What a massive project. And is wonderful to see such craftsmanship. This yacht will look totally stunning when finished. Thanks James for a really interesting series. I’m learning so much.
This shows just the lvl of detail that goes into a refit. Thank you for my education. It's a fantastic opportunity to see this level of detail. I would imagine that you could do just about anything including changing the number of berths.
Fascinating video James. Just makes you appreciate what is 'behind the scenes' on of these yachts! I daren't even ask how much all of this work is going to cost! Way more than the current market value of my house no doubt....Keep up the good work, cheers from a (very) windy Otford, Kent.
I wonder the total costs of this massive project?! To buy a new or second-hand yatch and opt to refit / refurbish according to your taste 🤔 thanks for endlessly keep us on the loop James 👌🏾
I like to see different people give their views on the same boat when it’s finished will you be doing a tour of it and also Nick from alcoholics as I would like to see both different opinions of this boat
Amazing job 😳 Very interesting to see how deep a refit can go. I’m definitely sure that the result will be amazing. But... for how much and how long ? Very nice, James. Looking forward for the next one 👌
and this is why large yachts are relatively cheap to buy. its not the purchase price thats important, its the upkeep. i am curious to know what this refit will cost considering its a £3-£4 million yacht on the used market. Great vids in this series. thanks for the content.
Thanks, very interesting and informative! Just wondering about the costs involved for such a massive refit - is this really more cost effective than just selling the boat and ordering a new one, and thereby being able to spec the new exactly as you want, all systems brand new etc?
Even with a large refit such as this, the overall cost will be significantly lower than what a new build would cost today, but it's all about finding the right starting point, and having vision (and a yard that is capable of matching the budget to the desired end result)!
Some yacht owners refit every couple of seasons, others keep them original for 20+ years. It all comes down to personal tastes/owner budget/evolution of tech/mechanical reliability etc.
Cracking video James.......just change the teak decking she said, couple of hours job at most!!!! That's when my hair started to fall out!!!
A fantastic video showing further work done on this yacht. Getting to see the yacht and all of the work being done was excellent. 👏👏👏

Thank you so much for making this series. I love seeing production of yachts. I work for a naval shipyard here in the U.S. in Mississippi.
Glad you like them!
James, another great insight into a major re-fit. I perish to think of the cost involved but it’s obviously going to be worth it in the long run.

Great video James. I would just get a new one.
Such a great series, I'm really interested in the progress. Thank you James - a great tour as usual!
Fantastic update James - keep ‘em coming
Great series and cannot wait until the next instalment.
Fantastic series James and looking forward to following the progress, thanks.

"The guys are on a quick tea break..." LOL
What a fabulous education. Thank you!!!

Incredible to see this, hats off to the workforce, I've done some projects in my time but this is another level, awesome. 👍
Amazing to see the work and craftsmanship that goes into a gorgeous sunseeker. Cheers James
It really is!
Really fascinating, looking forward to Part 4 😁
This is quite interesting. Thanks.
Great video james look forward to seeing the next one 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it
Yet another great video, the ‘partnership’ between sunseeker and the the 3rd party interiors company could be an interesting one.
Interesting as usual James. You wonder with all the work going on what the difference would have been between a new build and this
Amazing job 😳

Why refit? It's like a new yacht! Amazing!

if you have to ask can you afford it

@richtea78 My point was from the owners’ perspective.I am sure Sunseeker makes money either way :)
Interesting refit, wharton is the estimated cost of these works?
Does it make economic sense to buy an older yacht and refit it, compared with buying a new one that is already fully up to date?
Even with a large refit such as this, the overall cost will be significantly lower than what a new build would cost today, but it's all about finding the right starting point, and having vision (and a yard that is capable of matching the budget to the desired end result)!
How long does an aggressive refit like this typically take to complete? And how often would they usually be undertaken?
If an engine room has no engines can you still hear it?
How often would a major refit like that need to take place?

James any further update on this refit
Coming very soon!
Part 4?

At what point does this become uneconomical, and you just buy new I wonder?
