Gorgeous cards! Grits are one of my favorite breakfast foods behind gravy biscuits, but they have to be the long cooking grits, not the quick or instant ones. Years ago I used to waitress. Being from along the blue ridge parkway in the nw NC mountains we always had a lot of tourists in the summer. This really fun family came in for breakfast and they had never heard of grits before. I explained it was basically ground dried corn cooked into a creamy consistency. I brought him a small dish of grits to try and he liked them. He said well I’m not real hungry, so just let me have just one grit and laughed. So I went into the kitchen to put their order in and asked the cook to put me just one grit in a bowl. She looked at me like I had lost my mind and I explained it to her, but she was also a good sport and fished out one little grit and put it in a bowl. I took their order out and we all got the biggest laugh out of that one grit in the bowl. And they left me a really big tip. Fun times back in the day.
Re: Oatmeal. My big sister put it in my slipper, when we were kids. I couldn't figure out who had puked in it. It grossed me out so much, I never wanted to eat it again.
Happy New Year! My preference would be a little more challenging cards. Most demonstrators do the easy simple cards and that is why you are my favorite to watch!

Hi Lisa..................you were almost done when I realized (remembered) you were going to be on this morning, so had to go back to beginning. I had grits at a Cracker Barrel in Georgia on my way to Florida in 1995. Thought they were very similar to Cream of Wheat...........was OK. Used to watch soaps.......Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, One life to Live. Now that I am retired I am far too busy................running to dr. all the time. Have been dealing with cancer (melanoma) for two years already. Four surgeries in less than two years, but one was for my colon that burst three days after cancer surgery on my face in April. Still have ostomy bag from the colon issue but can be reversed if I ever get a break from cancer treatments. Just started a seven week course of radiation on Tuesday. The running every day (45-50 minutes one way) is going to get old real fast. Not doing anything for New Years other than maybe church at 4:00 if I feel up to it. Have had a head cold all week. Ever since Covid started life has pretty much sucked. Glad I have the card making to help me keep a grip on sanity ! 🙂 Hope your work is stress free this weekend ! Carry on with the carding................I like both quick and easy as well as more involved. Some times I work on a single card for hours before done with it.

Lisa, it’s hard to get the host code when you’re showing the card project. Is there any way you can push up the desk pad so the host code is more disable⁉️👍🏼
I've had grits (which are made from corn) many different ways and it always feels like I'm chewing on styrofoam- they have no flavor and I can eat cheese without them. Your cards are gorgeous, by the way!
