A friend of my recommended your videos after acing the GRE exam. Then after watching some of your videos, now I know how he got such a high score. Please upload more. Thanks
Thank you for posting these helpful videos! I’ve been watching for a couple weeks and these always help me a lot. I feel very confident for my GRE tomorrow!
Hello again @The Tested Tutor (Phillip), is the answer to the last question (at 16:18) 16 or 14? I seem to have calculated 16, no matter how I look at it. Please let know. Anna
In cases where we have to find the value of people who play all 3 games for example, and we're given total students, and other values. How does one go about that ?
Hey Philip, your quant videos are the best, I have my GRE in 2 months. I bought the GMATTricks quant course that you mentioned in your previous videos. Do I need to omit some topics as the course is targeted on GMAT?
Hey Philip I got 312 in the ETS Powerprep 1 today. But I am not satisfied with my Verbal Section, I am hanging in the early 150’s. Any specific tips for that? I just have 15 days for my exam.
Actually my gre score is less than 300 . Is it a bad score ? Because I have good gpa and almost all the college have made GRE optional . Does my score affect on admission acceptances chances?
I'm going to take the GRE on 12th and I scored a 312 on the ETS Practice Test 1 yesterday. Do you have any recommendations to improve scores other than practice? should I postpone it? I am aiming for a 320+ score.
@@tanishchecker6897 I don't think I am qualified enough to answer your question but what I am currently doing is, using the Magoosh vocabulary app. I use it every time I do anything other than studying. Also, I am practicing RCs a lot. Not to mention, I took a break from everything (social media, friends, movies, TV etc) Hope it helps.
Thanks for helping aspiring students, your videos are great and have been helping alot of us. Can you please help me understand this question's solution. Three table runners have a combined area of 200 square inches. By overlapping the runners to cover 80% of a table of area 175 square inches, the area that is covered by exactly two layers of runner is 24 square inches. What is the area of the table that is covered with three layers of runner?
First take the three runners have a combined area as (A+B+C)=200. Then take exactly 2 layers as D=24. They are asking for 3 layers right? Which is 2E. Most of the 3 overlapping sums have neither as 0 or they mention it. So here neither=0. Then total= 0.8(175)=140. Substitute in phillips formula Total=A+B+C-D-2E+Neither. 140=200-24-2E Solve for E. *the answer is=18*. Initially I was intimidated by the 80% of area mentioned in the question, but taking the question piece by piece can help you here!
I think he should have chosen this question for explaining. It will help people better understand and appreciate the formula/expression explained in the video:)
OMG! Finding this channel might just be the best thing that's happened to me since sliced bread.

finally somebody gave some easy understandable way to calculate this shit... thank you!

when to use formula? Or when we need to use diagram?
Helpful more than enough. But the formula to find the union/total for three sets looks wrong, how it 2E? I guess it should be E.
Exactly, I believe it is supposed to be E and end up being just 5

Would the answer for the last question be 16 or 14? Anyone's input is welcome & appreciated 🙂
In the table, it is 16. For the textual question it is 14
The part I don't get yet is why we use "2E" instead of just E
ye just e and should be 5 percent
Isn't the formula for three sets is n(A∪B∪C) = n(A) + n(B) + n(C) - n(A∩B) - n(B∩C) - n(C∩A) + n(A∩B∩C) + neither

This is the formula I know. Using this the second question has the answer 20. I'm surprised why Philip's answer is 14 tbh
