    I just received the drop point version of this knife with the 'fuel slick', handle coloring. This a an excellent folder, Smooth action and great lockup.
    The owners of the company, Chapman lake knives, are great people. I ordered a pre-made, they had a few tanto bladed versions listed that were ready to go. Well, the system messed up and let me order a knife that was already sold. Upon realizing the system glitch, they didn't tell me to pick another pre-made. They said "we'll make you another one just like it and expedite the order", though they had a waiting list. I also asked if I could change to a drop point, and they make the knife to order with no questions asked. I got it in about a week.
    I highly recommend these guys. I hope they stay around, all these are made to order, and have excellent fit and finish with high tolerances. Soon as you pick the knife up and flip it open, you can feel the quality in the knife.

      @@stratobungle Little insider history - it was originally designed with the drop point blade. We changed to Tanto just before the first production run because we felt the copious curves of the handle might be better balanced out with the straight edges of a tanto. Consensus here seems to be we had it right the first time, and we proudly offer both options. I personally favor the drop point quite a bit myself, and I designed both.

    Really liking those handles that color is so vibrantly blue but not in a cheap way. Yeah I'm really liking that color and the knife definitely seems like a quality small production custom made knife. Only complaint so far is the blade finish i would have preferred a hand rubbed or tumbled finish with a slight mirror finish, even still the polishing work on the satin tanto isn't to bad at all and I def agree with mc about the blade it needs more size or girth to it, something.

  • @GenericAssUsername
    @GenericAssUsername ปีที่แล้ว +3

    i'm personally quite a fan of the profile, and a nice large beautifully anodized Ti button lock with an unconventional but not quite bizarre handle shape really appeals to me. i don't have any qualms other than that the tanto with its straight lines is an odd blade shape for the curvy contours of the handle, but then i'm not the hugest fan of tanto blades in general. still if i had the $400 i would spring on it.

      Thanks so much! I very intentionally designed this without really looking at much of what is out there. Just wanted to design something that looked good to me. All this feedback is very helpful as a designer!
