Praise God Praise God Hallelujah🙌☝️ my wife and I both grew up in ministry singing families that loved the Paynes pastor Mike & Lorene Payne and all this just blessed my soul today as I came across this concert several yrs ago. Y'all still have it!! We pray for your family ministry and church that God will give you many souls for your labor while there's time!! PTL
So nice seeing Sandra sing in a more recent context! She released two well produced and fantastic, imho, solo albums in '97 and 2000 with a soulful contemporary (yet southern Gospel influenced) sound. Do seek those out. They're keepers.
The last time I seen them in person was Souls Harbor Pentecostal COG years ago. Their name came across my mind & I wanted to see if they were still going. Beautiful music & singing.
I've always enjoyed the Payne's but Mike sounds like he's struggling. They don't sound as good in this video. And the bald man definitely keeps going off key.
Payne's bar weres my books pictures he had to come to the his son to save the bar baby loved his bar he made a lot of money all the stars would come to see me paw paw would send me all over the place and say call when you get there ok paw paw weres my debit BOOKS at im collect on them I built that BAR I no he either left a letter and the keys to my BAR and my pictures it was all over jelous of me sweet child of mine how much is that doggie in the window u all stoled from me TG loved his boy u all couldn't even take me to his funeral cuz u forged my name I no he left it to me MY BAR and other business I started with my money and u stoled everything from me I AM WHO I AM
I remember granny Payne she was meaner then grandpa Payne she used to put me on the bar between the three metal bars and teach me stuff the chalk board was right in front of me she was strict about education for me I remember one time I ran from her so I wouldn't get woped but that was a bad mistake I got beat for that one bad to I remember my hiding spot if bad people came in the bar I was kidnapped from there and held for ransom one time his office had books behind our chair the picture of me and him passed out in the chair I was in a dipar he was in a wife beater the TV was sat in front of desk low enough that I could reach it it was white turn dial every wear me and him went my first dollar I made there went on the wall of the business stars came just to see the baby sing and dance on the bar I did it for the vets to the old vets were my buddy's I was about three was curious on what came outta the taps on the bar well I got a little drunk curious kid coyote ugly is all wrong it was a wild engine baby dancing on the bar I've been every wear people would take me everywhere with them to the bars they just loved the bar baby I wrote poems cards music and so on paw paw loved me so much and I loved him he new that
I really like The Paynes. When I was a teenager I always loved the song "I'm a Jesus fan". I have always enjoyed listening to them.
