Engineer Clearly Now I am using this formula on other things. You have helped someone who is terrified of math start 'liking' it a little! Thanks again, Engineer Clearly!
In your first example, it doesn’t matter what random combination you choose. There’s a 1,757,000:1 chance that any of them will appear, regardless of what the number actually is. You seemed to imply that ABC-123 is a rarer combination than GGG-693. Just wanted to make sure that’s not what you were trying to say, because that would be incorrect.
I need probability of seeing a license that has DAN everywhere I go. My best friend Dan passed away 7 years ago and everywhere I go the cars in front of me say Dan. My parents cars also say dan. I really try to tell myself this is normal, but I really think it's a sign he knew I always looked for signs so he would k ow I'd notice that, but I find it hard to believe anything could force such occurrences so often
Please help me know the odds of this happening so often. If it helps I am driving in Desoto county Mississippi mostly. Not sure if Desoto makes them have more that start with D but every car in front of me says DAN everytime I drive dor years
@@roseo9177 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Mississippi#County_coding DeSoto county is fixed to start with DA and in previous years was DA-DH or DA-DZ. So 1/26 chance of a DAN if the plate was from 2019 onwards and lower before that but still not *rare*, you'd see it every once in a while
This 54 year old student who is in her last week of college math thanks you for not having to skip this question like I thought I would!!! :-)
Awesome!

Same here except I'm 45 !! Thanks because I searched all over & was just about to skip it too.
Hope you finish strong!
THANK YOUUUUU! This helped me so much on solving my homework for math applications

You might be targeted. They do a lot of stuff like that just to confuse and disrupt people. Hope not because it’s not fun
Thank you very much.
Give my time of 5:24 back.
Wait... But "En" isn't an element.
