    Am i the only one who is completely ok with the fact that miley basically turned the call her daddy podcast into an existential life advice podcast 😂 like honestly she didn’t seem too interested in talking about sex at all but i think we all neeeded this much more than needing to know about miley’s sex life anyway LOL. Alex i really love that you gave miley a safe space to talk about anything she wanted and really give us a glimpse into her mind.

    • @heyilikemakeup

    • @KaylaBrooks4
      @KaylaBrooks4 3 ปีที่แล้ว +42

      Katie yeah that def is a part of it but most of what they talk about is misogynistic it’s rare when the podcast is purely just about feminism. Like there’s literally an episode called “just a hole” where alex and sofia urge the female listeners to think ab themselves as j a hole lol. And that’s fine BC it’s a comedy podcast not a female empowerment podcast

I think Alex probably initially thought that Miley would be a great candidate for the show because she has so many songs about sex and sexuality which leads us to think that she has sex all the time and that it’s a huge part of her life, when in actuality it’s just a small portion of her life. It was nice to learn more about her, but it was like she was constantly beating around the bush with her responses... like when Alex asked her what her favorite position was and she said “CEO” and when she asked her what her favorite toy was and she said “chandelier.” Like c’mon... how is Alex supposed to respond to those questions lol? I don’t think Alex has ever interviewed someone who didn’t answer her questions clearly so this was definitely good experience though.

    This interview had so much potential but just wasn’t it. Miley provides so many opportunities for Alex to really pick her brain and get below the surface about sex/sexuality/love/her trials and tribulations, but unfortunately Alex wasn’t able to key in on those moments and ask certain follow on questions to really allow Miley to express her thoughts or herself fully. This interview might have been great for the channel and CallHerDaddy label, but I think it did Miley a disservice. Also Alex says “yea” and “right” a lot throughout Miley’s responses, it takes away the genuineness and makes it seem like she’s not actively listening, just waiting to respond instead of absorbing Miley’s words and emotions. Love Miley Cyrus and I’m so glad the world was able to see this side of her because she’s a truly beautiful person inside and out, but Alex- cussing and saying like every other word makes you lose credibility as a professional.

    Disappointed by this interview. Even if Miley did preapprove these questions (although she seems very adamant about avoiding several topics), it seems clear most of what Miley said flew over Alex's head. What could have been interesting conversations fell flat because Alex just mindlessly said "right" and "yeah" while clearly not really understanding what is going on because she just wants to get back on the topic of sex toys or positions. I really want to support this pod but i keep finding it to just be braindead, shallow discussions with potentially harmful ideology. Some depth and nuance to the sexuality talk, like what Miley attempted to do for you here, could really add value to Call Her Daddy. Try to learn something.

There is a way to show love and kindness to people whose work impacted you without full-on worshipping them and changing your entire personality to suck up to them. They certainly pick up on that behavior and they often complain backstage when they keep having to deal with people who are doing that. It ruins the potential relationship that you would have had with them because they can't reach a real, genuine connection with you. In turn they'll keep the people who do that at arm's length because there's no depth to be found in those interactions. People who are famous still want to be treated and spoken to like regular humans. The starry-eyed fan behavior is honestly really annoying to deal with all the time.
      I don't "blame" Alex but I do think she has a strong enough personality that she could have done better... @@klopici i also heavily relate to coming off as a slut for how I dress and my aesthetic but in reality when it comes to my sex life I'm not a slut and I think she really made that a clear understanding in this interview, how there's difference between how we are seen vs our sexuality. She's breaking barrier's even if the average douche male can't see it.

She’s been my idol since I was four years old, and being able to grow up with her has been such a beautiful thing. She is such a well spoken, humble, grounded, inspiring, kind, loving, beautiful person inside and out that I am so grateful to get to be a fan of. Miley fucking Cyrus!!!! 🤩❤️

    Miley is so wise, she has been through so much in her young life and short time on earth. I realized in the past when I didn’t like Miley it’s because I wasn’t comfortable with my own sexuality so to see her display hers nonchalantly made me uncomfortable. Now I’m like “do your thing!” She’s badass for doing what she wants and not caring.

    All the times Alex said "ummm I'm lost is anyone else lost hehehehe" just shows the difference in age and maturity. Lauren Conrad's "favorite position" being "CEO" is huge and im shocked Alex didn't catch that. That was cringe among other reactions but brought Alex back down to earth when it comes to sex, sex isn't p0rn in real life and real life isn't all about sex. Love Miley's wisdom. Alex thought she was going to come on and be like "so my name's Miley and this is how I twist on a d*CK" no honey. Still love Alex though, reminder- she's made this podcast a great success due to 75% great sex advice and that other % CHEAT ON HIM type shit and that's okay but big celebs aren't going to come on here and totally divulge in the typical tit for tat Especially when they're mostly trying to promote a new endeavor- as you can see Miley went on several different podcasts for midnight sky so this wasn't just a "rare" moment, it was PR for Miley.

      Right, and of course Alex is going to grow as a person, perhaps stardom forced that growth on Miley faster.
      And yeah I was wondering how this was gonna work, was Miley just gonna go all in like? How can she talk about stuff and not get cancelled or something idk

    For the people hating because Alex was “interrupting” Miley so much. Obviously she has things to improve on. I give her some slack before Alex was used to doing this podcast with her best friend and not having guests. She just started being solo and having guests. She’s not used to doing interviews or having “conversations” on her podcast with guests when Sophia was on they already had the chemistry. Give her time she’ll improve and figure it out.

    • @subblonde3101
      @subblonde3101 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't really agree that she is immature i just dont think she was able to adapt. She just fell back on what she knew, i think she was nervous. Its a learning lesson. I like Alex and the podcast, i think some people are being too hard but their criticism is bang on, it was jarring; especially some of the comments...Miley is very pro acceptance so some of Alex's comments werent appropriate. Miley is a great sport and easy going so shed never call her out and make her feel uncomfortable but you need to be careful with your words because it can reflect on Miley, especially when shes agreeing but taking Miley out of context, like "[yeah I know dicks are so ugly, its like a baby carrot] etc" ( im paraphrasing) that's not what Miley meant at all.... or not being able to add on any of Mileys points and dig deeper. Interviews are not easy and i think this one wasnt her normal formula and it showed how miss-matched it was.
