Whoa, I think that is where all the small businesses have run off to. I haven't seen non corporate shopping areas for so many years now. I love the variety.
Amazing blog, Thumb up 21. Albany Road and Wellfield Road is not far from where I live. At 4:25 is the train track you been on when traveling into Cardiff. 7:30 there a a day do not pass with many times horn beeping as 5 roads cross there. 7:38 in the church still have Christmas trees and decorations up. 8:22 Ania is a polish supermarket. 9:00 See a key that big for Cardiff Castle and Tower of London. 9:54 one of the units have squatters in. 14:07 I only live a bus journey from Roath as you guessed by now I could of been your tour guide, I was on Albany Road about 1pm. 16:15 St Andrew Church, there is a famous person works there. I watched this blog twice as I might of been in the background. Looking forward to Roath Park lake blog.
That Tesco could've been a theatre or a cinema before. We had a Quicksave in Lichfield once that was in the old Regal cinema. That cinema is where my Mum and her friend met my Dad and my Mum's friends husband and the 2 couples fell in love. If it wasn't for that old Regal cinema I wouldn't be here!
Forgot to mention about 'Death Junction' yes nicknamed the lights 'death lights' - no filter green arrow to allow traffic to safely come through from opposite directions!
Lovely shops to browse around .lovely churches .shame one of them was made into a store .pleased found a little cafe imo and a toilet .enjoyed the video x
I'd like to do more of these. It's a fun day out for me, just exploring on foot, and not too expensive as long as I resit buying things I don't need. I went home with a sack of chilli flakes from Masala Bazaar!

Thanks for showing us Cardiff. I always enjoy seeing new (to me) places. Students must love the area. We have a section on the university campus that we call "the strip" with shops and restaurants of similar style. The flowers and craft shop would be dangerous for me. So many needed items. And oh, the art section!! Chatting with the locals is always fun. You get The Best restaurant recommendations that way! I'm binging on your videos again. I noticed that my phone shut down when watching your videos the other day. I'm picking up where I think it ended.

Obviously I watch (and love) all of your vlogs, but this was AMAZING - I love a bit of exploration on foot! A couple of my friends went to Cardiff Uni but this is the first time I've seen the area. Don't blame you for taking a detour to the footbridge. 😄

if a cafe has a place where you can sit to eat then they need to have access to a loo by law so those cafes should all have a loo you can use. Looks like you found a good place in the end. xx
With Cardiff being South Wales, its a long drive for us from Middlesbrough. We more often visit Chester and North Wales. Lots of lovely shops. Was that your main camera (G7X) you were using in the shops? Christine worries about me taking the Son in there so I use either my phone (with Filmic Pro) or the Osmo Pocket, though that’s throwing a bit of a wobbly occasionally. Great video, as always.
Thanks, Collin! I mostly filmed on the GoPro for this, but the intro shots and shots filmed in the cafe were on my Canon G7X mark ii. The GoPro takes Sooooooooooo much tweaking in post to get the image looking accepatable but the Canon's not stable enough. I haven't mastered the gimbal yet, but it's a bit heavy for really long walks anyway. It's on my to-learn list!

I left Cathays 54 years ago so one or two things have changed! The strange building to be a Tescos at 2:26? Are you in Salisbury at this point? If so, back in the days of my youth that was a printing firm and I used to pass it on the 39 (Manor Way) or 39A (Ely Bridge bus)
Those big fishes are Bangladeshi fish. Bengali people buy them and cut them up. It lasts around 3-4 months and then they'll buy another big fish. Part of their daily diet xx
@@PlanetImo They have a very sharp tool, which they use specifically for cutting fish. They defrost it first. You can make different types of curry with them, use them in pickles, chutneys and even dry them out, to make a spicy paste. X
