I bought one of these several years ago. At first all went well but when I changed the blade that came with it to a brand new one, the troubles started. Now, two years later, it needs a new motor - the supression coils in the mains supply line to the motor burned out, new genuine blades do not last anything like as long as the original blade even though I am only cutting wood. I emailed customer services but their customer services are a joke, spare parts are way too expensive so I'm forced to go back to my small Mini-Craft mini table saw. Proxxon blades are thinner but you can make them fit the Mini-Craft saw with the addition of a washer on the drive spindle. Shame really, the Proxxon is a very nice tool and very accurate - just far to expensive to run. Oh, and for those that compain about the blade guard being removed in this video, sorry but you really have to if you want accuracy. I bought mine directly from Germany (I'm in the UK). It is a genuine product and the machine was never "forced" or abused. It just wore out way too qickly for what it cost. Serial number 2015-58201
I see you've removed the blade cover. I've been trying to do the same, but have difficulty lifting the work table. Unscrewed the four screws that hold it to the base, removed the blade, but there seems to be something holding the table on left side.
You have to split the housing! Unscrew the 3 screws on the bottom, then you are able to unscrew the Motor and the Gearbox which holds down your work table :-)
+w3rw0lf Found an easier (less dramatic) solution. If you get a hold of a short (stubby) Allen key, and some pointy pliers, you can get away with unscrewing (and screwing back on) the darned thing right from the round access hole. Takes a bit of wiggling and some contortionist feats though :) Afterwards, instead of taking the whole safe cover off for good, I simply knocked out the little shaft that holds it, replaced with a screw. Now, the safety feature works exactly the same, and for those special moments when you need to pull through a taller piece (or some such) the screw comes off, and voila!

I agree ... 20 teeth blade is very usefull, there is enought space for chips to be eliminated, so there is less friction and the motor can run much more speedly without overheating. Of course this saw bench is for very little pieces, and for sporadic use. I mainly use it ( only with 20 teeth blade ) to cut little printed circuit board laminates, up to 1,6 mm , and i find that for this work is really excelent ...

Why did you remove the guide and the blade cover? Those are for safety and should NOT be removed unless one have to.
