Some classics for sure. I went with 81, but of course more from a hard rock angle. I was an 80's kid growing up with music, but in later life really started appreciating the 70s much more. Sometimes I think I could just listen to just 70s stuff. :)
There are so many great years in music. It was tough for me to pick, perhaps if I had a larger collection I would have picked a different year. As it is, a lot of favourite albums of mine came from ‘69. Thanks for watching Jeff!
No shortage of landmark releases in 1969, that's for sure! Nicely done, Chris and I had fun making my entry as well. I always enjoy Alex's videos and comments. Good luck! 🎶😎
Haha. I definitely can’t miss that one. I remember, before I was familiar with the album, I only knew that wacky cover. Then when I bought the album I put it on… I’ll never forget the punch of hearing 21st Century Schizoid Man for the first time 🤯
Great video! I have so many favourites from 1969: Jethro Tull - Stand Up, The Kinks - Arthur, The Band self-titled, Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left, The Who - Tommy. And there were two bands I love that both released three records that year: CCR and Fairport Convention.
Three records in a single year is remarkable! Quite the feat when you consider the output by today’s bands. I only have Cosmo’s Factory and Chronicle by CCR but I know mostly all of them are good. Thanks for watching AG!
Hey Chris! Thanks so much for jumping on this and for all the kind words - that truly means more than you know! 1969 was wild, man. Andromeda!! What a record that is! So many great titles in here and I’m proud to say I have nearly all of them (except that other psych album but you have my instead perked with that!). Thanks again - you’re entered my friend! I’ll be entering your contest soon as well 😀
Shhh is my favourite Ten Years After album. It’s their third studio release and fourth release after a live album with a similar cover. 1969 is such a great year! Andromeda! Led Zeppelin! King Crimson! I’ve never listened to Johnny Winter. I should. Very cool section, Chris!
Hi Peter. Johnny Winter isn’t hard to find (here in North America) and his albums aren’t expensive. Usually $5-$10 but always worth it. I don’t know much of his later catalogue but his early albums are all great blues albums. He’s a great guitarist!
@@StylusMeetsVinyl Thanks, Chris. I'm sure it's no problem to find him here in Japan. I'm just not really into blues albums. But I'll check out his earlier stuff to check it out anyway.

Thanks Ed!
Hey Chris. Killer year! And so many great albums! Cheers
Absolutely Bobby! 🤘
Great year. Lots of awesome albums. I could have picked that one too. I thought about it. Good job man.
Thanks Rob. Definitely a great year in music and so many more that I didn’t show or didn’t have.
Cool stuff, great albums
Thanks Craig!
Hey Chris, Somehow, I missed this video. You picked some excellent records. I was waiting for King Crimson, and you didn't disappoint!

Awesome Alex! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! Cheers brother.

Fair enough!
Nice selection of different genres. You can't go wrong with Led Zeppelin.
For sure!
I had no idea that I have as many albums from '69 that I do ...Abbey Road , Painfully over rated
Haha, to each their own I guess! I love it. All good though. ‘69 was a great year!
