(4K) The Go To Place - Planespotting at Chicago O'Hare International Airport

Some nice spotting at O'Hare Airport from two separate days. The first evening I went out to catch the Turkish Bio Fuel livery for the first time which turned out nice. Later that week, I did some afternoon overhead arrivals on runway 28C. Cargolux performed a go around since he was too close to the Cathay A350 that was in front of him. If you listen carefully in the last Royal Jordanian clip, you can even hear thunder.

Definitely a “must spot at” airport. I recommend summertime when we get the most variety and best weather. During the fall is nice too in terms of lighting and cargo traffic.

A gravel area off of Irving Park Road and South Access Road in Bensenville. Just follow the orange cones till you get to a bend with a nice view.
