Pero nung college freshmen ako, purong 1st gen nasakyan ko tapos madalang makasakay ng 3rd gen.

The Gen 1 trains have so much memory
Yes it's been operating for almost 40 years. The 1G trains are already retired and not used already but some are used as a Skip Train or Test Train for the Cavite Extension of the LRT-1. So 1G had been replaced by 4G. 4G and 3G are the 2 generations trains for LRT-1 to stay and run the whole line for the next few years.

Honestly this transit system needs to be redone. The platforms are not even level with the trains. They should tear Line 1 down or fix the platforms.

Lrt 1 crashed into a lrt 2 and derailment in a manila
Noong February,2011 Isang aksidente sa LRT-1 ng dalwang teen ang 1G at 3G ay nagkabangaan sa tabi ng Sm North Annex Turnback 1km away from Roosevelt (Fernando Poe Jr Station) mga 10,000-20,000 ang naakepto sa aksidente nito . Dahil dito ang LRTA ay pinasarado ng dalwang months ang Roosevelt at Balintawak stations. From February to April 2011 From Monumento to Baclaran lang ang biyahe ng LRT-1 . Noong April 2011 muli ibinuksan ang Roosevelt at Balintawak stations. Pagkatapos ng aksidente noong Pebrero ang speed ng LRT 1 ay naging mabagal na ang speed ng mga tren . 40 kph lang ang takbo ipaliwanag daw ni LRTA Hernando Cabrera na Kung bakit 40kph speed ang LRT 1 ay Luma na ang mga riles at kailangan na Palitan.
