They won't right now but they might eventually. It's not that big of a deal since most of the standard 5 star weapons aren't that good anyways, or at least not that much better than some 4 star weapons

Skyward Spine being a side-grade of The Catch still means it's pretty decent. Sure everyone have The Catch, but we can only have 1 of it, and i can say there are more than 1 chara that want it, commonly mentioned Raiden and Xiangling. Thus idt a 2nd Catch is a bad deal.
That’s my issue - If someone’s running rational who is using catch if you don’t have a five star polearm? Right now I’m using catch on raiden and fav on xiangling and it’s working out fine, but I’d prefer to have two copies of the catch haha
People are delusional if they think the 5 star weapon shop is gonna use starglitter instead of genesis crystals, hoyo will do anything in their power to prevent f2p players to have nice things.

Don't understand why people shit on Skyward Spine. It is as good or better than The Catch - which everyone loves. You get The Catch for free? BUT you can only have ONE of The Catch and many characters like to use it. I use both all the time and it is just about the best thing you can put on Shenhe. Of course, if you have other good 5-star polearms, you don't need it much - which he said for the high-ranked weapons on his list, so that shouldn't count against it.
I dont know what youre taliking about since spine its literaly 5% worse than the catch, a free weapon that also requires less resources to level up since it is a 4 star (on xiangling). on Raiden, it's 1% better than the catch. And shenhe, well you can use it, but why pass up her BiS, Fav. it helps a lot in the teams shes played in like Wrio (melt) and ayaka, and is a great option for the fact that it is a high base atk 4 star. Spine just has no niche since its outshined by the catch and Fav because its passive is useless, and its oomph as a 5 star weapon doesn't make up for it. Maybe one day people will use it, but today is not that day.
Got my first fav lance in 3.4 as a 1.0 starter. Also, have often used raiden and xl at the same time in an abyss. Spine would be such a good pull for me from standard.
@@THESocialJusticeWarrior the only characters who want catch is xiangling and Raiden, and Raidens most used teams now are HB. So it's usually just xiangling now. I don't know who else uses the catch other than xiangling.
Sure buy a 5 star sword for who knows how much starglitter just to have a weapon that is a little bit better on Bennett on than Sapwood Blade you can craft for free.
I think they were just parroting Jstern, who said that he thinks Bennett is niche now (which is a crazy take). His reasoning being, you only use Bennett with a 2nd Pyro character, granted this was pre-Navia.

I'd say the biggest sell for Skyward spine is actually Shenhe. It's still the highest base atk for polearm and Shenhe really want ER too. But Shenhe is pretty niche. More people have and use raiden for sure but if you're f2p and lack weapons (just starting etc.) you can just build EM raiden as its much easier and enables a lot of teams. So the value of Skyward Spine overall isn't that high.

They are all bait and not worth giving up starglitter that can become characters or non terrible weapons. The shop is largely bait as a whole because even constellations for 4*s will eventually come to your account by playing long enough, the only exception are the standard 4*s Kaeya, Lisa, Amber if you really like them.
I hate when he does character based weapon quality. It doesnt feel right for an experienced TC to do that. especially for purchasable weapons and comparisons to other options. for example. Aquila is BiS for 1-2 characters, while a weapon like JWS or Lost Prayer are great options on a large variety of characters. I as a somewhat experience F2P metaslave, believe that a 20% upgrade on 6 characters is better than a 30% upgrade on just one. Especially when I have a limited amount of currency and no other way to secure good upgrades for my characters. I would remake the list with just the basic S A B C D tiers and have PJW and Harp in S, Skyward blade, WGS and Lost prayer in A, Aquila, Skyward atlas. skyward spine in B Amos in C and Skyward Pride in D. This is because the spear and bow options are much larger universal upgrades than Aquila as it is only a marginal and unimportant upgrade to only one character, aswell as 5 star bow and spear options can often help characters get to their stat breakpoints while aquila only gives some healing and a slightly bigger atk buff. allot to read through but this has happened twice recently with aquila bias and it seems wrong to me. Would love if you would care to prove me wrong though. (hell the only reason I wouldnt put Aquila in the lowest tier is strictly because of bennett) (I wonder if sometimes in ur lists you forget that just because most other 5 star options are better. they arent always as accessible)
Zajef describes outgrowing XQ as “whaling but honestly there’s a reasonable level for f2P’s to either work towards Furina Yelan comps or simply have them earlier. I know a guy with Furina XQ Yelan all c0. I think Zajef is coping a little bit about WHEN you outgrow XQ. It can happen a lot earlier.
Man's really went ahead and rated Xiao's BiS and very strong options for Raiden hyper, Hu Tao as 'whatever characters' 💀(i think he forgot that Raiden can be played non-hyperbloom 💀💀) Also I'm pretty sure that Harp R1 always deals more damage for Fischl than Stringless R5 in both regular and aggravate teams. It's not by a much, but it's still better, and it provides harder to get crit stats.
More than 2 years of playing, R3 PJWS, and still not a single 5* catalyst (from Standard). I hope they implement this and I REALLY hope they include Hunter’s Path and Beacon 🙈
Been trying to make a really maxed Bennett for a while now and I just don't see the argument for aquila over skyward considering how much ER he really needs. It's literally his most important stat considering that base attack isn't really a true stat. Bennett really wants like 230-270 ER and if you can get enough from weapon and substats then you can also run noblesse which ought to be a larger buff than 70 extra base attack i'd think having not done the math
agree, skyward blade is incredibly comfortable with the ER stat while having a high base. i have aquila yet i never use it on bennett because of how much energy i'd be missing out on- three taps on his skill and his burst is full w/ skyward.

