Love the now & then still photos, the history is always interesting, so much has been lost, especially the beauty of buildings, industry and the simplicity of life. I think I would rather have lived in the 1800's when buildings were magnificent, people dressed immaculately and life and living so much more free and void of today's communal communist inspired hatred. Thank you. Yes indeed the 1800's must have been a fantastic time. It seems most of our iconic buildings date of construction are all listed from that timeline. It's sad to see industry the might of which once was now fall silent too. Greeting from Northern Ireland.
