I love his movies. He doesn't always hit it out of the park, but he always tries to, and IMO he succeeds way more often than not. The Fountain is one of my all time favorites
Agree. He's one of those filmmakers that I come back to after a couple of years and rewatching his films give me a much more powerful impact than on previous watches. Requiem for a Dream is honestly one of the best films of all time. And I wish it never got remade by some talentless hack.
How can Darren talk about Noah and mother and not reference gnosticism. It's quite black and white, that mythology is in there far more so than chrisitanity.