@@bluuchandesu can't deny the high atk stat tho, I use it since it's my only 5 star sword. ER definitely does feel a bit lacking but the buff more than makes up for it. I just don't think it's worth going out of your way to buy, at least it made sense in the previous guide to use if you had, but here it's about what's worth buying, and nobody's willingly buying Aquila 😭
@@bluuchandesu I used to use Aquila back in the day and it made sense when I only used Bennett in International, because he still recharged before XL. Since I got a Skyward and reluctantly leveled it, I haven't looked back though. In my eyes a slightly higher attack buff can't make up for smooth rotations without bothering to spend time on Bennett.
Harp is like 12-15% better in a lot of comps then Stringless R5 for Fischl if you are using Golden Troupe and even greater if Furina is there as well, its the nerdy type of math thing im surprised he forgot, not completely specific to harp just any of the 5* crit bows gained back their value with GT specifically, but Harp would be really easy way to get into this next tier damage if we could somehow purchase 5* weapons. 2pc 2pc its less a difference, where Stringless shines, but in the absolute best situation the difference is pretty huge, Stringless doesn't scale that well with GT, or worst case scenario would scale horribly in anything with Furina+GT, for instance Koko Taser or Neuve where you might want to use her.
It wouldnt be free. Hoyo is actually doing the playerbase a favor by not putting those bad weapons on the shop as it would not be worth the pulls to get them. I think the HSR lightcones cost 35 pulls worth of starglitter, thats more than halfway to a good weapon on the banner or a character
@@luminous3558 In Star Rail they are the equivalent of 30 wishes. For 30, I think that would be pretty reasonable to buy generally good stuff like Harp or Skyward Blade, especially for F2P that wouldn't normally touch weapon banner. The problem is that the Star Rail weapons are way more niche, so I think that's why their economy is balanced around it. They are meant for refines, not filling gaps. Instead, you get 5-star shop weapons like Clara's (I just got a 2nd one from standard 💀), which is completely useless on any other destruction character.
If you use Raiden in Bennet less teams the Skyward value ump up a lot. Like in a Raiden/Furina/Yelan/Jean or a Raiden/Chevi/Kujou/Xiangling team. The higher base attak scale better in the first team because you don't have attack buffs and it is scale better in the second team with Chevi's buff and with Noblesse as well. Otherwise Skyward can be good on Shenhe if you have enough energy, it is pretty much a mddle ground between Favonius and Calamity. But otherwise true, it is one of the least valuble in the bunch.

@@nonamepasserbya6658 1. I play Raiden Bennet-less in Chevi teams and as you already said in dendro teams, like aggravate or quicken. + A lot of people do with Furina-Yelan-Jean core. It is a nice team, though can't use it because I don't have Jean. 2. Catch is good. Everyone should get it if for nothing else for Xiangling. My point was thet if you use her without Bennet the Catch became much worse, though still a good weapen. (And as I established in the first point Raiden is played Bennet-less, especially nowadays. We have options, yey.) 3. High refinment is not needed for Shenhe at all, you don't really useing the passive with her, it is a high base attack and ER% stat stick. Like Skyward Blade for Bennet. In the case of Xiangling, because you use her mostly with Bennet the Catch and Spine does'nt really differ, though if you use her outside of Bennet teams it still should be better then Catch, though in thet case I would rather use Favonius anyway. Bonus: I forgot to mention but it is a very nice weaepn on Rosaria as well, because if you use her in freez the higher base attack is valuble and if you use her in melt you propably will use Xiangling as well so the Catch already used. It is not amazing or anything but a nice stat stick.

Bennet is in Shop 2: If you use Xiangling without Bennett and DMG spear then might as well use Thoma...? 3: Rosaria f2p build wants PJWS (also tradable if leak is true) or Fav, Bonus: Crit Rate on Spine passive can help others mald a bit less on Crit subs so yes it is great at high refinements for Xiangling. Rosa don't need it since Cyro has decent amount of Crit (assuming it's tradeable for F2P and not a PS5 exclusive again)

I haven’t gotten a single catalyst billet in something like six whole months. Zajef is truly cooking with those craftables, getting them to R5 is a bigger accomplishment than pulling a standard five star.

