime Minister at His Majesty's own discretion, particularly in cases where the representatives chosen by the people do not show unequivocal support.
