  • Scripps Oceanography marine ecologist Jennifer Smith studies coral reef ecosystems using novel technologies. "I largely work in shallow coastal ecosystems so systems that require scuba diving in order to study them and primarily in warm tropical seas where you find coral reefs." Some of this marine biology research involves generating 3D images of coral reef systems for analysis. #Ecology #CoralReefs #MarineTechnology #Marine Biology
