    How come the "wig-wag lights" one makes a chirping noise as the lights flash?

    • @AdamsLights
      @AdamsLights  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I answered this in your other comment, but that only happens with strobe lights, due to their capacitors charging. Incandescent and LED lights do not operate that way, which is why the don't make a noise.

    How do you connect a flasher swing arm stop sign to a battery?

    • @AdamsLights
      @AdamsLights  ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe there are three wires, if I remember correctly. There is a positive and negative to power the whole system. Then, there is an additional positive to actuate the arm.

    • @AdamsLights
      @AdamsLights  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are right! There were actually three kinds... Electric (like mine), air, and vacuum. Air and vacuum were similar, except the air-operated ones used an air compressor to essentially blow on the sign, where the vacuum kind used suction to extend the arm. Wat is the brightest stop arm you have? Bc i wanna get one online but i need to find out the best one. I also need to see how the wiring goes but the internet these days just give me people that run school bus stop arms.

    • @AdamsLights
      @AdamsLights  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Out of the 4 I have, the one on the bottom left corner is the brightest, AND easiest to work with. The halogen one (top left) and the bottom right one (With the flashing word STOP) requires an external flasher to make the lights flash, where as the strobe and the LED lights version have it built in.
      As far as wiring, it's super easy, ESPECIALLY if you have one that has the built in flasher. There are only 3 wires.... white (negative), red (positive), and blue (activate), which is the wire that actuates the arm.
      I have 4 more of the version on the bottom right (flashing word STOP) that I am selling. $50, plus shipping, if you are. interested.

      Thanks for watching! First, you need to make sure that you stop signs are electric powered, NOT air/vacuum powered. Most stop signs were air powered, so you need to check that first. Secondly, get yourself a 12v power inverter, that changes your household wall outlet from 120v down to 12v. Then hook it up, and it should work.

      Hi Kody. So, each light bulb has a positive wire, and negative wire, right? (Usually red and black). The negative (black) wire from each bulbs goes straight to your negative/ground pin on your battery/power supply... doesn't even touch the 7000 flasher. The positive (red) wire from each bulb, goes to the respective post on the flasher unit.

      There are a host of places available now. Many of these came via Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, or eBay. I've also gotten some directly from other collectors, while some came from the MANY Facebook groups online. Thanks for watching!!!

    The sign on the bottom right (with the word ‘stop’ blinking) isn’t an attention getter.

      Oddly, it's one of the most-used signs in the nation now, especially in larger districts. Go figure!
