I looked up those ships. They are called Volgoneft, design 1577. They were built from 1968 (oldest one) to 1979 (newest one). Meant to transport oil products by river only. Crude oil transportation by sea is not recommended, though not really forbidden. 55 years old river tanker + stormy sea water = stupid idea.