I mean the issue is wolf isn’t better than 4 star options a lot of times, and even if it is it’s marginal. Mailed flower is probably better on Diluc. The recent event Claymore won’t be much different for Navia, etc. It’s probably nice for Beidou lacking serpent spine or the burst damage buffing claymore that’s only on weapon banners, but not much better.
@@twigz3214Well if you don't have the event claymore when you get Navia in the future, you'll need a decent claymore and this would be the best f2p option. I have both Verdict and the melusine sword so I probably wouldn't use it on anyone (can't foresee a situation where I would use so many claymore characters that wouldn't be able to just use those weapons), but future players may not want to test their luck if Verdict is paired with a less universally good weapon next time it gets featured, or pay for BP. It's definitely a reasonable option
@@CryomancerMK1 I do have it and it has been unused for over a year. Most accounts that have it won't use it. R1 Serpent spine is better, Mailed flower is better for vape, and various other 4 star options are also better. The new event Claymore is also more or less the same value in all situations, with it being so slightly behind it won't often matter at all.
I mean, a the catch sidegrade is pretty good when you want to run both raiden and xiangling. and I mean... raiden has very popular team comps with xiangling, not to mention you might wanna just run them on other sides. so in that regard, I'd say skyward spine is a bit better than he gives it credit for.
We just had a massively spread incorrect leak with the 4* skin selection, i don't think anyone should put much stake in any leaks rn that are not character data from betas.
It wasn't incorrect though, it actually exists. People just made wrong assumption about method to obtain it, which anyone with half a functioning brain and knowledge of past Mihoyo behavior with skins would immediately be able to dismiss as fanciful thinking.

With regards to the first section of the video, I never look at Questionable leaks, ever. They range from vague to absolutely debunked a few days later. Just stick to the Reliable tag and view them as they come before they get DMCA struck
Putting Wolfs Gravestone in Cope is crazy. That needs to be near the top. Dare i say it's the best, most flexable 5 star option. (For standard weapons) I also can't condon Aquila being at the top considering Bennet is really the only one who WANTS to use it. But is ultimately an inferior option to Skyward Blade because of its very useful ER substat, as opposed to physical damage. Rest of the list is fair.
WGS is pretty cope. It is outdone by all three crit stat, limited, five star claymores. For shielded characters, Unforged is better. It has some use for off-field support types, but those are generally better off with the likes of a Fav. Heck, for most teams, the Fontaine crafted claymore at high refines is better than a low refine WGS, in regards to attack for a damage dealer. Don't get me wrong, there are far worse standard five star weapons. It is overall, an okay weapon, not a bad one to use. But is it worth spending currency to get? No.
@Axterix13 Bro really just said use Unforged or Favonus Greatsword instead of WGS. XD Let me break it down for you. Unforged hasn't shown its face for about 630~ days. We're probably never going to see Beacon again, but I would LOVE to br wrong about that. Verdict is good, but a little Niche, and requires a geo unit in the party to make full use. So that leaves us with Stonethresher, which is solid with its 88% CD alone, but passive is going to be useless on all but Itto and Noelle. So, on any character who's best in slots aren't these customize 5 star weapons, WGS is going to be their most competitive option. I maintain, that WGS is one of the best standard weapons period.
@@Blackoutdmc The issue with WGS is also the characters that can utilize it though compared to other 4 star options (and also Serpent Spine for BP buyers). 5 star claymores are all not that great because of SS, to be fair. Diluc with Xianyun will be preferring Rainslasher, same with Ga Ming. Itto and Noelle would rather use Whiteblind. For Navia, WGS is barely better than Melusine when ER is normalized (although this is probably its best use case). A lot of underwhelming claymore characters (Chongyun, Xinyan, Dori, etc.,) aren't really that relevant. Eula is fine with WGS but it's similar to Pride (a bit worse possibly), and gets outdamaged by Akoumaru. Outside of Beidou and Navia, WGS is usually worse than a 4 star option, and that's disregarding Serpent Spine, if SS is counted then WGS is almost always worse. I don't think it's a terrible weapon, but IMO that's kind of the definition of "kinda cope" in that it's almost never a weapon that you'd actually want, just something you live with. I have WGS (2 actually) and I use it on Navia, but if I didn't have them I wouldn't be much worse off using Pride or Melusine, much less Serpent Spine.
I have only ever gotten 5 5 star weapons on standard and it’s 2 lost prayers and 3 skyward spines. The odds of getting 3 skyward spines out of 5 from a pool of 10 weapons is 4.86% and I somehow got that. The reason I know that is because I calculated it after the 3rd skyward spine because I just couldn’t believe getting another skyward spine.
@@LordFinkensteindamn, hopefully you find yourself a main who's a bow user. For me, I keep getting 5 star characters (Jean c3, Mona, Dehya c1, Tighnari c1, Qiqi), and only weapon ever was Aquila Favonia (and i love my Aquila Favonia).
If your getting glitter anyway. R5 skyward harp for an additional 40 crit damage could be tempting. That's just over 80 CV from your weapon. With its high base attack that kinda makes it better than a low refinement Aqua Simulacra.
Sorry but that sounds unrealistic, Leaks or not. Just look at the "skin selector" thing, leakers said it will be given out for free but it isnt (or it is if you buy a ps5 in china I guess).
I feel like he forgot that if theyre in the shop it becomes alot more reasonable to compare R5 versions of the standard 5* weapons to R1 signature or 4* weapons i also just dont agree that wgs is cope bc it works on every claymore character except itto whereas redhorn and Broken pine are stuck to Def/Phys characters id rather use wgs than fish or prototype and itd be easier to get wgs from shop than pay for bacon or verdict if you have too much atk% from wgs just use a EM sands or an ER sands or look for different substats
I do agree that WGS isn't cope, but the Redhorn isn't stuck to just def characters. It's such a strong stat stick that almost any claymore that wants a decent bit of dps will benefit from it, even without making any use of its passives. 88.2% crit damage is pretty universally good.
Stop buying crap from the starglitter shop, its not free. 5 starglitter is a pull so by spending it on worthless things like 4* cons or weapons that will rot on the bank you stop your account progression by a decent amount. You will eventually pull on banners that have shop 4*s on them. Getting an R5 standard weapon at HSR prices would be 150 pulls worth of stardust and would also require you to spend like 700 pulls to get the stardust in the first place.
Im on fielding yae whenever i play her so personally that lost prayer would be awesome, but if say, hunters path or beacon were added to the shop then im getting one of them for sure. Ultimately tho im not confident they'll actually do that but it'd be nice if they did

