oh dude, I follow that guy on mastodon! :D I even submitted something but it was out of city limits so he was like "sorry, city limits only so far" which is, like, fair enough. ^_^
An interesting ride. It's good to get a glimpse of how some of the public input that promotes our groovy bike lanes works. I roll on an electric scooter when I am trying to mix up my commute to Beacon Hill.
I don't have any guest suggestions, but a good spot for an interview ride would be elliot bay park to Alaskan Way (maybe even all the way down to the ferry terminal once those bike lanes are done). It's very scenic, and also very flat which is probably good for a conversation while riding, and many chunks of it are wide enough to even ride side-by-side (as I could tell you really wanted to do in this one 😂)
Haha great suggestion! 🤣 This was the route I used for our best side cycling meetup rides. It's truly a great one. Yeah, I couldn't really fully hear what Sanders was saying so I was pulling up for an actual conversation but the mics handled it very well here
@@BestSideCycling It's a major chunk of my commute and I definitely think it's one of the nicest routes in the city! The mics definitely did a good job handling the distance between you, but I could see it being hard to hear people over the wind and road noise, especially along Broadway.
@@MrHappyZorro It's super weird because I bike down alaskan along the waterfront every week and the stretch from the aquarium to to Spring has seemed finished for like a full year now but it's still blocked off for some reason? The city keeps saying it will be open this year, but I'll believe it when I see it I guess.
I’ve been wondering why the city didn’t implement any bike infrastructure on Madison. I mean, they literally tore up the whole thing up and remade it! I understand the point was to set things up for the Rapid G Line, which I’m so excited for, but was it really not possible to get some bike lanes in there too? I’m largely happy with how much attention and effort is going into making Seattle truly bikeable. This just seems like a wasted opportunity.
I can understand cyclists getting annoyed but what about delivery drivers that have low paid jobs and have a time limit to deliver goods .. The city should be thinking about both not just cyclists.... And then by compromising everyone wins...
Hi , I am Darwin living in Vancouver I hope I can join a bike ride with you I want to experience the type of riding you are doing. Let me know if you want a buddy for bike riding.
I just joined X just so I could contribute photos to Sanders feed. Thanks for the video.
He's on mastodon, threads and you can contribute directly from his website too!

Get Seattle Bike Blog on obviously :P
@@username42069 haha yeah I definitely should try to get on a ride with Tom!
Bob Svercl too. His TH-cam account is bobco85
This rolling interview style is great!
@@ballardtrip yes I was pretty happy how the audio turned out I'll think of another video like this soon
We need concrete bike lanes up and down Broadway in NYC too !!!
we need broader ways!

@jetpacktuxedo That bicycle lane project has sat undone for a long time. I have lost faith it will ever get completed. Great video suggestion.

Sweet video! Also... I NEED to know where to buy that "Got 99 Problems" sticker on his helmet haha
Having those parking stops between John and Denny is huge! Cars parking in the lane there has been a big problem.
I wish we got a live chance to take a photo and send in a report 🤣
What did you think of my special guest? Have you seen his posts or submitted a report before? Where else do we need even better bike lanes!?
Let's go Sanders!
Nice bike lanes. I hope the street sweeper can get through them.
Had a truck coming for me on the burke today told him your going the wrong way he saluted me

How are you able to talk to each other and record? How did you get around the wind noise?
@@Allen-bm6tz wireless go 2. Includes a receiver and two transmitter. It's very impressive if you stay within range
I would suspect the gaps where cars can park are so wheelchairs can get through the gaps
