    How to torture audiophiles:

      If the record works I see no problem I like how records have crackles

    • @KayanOldac
      @KayanOldac 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +50

      @DaveMiller741 not really the issue, more so how the record is poorly built with basically all plastic, the record is played at a slightly different speed, the tracking force is really wearing on the records meaning they're not going to last very long and it more than likely has a sapphire stylus which makes the record sound way worse. These mechanisms aren't horrible and can actually sound decent, but do have all of the above issues, I would recommend maybe getting a replacement stylus of a higher grade for starters.

      I’m no audiophile. And I don’t think I’ll ever be convinced records can sound objectively better than a high quality digital recording, but even I can tell this thing is just TOO cheap.

    • @jackgreenstalk777

      @@DaveMiller741 the low quality speakers are even worse in person. The needle often damages records over time due to low quality materials used and lack of a fully supported platter beneath records adds to the issue making the needle dig worse on the outside of.the record (first few songs ware out fast). Also even on thrift shop cheap vinyls, had one stop working after a few months the electornics just all shorted out despite being plugged into a surge protector. Turned it on one final day and made a crackle pop and slight boom while light dimly died to never turn back on again😅 ymmv

Just remember to get the other equipment, such as an amp and speakers. Don't worry about the preamp, the ATLP60X has one built-in. Good luck dude! Wish you well, and always do your own research too!