I've wanted a Harp for 3 years until I gave up and pulled from Lyney's weapon banner. No regrets though, I'm happy to be past needing the perma weapons I don't have. Hopefully they don't scam us too bad with the prices so everyone here can get their weapons too!

i think skyward harp fischl won the war against stringless with the release of the golden troupe set, the stringless passive is now significantly weaker than it used to be when fischl is on her bis set. and if you're using golden troupe fischl with furina for whatever reason (which i do lol) then the stringless passive is completely useless since you're stacking like 150 dmg% without an electro goblet lol. so pls lemme buy a skyward harp from the starglitter shop
Skyward Harp is a whole lot better than R1 stringless. R5 might be equal but I don't have R5 Stringless on any of my accounts after playing for 3 years because too many character needs it so at best I end up with like, 3 copies of r2 or r3 or something. Skyward Harp is also a CRIT RATE weapon. Those enable using Crit Damage circlets which are mostly unusuable even if they roll well without a CR weapon because it's extremely unlikely to roll over 65 Crit Rate from substats only. Most of those circlets are collecting dust for me because there are barely any f2P accessible CR weapons in the game. Harp is easily the best standard weapon in the game.
I can see the reasoning of Aquila being on top since the only thing you care about Bennett is giving him as much ER as possible so it doesn't matter if the weapon doesn't have ER substat. As for Skyward Sword... It's whatever on Bennett but for Jean Amenoma is way better. I don't agree about Skyward Atlas cuz Zajef's argument is a very hypothetical situation of having too much crit that you need to balance it with ATK. Wolf's Gravestone has truly fallen off mainly because Tidal Shadow is basically a 4-star copy of WGS that can potentially be better as you can have 100% uptime on it.
Aquilla favonia, a weapon which is useless on all characters except one, a character who also has multiple f2p options which are all really good(sapwood,fav,ally flash), gets placed in the highest tier possible meanwhile something like jade spear which is one of the best options for most polearm units and is the best in slot for xiao gets placed a 2 tiers below it on the same tier as amos bow. This guys is burning the kitchen day by day lol. Geez, what happened to him after 4.0 ? Dudes spitting L takes every single patch lol.
The f2p options you pointed out don't have the highest base atk possible to get the most out of the Bennett buff. Not every team needs Bennett, but characters that benefit from attack buffs will likely have Bennett in their teams. I don't agree with the tierlist fully, but he brought up valid reasons for why he organized his that way. Your post seems to imply that you skipped over the explanation and stared at the list.
@@LovinTheSickBeat The point is that that increase isnt worth pulls or money. The 100 atk you gain from the higher base you also lose on the ER side as you dont have a substat which means you will be stuck on bennet more often to funnel energy.
@@neuvil and most of the characters u mentioned see a bigger/similar increase if u give them jade spear instead of giving bennet aquilla. U only get about 200 more atk from bennet buff with aquila instead of sapwood. In exchange u lose the ER from sapwood and the EM(even if u dont pick up the flower its still not worth it to go aquilla). Seeing how in most furina teams, bennet is built with as much healing as possible, that lost ER is even harder to replace. Also even for the character u mentioned, ur not gonna run them with bennet all the time. Xiao teams going foward wont use bennet cuz xianyun exists and Raidens double hydro teams dont use bennet. Also, there are more polearm dps units than what u mentioned there. Cyno teams dont use bennet at all and hutao teams can use bennet but xianyun and jean versions of the team are very close interms of dps.

But the thing with skyward is that there are more units that can use that and not just bennet. Meanwhile aquilla is specifically only for bennet. U also have to consider that f2p options for most polearm dps units arent good. Raiden and XL can use the catch but what about the others ? Xiao has none except the blackcliff series which is just cope atp. Hutao has white tassel but its pretty mid in comparison to other weps. Cyni has.... none aside from kitten i think ? A 5* wep on a carry is more often a better dps increase than 200 more atk from a bennet buff. I agree that xiao is not bennet and bennet is used more in teams but u cant disregard the fact that pjws is one of the best options for any polearm dps and that there are cases where giving the carry a pjws is better than giving aquilla to bennet.
I have have skyward sword, harp, blade, wgs, pjws, atlas. The only 2 i actually use are harp and blade (on xingqui very rarely). People are saying hes coping with aquila but oh what I would give for a weapon that is actually an increase for lyney and navia lol.
I recently pulled jade spear on random multi which annoyed me cause I probably wouldn’t use it with Homa being available and maxed for Xiangling and others and I really want to finally get wolf gravestone hopefully soon just for fun builds like Sayu or Xinyan.
Sad the Blackcliff and Royal weapon sets fell off so hard. I've always really liked the look of them but I've pretty much never found a use for them other than early on in like 1.x-2.x I thought about getting a Blackcliff Greatsword but haven't really since.

i don't think zajaf noticed that "good on a whatever character" is better than "good on a great/good character". because a great character already caries the weapon to be good, but a whatever character can't carry the weapon as much, so if it's good on them it means it's overall better than whatever weapon being "good" on a great character.
Good on whatever means it's good on the likes of Dori/Xinyan aka not good at all. The only weapon he misjudge is Spine (good for Xiangling/Shenhe) but even that needs some refinements
Yeah I haven't used bennett in a while. Sumeru just gave too many other options so now its really easy to not use xiangling and bennett on either teams.

