As a former o.r. nurse, can confirm.

As a Medical Purchasing buyer for a major hospital, I also confirm this is true.

I’m glad I’m not the only one this happens to. depends on the staff, but usually we are the last person they think about.

Ok so we should always call ahead for any changes in schedule or get access to the digital schedule board. Or if the dr is comfortable texting you then get him to include you on the group texts.

Or people should consider other human beings and keep their appointments. What would that doctor do if you showed up early? I know he’s the customer but common courtesy is a thing!

rep is the last one to find anything. out but first one to get yelled at when things arent right in the room. youd think with that sort of responsibility in the room, youd be like #2 on the list of people to notify... i fucking hate this job. spine sucks

Don’t know how I got to this video. Device and diagnostics …. Sold for 20 years. Not the same post pandemic. If my daughter said she wanted to do this I’d tell her no way. Find something else. There is a problem in this industry and it’s horribly cut throat. Doesn’t matter how pretty you are or who you know, it’s a revolving door of shit. The only way to really make money is 1099 and have simple products that can be bought low and sold high over and over and over. The ER is just a place to kiss a doctors ass so he picks you over others. It’s gross. It’s something in this business you will have to do. After 20 years of it I got exhausted from it and now work for myself selling and consulting diagnostics that don’t require any in office anything. All zoom and teams if necessary.
