The videos are extremely helpful. Never before has this type of Buckdancing and the other form been broken down into slow motion so people can learn. All this is relatively new, coming out at the present moment. It is learnable and the will is there. I wish myself luck in this endeavor.

I'll probably need one of those step tap board platforms I can sprinkle some salt on. I need time I'm to gather up what I will be wearing. But I live alone on 165 acres of beautiful South Texas Brush Country so have many choices available on which background to use for filming, and I did think I heard you could enter the contest/competition virtually. But I'm just starting and realized I have the best teacher.
I have a real long extension cord and outdoor outlets, so I can plug in my acoustic guitar amplifier where the country background looks the prettiest. I already have lots of clothing to wear, really everything needed. Its just my performing skills right now are in extremely poor, but I can learn. The videos are so helpful; they break it down into slow motion, something never before seen.

What are the best starter shoes ? I have done clogging for years but I now have scoliosis which affects my balance , but I so enjoy dancing and this is one I don’t need a partner for. I am 91 years of age but I’m still in. good health so I m not stooping yet. So enjoyed your videos and I will be trying those steps which are guide similar to clogging. Thank you very much. ❤❤😊😊. Double step. I see it now
On double, that uses the front part.
But on step part, that is when the heel part comes into play. I just couldn't figure it out. Now, after being taught, I see right before taking the full weight to go to the other, that's when the heel is played. On double step, the heel does not kick play, but when the shift change is made, that's when the heel taps in. Oh, now I see. All I need now is to get myself a pair of stepdance boots. I like this a lot.

I alrady have an ample wardrobe, have everything needed really. Its just that being new to this, my performing skills in this arena are extremely poor. But I can learn. At this point how long it will take to get it all together is completely unknown.

Now, already getting faster and getting it down. I got it: Make up the skit wanting to do, learn a few accompanying tunes on the acoustic guitar with amplifier, find the good costume that has best chance to help win, get it all down to a T, then enter the competition, and hopefully win the national championship. It's early now and may take some time before ready. I ordered two guitar sets, one to learn on and the brand new one for the competition. Step goes along with the guitar beat.

I can invent several skits and present them all to give an overall idea. I kind of have an idea what I'm going to wear and I can envision it all coming together, but the road ahead will be long before final step Buckdancing video can be presented to the judge
What kind of soles are on your shoes and what brand of shoes. Thank you so much for your simple lessons. I am 80 yrs old but would like to do this on the simplest of levels if I can get the right shoes. Don’t want taps. I am told my great grandfather used to buck dance‼️😊

Now, the mind knows how to do it finally. As a pure beginner though, when you start to try it, your body says what is this? What are you trying to do? This is new. All you have been doing is walking around and doing the necessary. I have very strong legs, but weak in the area of double stepping; therefore, the muscles that be being used need to be developed, like which muscles will be emphasized, where the proper reflexes need to be and when. This is going to take enough practice so that the legs and body can know what is need and where. With practice the body can be trained, but right now leg and involved muscles are saying we can do it, but it is new to us. Practice more so we know better who is needed where and when. Some muscles weak now can be strengthened and the others will know who to let where while the double step ones do their thing, because right now, although I have very strong legs, the double step muscles are there but very weak.