If you’ve accounted for the difference in pull value between Genshin & HSR, then 30 is pretty good for something like a copy of Lost Prayer or a Skyward Blade. Same for PJWS, that’s a pretty good deal. Therefore I very much doubt that they’ll ever introduce an exchange at that rate, their greed knows no bounds. They’ll probably offer them for an absurd amount of genesis crystals, if that.
What would you use in place of gravestone as a free to play then on characters like Beidou, Freminet, Dehya, Gaming (if you don’t have Xianyun), Eula, Chongyun, Diluc that would make “buying” gravestone cope?
I don't have the sumeru weapons bc I hate the walking beans. Also don't have any 5* sword. My Bennett is starving. Most 4* swords and spears are pretty bad for DPS characters like Xiao or Ayaka, compared to other weapons. Any 5* is better than that. But they will probably cost cash.
I mean, I've been playing for 2 years and never used bennet. I've tried with a sapwood he just never seemed worth it. I guess I'd try him again if i could get one of these. I've actually been using skyward spine alot recently.

Skyward Spine being a side-grade of The Catch still means it's pretty decent. Sure everyone have The Catch, but we can only have 1 of it, and i can say there are more than 1 chara that want it, commonly mentioned Raiden and Xiangling. Thus idt a 2nd Catch is a bad deal.
That’s my issue - If someone’s running rational who is using catch if you don’t have a five star polearm? Right now I’m using catch on raiden and fav on xiangling and it’s working out fine, but I’d prefer to have two copies of the catch haha

Don't understand why people shit on Skyward Spine. It is as good or better than The Catch - which everyone loves. You get The Catch for free? BUT you can only have ONE of The Catch and many characters like to use it. I use both all the time and it is just about the best thing you can put on Shenhe. Of course, if you have other good 5-star polearms, you don't need it much - which he said for the high-ranked weapons on his list, so that shouldn't count against it.
I dont know what youre taliking about since spine its literaly 5% worse than the catch, a free weapon that also requires less resources to level up since it is a 4 star (on xiangling). on Raiden, it's 1% better than the catch. And shenhe, well you can use it, but why pass up her BiS, Fav. it helps a lot in the teams shes played in like Wrio (melt) and ayaka, and is a great option for the fact that it is a high base atk 4 star.
Spine just has no niche since its outshined by the catch and Fav because its passive is useless, and its oomph as a 5 star weapon doesn't make up for it. Maybe one day people will use it, but today is not that day.

Got my first fav lance in 3.4 as a 1.0 starter. Also, have often used raiden and xl at the same time in an abyss. Spine would be such a good pull for me from standard.
@@THESocialJusticeWarrior the only characters who want catch is xiangling and Raiden, and Raidens most used teams now are HB. So it's usually just xiangling now. I don't know who else uses the catch other than xiangling.

I'd say the biggest sell for Skyward spine is actually Shenhe. It's still the highest base atk for polearm and Shenhe really want ER too. But Shenhe is pretty niche. More people have and use raiden for sure but if you're f2p and lack weapons (just starting etc.) you can just build EM raiden as its much easier and enables a lot of teams. So the value of Skyward Spine overall isn't that high.

They are all bait and not worth giving up starglitter that can become characters or non terrible weapons.
The shop is largely bait as a whole because even constellations for 4*s will eventually come to your account by playing long enough, the only exception are the standard 4*s Kaeya, Lisa, Amber if you really like them.
I hate when he does character based weapon quality. It doesnt feel right for an experienced TC to do that. especially for purchasable weapons and comparisons to other options. for example. Aquila is BiS for 1-2 characters, while a weapon like JWS or Lost Prayer are great options on a large variety of characters. I as a somewhat experience F2P metaslave, believe that a 20% upgrade on 6 characters is better than a 30% upgrade on just one. Especially when I have a limited amount of currency and no other way to secure good upgrades for my characters. I would remake the list with just the basic S A B C D tiers and have PJW and Harp in S, Skyward blade, WGS and Lost prayer in A, Aquila, Skyward atlas. skyward spine in B Amos in C and Skyward Pride in D. This is because the spear and bow options are much larger universal upgrades than Aquila as it is only a marginal and unimportant upgrade to only one character, aswell as 5 star bow and spear options can often help characters get to their stat breakpoints while aquila only gives some healing and a slightly bigger atk buff. allot to read through but this has happened twice recently with aquila bias and it seems wrong to me. Would love if you would care to prove me wrong though. (hell the only reason I wouldnt put Aquila in the lowest tier is strictly because of bennett) (I wonder if sometimes in ur lists you forget that just because most other 5 star options are better. they arent always as accessible)

Also I'm pretty sure that Harp R1 always deals more damage for Fischl than Stringless R5 in both regular and aggravate teams. It's not by a much, but it's still better, and it provides harder to get crit stats.

