Hi I was on your live, thanks for talking with me. I had a curiosity question, what made you go into crocheting, what got you started? I'm inspired by you! Does it hurt your fingers to crochet too much and if so what do you do for it? I know it does with me when I do too much, both index fingers! I started when my 13 year old was about 3 1/2 and I wanted to make her a hat and then I became obsessed! Anyways thanks for all you do and I hope you comment back!
Hi, I learned when I was 10 years old. I do have arthritis in my left hand so I can only crochet with yarns that are 4 weight or bigger, a few 3 weights and I can't use a hook smaller than a 5.00mm anymore. That's nice to say that I inspire you!! Thank you, that's all I really want to do is inspire, teach about yarn and crochet, giveback to my community, and make people smile. :)

Hey I don't know if it'll help you or maybe any beginners perhaps that are looking through comments, but figured I'd share.
I've been crocheting since I was a kid and I'm in my early thirties now but have issues with carpal tunnel and junk like that... What can help me sometimes if my fingers or hands start hurting, my mom told me to check and make sure I'm not crocheting too tight, if that makes sense. I have a bad habit of gripping my yarn like it's going to run away and making my stitches almost too tight at times, so now I try to check myself now and then and just remind myself to loosen up and relax. Also consistent breaks!
This probably won't help much, I guess it probably depends on why your fingers and hands are hurting and if there's underlying issues, but I didn't realize I did it at all til my mom pointed it out. If nothing else it can certainly help to lessen any pain from repetitive motions so you're able to do more!
@@CellarDoorWhispers I totally agree with you 😃 I’ve learned to relax my arthritic fingers, too! I started crocheting at 5 years old and I’m now 60, so I have lots of wear and tear on these old hands. Haha
