The thing that made the fight hard for me was the fact that either my game or controller was messed up so whenever he threw the broken parts I'd try to enter blade mode but then itd instantly deactivate killing me instantly.

Finding these old videos is interesting when you're at the same part of a game, it's oddly comforting, seeing what once was and wonder what it will be. Maybe one day we'll have an MGR: Resurgeance and this game will blow up again.
I remember playing through this game and not realizing I had healing items until after beating Armstrong. It made for the most satisfying final boss I faced. Each loss only made me more determined to finally beat him.
Armstrong is such a difficulty spike for casual players, I remember I had a really hard time with this guy. It's kinda nice to see someone owning him so hard.
Oh Armstrong was a straight up roadblock for me for sometime. Really made me realize that I was brute forcing a lot of the fights up til then and got me to work on counters and quick timing more

It's not too easy to find MGR boss footage with great gameplay. Most get flung around a lot. You not only managed to avoid all damage but also tried to maximize your performance. This video was just good, nothing to add.

Ah yes. 6 years later and this entire game has a resurgence no one could have expected. Granted, the game deserves it, but it's still kind of wild. Another year and this whole game has become so synonymous with meme culture it's difficult to turn a corner without hearing It Has To Be This Way or The Only Thing I Know For Real. And I couldn't be any more ecstatic to for it.
I beat this game without upgrading my sword once. I didn't know that was a thing until I got my achievement for it. If you need a real challenge and hate yourself then go for it.