Been trying to make a really maxed Bennett for a while now and I just don't see the argument for aquila over skyward considering how much ER he really needs. It's literally his most important stat considering that base attack isn't really a true stat. Bennett really wants like 230-270 ER and if you can get enough from weapon and substats then you can also run noblesse which ought to be a larger buff than 70 extra base attack i'd think having not done the math
Literally the argument is "I rolled Aquila, so this is my cope".
agree, skyward blade is incredibly comfortable with the ER stat while having a high base. i have aquila yet i never use it on bennett because of how much energy i'd be missing out on- three taps on his skill and his burst is full w/ skyward.

@@bluuchandesu I used to use Aquila back in the day and it made sense when I only used Bennett in International, because he still recharged before XL. Since I got a Skyward and reluctantly leveled it, I haven't looked back though. In my eyes a slightly higher attack buff can't make up for smooth rotations without bothering to spend time on Bennett.
Harp is like 12-15% better in a lot of comps then Stringless R5 for Fischl if you are using Golden Troupe and even greater if Furina is there as well, its the nerdy type of math thing im surprised he forgot, not completely specific to harp just any of the 5* crit bows gained back their value with GT specifically, but Harp would be really easy way to get into this next tier damage if we could somehow purchase 5* weapons. 2pc 2pc its less a difference, where Stringless shines, but in the absolute best situation the difference is pretty huge, Stringless doesn't scale that well with GT, or worst case scenario would scale horribly in anything with Furina+GT, for instance Koko Taser or Neuve where you might want to use her.
Let's get down to earth Hoyo would never give us a free labeled 5 star even if it's gated behind tons of starglitter thingys

For 30, I think that would be pretty reasonable to buy generally good stuff like Harp or Skyward Blade, especially for F2P that wouldn't normally touch weapon banner.
The problem is that the Star Rail weapons are way more niche, so I think that's why their economy is balanced around it. They are meant for refines, not filling gaps.
Instead, you get 5-star shop weapons like Clara's (I just got a 2nd one from standard 💀), which is completely useless on any other destruction character.
If you use Raiden in Bennet less teams the Skyward value ump up a lot. Like in a Raiden/Furina/Yelan/Jean or a Raiden/Chevi/Kujou/Xiangling team. The higher base attak scale better in the first team because you don't have attack buffs and it is scale better in the second team with Chevi's buff and with Noblesse as well. Otherwise Skyward can be good on Shenhe if you have enough energy, it is pretty much a mddle ground between Favonius and Calamity.
But otherwise true, it is one of the least valuble in the bunch.
It's only good for Raiden really, and
1. Most Raiden mains would rather just get Engulfing anyways
2. Zajef plays Hyperbloom Raiden lol

Considering we don't know how big the cost will be for this weapens it is possible thet you can have it much more chaeply then an Engulfing. Though I would not buy this weapen before I get a Skyward Blade, but I think calling it entirly useless a little bit a streach, I mean it is a Catch sidegrade and not as if you never would want to use two Catch in the same time.
+ I think it is important for people who pulled it by chance to talk about this weapen use as well. I useing it on my Raiden and it is a very great weapen for her, before I get her I used it on Shenhe.

1. I play Raiden Bennet-less in Chevi teams and as you already said in dendro teams, like aggravate or quicken. + A lot of people do with Furina-Yelan-Jean core. It is a nice team, though can't use it because I don't have Jean.
2. Catch is good. Everyone should get it if for nothing else for Xiangling. My point was thet if you use her without Bennet the Catch became much worse, though still a good weapen. (And as I established in the first point Raiden is played Bennet-less, especially nowadays. We have options, yey.)
3. High refinment is not needed for Shenhe at all, you don't really useing the passive with her, it is a high base attack and ER% stat stick. Like Skyward Blade for Bennet. In the case of Xiangling, because you use her mostly with Bennet the Catch and Spine does'nt really differ, though if you use her outside of Bennet teams it still should be better then Catch, though in thet case I would rather use Favonius anyway.
Bonus: I forgot to mention but it is a very nice weaepn on Rosaria as well, because if you use her in freez the higher base attack is valuble and if you use her in melt you propably will use Xiangling as well so the Catch already used. It is not amazing or anything but a nice stat stick.

The recent event Claymore won’t be much different for Navia, etc. It’s probably nice for Beidou lacking serpent spine or the burst damage buffing claymore that’s only on weapon banners, but not much better.

I have both Verdict and the melusine sword so I probably wouldn't use it on anyone (can't foresee a situation where I would use so many claymore characters that wouldn't be able to just use those weapons), but future players may not want to test their luck if Verdict is paired with a less universally good weapon next time it gets featured, or pay for BP. It's definitely a reasonable option

R1 Serpent spine is better, Mailed flower is better for vape, and various other 4 star options are also better. The new event Claymore is also more or less the same value in all situations, with it being so slightly behind it won't often matter at all.
Wolfs biggest issue is that there arent any playable claymore supports that aren't energy blackholes.
I mean, a the catch sidegrade is pretty good when you want to run both raiden and xiangling. and I mean... raiden has very popular team comps with xiangling, not to mention you might wanna just run them on other sides. so in that regard, I'd say skyward spine is a bit better than he gives it credit for.
We just had a massively spread incorrect leak with the 4* skin selection, i don't think anyone should put much stake in any leaks rn that are not character data from betas.

