  • Not a vlog, no intrusive faces or talking, pure Japan only.
Some people asked to walk in Saitama and so I went to Omiya station. Walked through shopping district, through residential area to Hikawa shrine, then to neighbor Omiya Daini park.
    Map www.google.com...
    Time 03/07 15:45
    Filmed in UltraHD 4K 60p with Lumix GH5 camera, 8-18 f2.8-4 lens, Beholder EC1 stabilizer and Audio-Technica AT9946CM mic.
Feel free to correct my English or suggest a video to film.

Thank you for your video. I spent last year doing an exchange in higashi omiya and I've never been happiest in my entire life. This takes me back, since I've been in those areas plenty of times. I've shed a few tears watching this video and one other of you walking around at night in the rain somewhere in chiba's suburbs, since it made me remember all the times I had to take the last train coming back from a friend's house, since my dormitory would not allow spending the night outside without previous notice, which meant I would have to take the last train, but when I got back to my station there would be no more buses running and I would just take the long way home, enjoying the dim street lights and their reflections on the rainy puddles on the floor. Your videos are awesome.

The sounds of people and life are reassuring in these times. Thank goodness you're still doing these so people can go outside vicariously through your walks. You are performing a real psychological service for people, so that we may feel some form of normality, albeit simulated. Thanks as always, get lots of miso soup and stay healthy :). Your steady cam work is amazing as always! At 3:10, you have a mystic affinity with cats, you always find a cool bobtail to film. The facemasks really aren't a big fashion accessory to the normally fashionable people of Tokyo.

A better way to go from the main Omiya Park to Omiya park II is to walk across the street bridge next to the cycle racing track, you avoid the traffic and it has some nice trees along the way. During the cherry blossom season, Omiya park II has a very nice row of trees just next to the park, hopefully, you can visit again when they are blooming.

Kevin Caldwell This is quiet compared to being in Tokyo or any big cities where there’s more people and traffic noise. I live in central California, two hours north of Los Angeles, my city is over 380,000 and not a loud noisy city, like a quiet suburb outside of a big city. I grew up around L.A., I don’t miss the noise or the terrible traffic but I still go for a visit since my mom still lives there. I use to know someone who lived in Hamilton, Ontario, I visited her years ago and I had so much fun. I’ve also love a Toronto, and my husband and I went to Vancouver, and Victoria, just amazing places! 😁