With regards to the first section of the video, I never look at Questionable leaks, ever. They range from vague to absolutely debunked a few days later. Just stick to the Reliable tag and view them as they come before they get DMCA struck
Putting Wolfs Gravestone in Cope is crazy. That needs to be near the top. Dare i say it's the best, most flexable 5 star option. (For standard weapons)
I also can't condon Aquila being at the top considering Bennet is really the only one who WANTS to use it. But is ultimately an inferior option to Skyward Blade because of its very useful ER substat, as opposed to physical damage. Rest of the list is fair.
WGS is pretty cope. It is outdone by all three crit stat, limited, five star claymores. For shielded characters, Unforged is better. It has some use for off-field support types, but those are generally better off with the likes of a Fav. Heck, for most teams, the Fontaine crafted claymore at high refines is better than a low refine WGS, in regards to attack for a damage dealer.
Don't get me wrong, there are far worse standard five star weapons. It is overall, an okay weapon, not a bad one to use. But is it worth spending currency to get? No.

Let me break it down for you.
Unforged hasn't shown its face for about 630~ days. We're probably never going to see Beacon again, but I would LOVE to br wrong about that. Verdict is good, but a little Niche, and requires a geo unit in the party to make full use. So that leaves us with Stonethresher, which is solid with its 88% CD alone, but passive is going to be useless on all but Itto and Noelle.
So, on any character who's best in slots aren't these customize 5 star weapons, WGS is going to be their most competitive option.
I maintain, that WGS is one of the best standard weapons period.
It has s tier drip, but underperforms compared to other 5 star weapons
@@Blackoutdmc The issue with WGS is also the characters that can utilize it though compared to other 4 star options (and also Serpent Spine for BP buyers). 5 star claymores are all not that great because of SS, to be fair.
Diluc with Xianyun will be preferring Rainslasher, same with Ga Ming. Itto and Noelle would rather use Whiteblind. For Navia, WGS is barely better than Melusine when ER is normalized (although this is probably its best use case). A lot of underwhelming claymore characters (Chongyun, Xinyan, Dori, etc.,) aren't really that relevant. Eula is fine with WGS but it's similar to Pride (a bit worse possibly), and gets outdamaged by Akoumaru. Outside of Beidou and Navia, WGS is usually worse than a 4 star option, and that's disregarding Serpent Spine, if SS is counted then WGS is almost always worse.
I don't think it's a terrible weapon, but IMO that's kind of the definition of "kinda cope" in that it's almost never a weapon that you'd actually want, just something you live with. I have WGS (2 actually) and I use it on Navia, but if I didn't have them I wouldn't be much worse off using Pride or Melusine, much less Serpent Spine.

I have only ever gotten 5 5 star weapons on standard and it’s 2 lost prayers and 3 skyward spines. The odds of getting 3 skyward spines out of 5 from a pool of 10 weapons is 4.86% and I somehow got that. The reason I know that is because I calculated it after the 3rd skyward spine because I just couldn’t believe getting another skyward spine.
Meanwhile standard banner is determined to only give me skyward harp, sitting at r4 right now.

For me, I keep getting 5 star characters (Jean c3, Mona, Dehya c1, Tighnari c1, Qiqi), and only weapon ever was Aquila Favonia (and i love my Aquila Favonia).
I feel you :c I got 2 Skyward Pride and 2 Aquila Favonia from the standard banner, but I least I got a Skyward Harp and a Lost Prayer as well

If your getting glitter anyway. R5 skyward harp for an additional 40 crit damage could be tempting. That's just over 80 CV from your weapon. With its high base attack that kinda makes it better than a low refinement Aqua Simulacra.
Just disregard that with that much glitter you could pull a signature.

i also just dont agree that wgs is cope bc it works on every claymore character except itto whereas redhorn and Broken pine are stuck to Def/Phys characters id rather use wgs than fish or prototype and itd be easier to get wgs from shop than pay for bacon or verdict if you have too much atk% from wgs just use a EM sands or an ER sands or look for different substats
I do agree that WGS isn't cope, but the Redhorn isn't stuck to just def characters. It's such a strong stat stick that almost any claymore that wants a decent bit of dps will benefit from it, even without making any use of its passives. 88.2% crit damage is pretty universally good.

Stop buying crap from the starglitter shop, its not free. 5 starglitter is a pull so by spending it on worthless things like 4* cons or weapons that will rot on the bank you stop your account progression by a decent amount. You will eventually pull on banners that have shop 4*s on them.
Getting an R5 standard weapon at HSR prices would be 150 pulls worth of stardust and would also require you to spend like 700 pulls to get the stardust in the first place.

i think skyward harp fischl won the war against stringless with the release of the golden troupe set, the stringless passive is now significantly weaker than it used to be when fischl is on her bis set. and if you're using golden troupe fischl with furina for whatever reason (which i do lol) then the stringless passive is completely useless since you're stacking like 150 dmg% without an electro goblet lol. so pls lemme buy a skyward harp from the starglitter shop

Skyward Harp is a whole lot better than R1 stringless. R5 might be equal but I don't have R5 Stringless on any of my accounts after playing for 3 years because too many character needs it so at best I end up with like, 3 copies of r2 or r3 or something. Skyward Harp is also a CRIT RATE weapon. Those enable using Crit Damage circlets which are mostly unusuable even if they roll well without a CR weapon because it's extremely unlikely to roll over 65 Crit Rate from substats only. Most of those circlets are collecting dust for me because there are barely any f2P accessible CR weapons in the game.
Harp is easily the best standard weapon in the game.

I can see the reasoning of Aquila being on top since the only thing you care about Bennett is giving him as much ER as possible so it doesn't matter if the weapon doesn't have ER substat. As for Skyward Sword... It's whatever on Bennett but for Jean Amenoma is way better.
I don't agree about Skyward Atlas cuz Zajef's argument is a very hypothetical situation of having too much crit that you need to balance it with ATK.
Wolf's Gravestone has truly fallen off mainly because Tidal Shadow is basically a 4-star copy of WGS that can potentially be better as you can have 100% uptime on it.

Aquilla favonia, a weapon which is useless on all characters except one, a character who also has multiple f2p options which are all really good(sapwood,fav,ally flash), gets placed in the highest tier possible meanwhile something like jade spear which is one of the best options for most polearm units and is the best in slot for xiao gets placed a 2 tiers below it on the same tier as amos bow.

not everyone is Bennett. all the characters that might like, jade spear, most likely wants Bennett. Xiao, XL, Raiden. That's the point.
The f2p options you pointed out don't have the highest base atk possible to get the most out of the Bennett buff. Not every team needs Bennett, but characters that benefit from attack buffs will likely have Bennett in their teams. I don't agree with the tierlist fully, but he brought up valid reasons for why he organized his that way. Your post seems to imply that you skipped over the explanation and stared at the list.
@@LovinTheSickBeat The point is that that increase isnt worth pulls or money. The 100 atk you gain from the higher base you also lose on the ER side as you dont have a substat which means you will be stuck on bennet more often to funnel energy.
@@neuvil and most of the characters u mentioned see a bigger/similar increase if u give them jade spear instead of giving bennet aquilla. U only get about 200 more atk from bennet buff with aquila instead of sapwood. In exchange u lose the ER from sapwood and the EM(even if u dont pick up the flower its still not worth it to go aquilla). Seeing how in most furina teams, bennet is built with as much healing as possible, that lost ER is even harder to replace.
Also even for the character u mentioned, ur not gonna run them with bennet all the time. Xiao teams going foward wont use bennet cuz xianyun exists and Raidens double hydro teams dont use bennet. Also, there are more polearm dps units than what u mentioned there. Cyno teams dont use bennet at all and hutao teams can use bennet but xianyun and jean versions of the team are very close interms of dps.

Xiao has none except the blackcliff series which is just cope atp. Hutao has white tassel but its pretty mid in comparison to other weps. Cyni has.... none aside from kitten i think ? A 5* wep on a carry is more often a better dps increase than 200 more atk from a bennet buff.
I agree that xiao is not bennet and bennet is used more in teams but u cant disregard the fact that pjws is one of the best options for any polearm dps and that there are cases where giving the carry a pjws is better than giving aquilla to bennet.

I have have skyward sword, harp, blade, wgs, pjws, atlas. The only 2 i actually use are harp and blade (on xingqui very rarely). People are saying hes coping with aquila but oh what I would give for a weapon that is actually an increase for lyney and navia lol.
I recently pulled jade spear on random multi which annoyed me cause I probably wouldn’t use it with Homa being available and maxed for Xiangling and others and I really want to finally get wolf gravestone hopefully soon just for fun builds like Sayu or Xinyan.
Sad the Blackcliff and Royal weapon sets fell off so hard. I've always really liked the look of them but I've pretty much never found a use for them other than early on in like 1.x-2.x I thought about getting a Blackcliff Greatsword but haven't really since.
Royal was always bad. If it switched it's passive with Blackcliff then the latter would be an amazing F2P set even if it's a bit unreliable due to RNG

i don't think zajaf noticed that "good on a whatever character" is better than "good on a great/good character". because a great character already caries the weapon to be good, but a whatever character can't carry the weapon as much, so if it's good on them it means it's overall better than whatever weapon being "good" on a great character.
Good on whatever means it's good on the likes of Dori/Xinyan aka not good at all. The only weapon he misjudge is Spine (good for Xiangling/Shenhe) but even that needs some refinements

Yeah I haven't used bennett in a while. Sumeru just gave too many other options so now its really easy to not use xiangling and bennett on either teams.
Harp is also a good weapon for Aloy in general!

If you’ve accounted for the difference in pull value between Genshin & HSR, then 30 is pretty good for something like a copy of Lost Prayer or a Skyward Blade. Same for PJWS, that’s a pretty good deal. Therefore I very much doubt that they’ll ever introduce an exchange at that rate, their greed knows no bounds. They’ll probably offer them for an absurd amount of genesis crystals, if that.

Most 4* swords and spears are pretty bad for DPS characters like Xiao or Ayaka, compared to other weapons. Any 5* is better than that.
But they will probably cost cash.

the only time i got 5 stars weapons in the standard banner was a double weapon and both were the claymors which i don't use. lucky/unlucky.
