Yeah not gonna lie, Courtney and Ariana are not that different :D I was on their Concert last year in June in Munster and it was actually epic. Most fun I've had in a while.
Spritbox and this have almost zero similarities. Sure they both have metal instrumentation and female vocals, but the similarities end there. The vocal styling and lyrical content is entirely different and the music is not that similar.
This is epic. Sadly it sounds like alot of dynamics went missing. Can you redo this with better audio quality? Would be MASSIVE! This is actually good shit :D
I would love to but it was already hard enough since I had to pitch the Periphery track a considerable amount as well as changing the speed a little bit iirc. I might revisit it to see what I can do but there's only so much that can be done quality wise when you mess with pitch shifting that much. Also I'm not that experienced with this kind of thing honestly
Okay I actually figured something out that could work. If I process the stems separately before putting them all together then that might make a difference to the quality. I'll reupload this if I'm successful
@@Shorjok I dont have any clue about music production at all but from what I know from rendering videos and such, output settings often make a difference. Like what format do you use, how much MBits/s (for Audio stuff like 196, 320 kbit/s etc.) does the product recieve which massively affects quality and dynamics. Maybe you unwillingly put some amount of normalisation on top that cuts off any "dynamic"? As I said, I dont have a clue :D I am very thankful that you look into it. If you are successful, I highly await the reupload 🙂 Thanks alot!
This is the main criticism I've heard from Periphery but I think his vocals are some of the best in metal period. His range is insane and his screams are crazy and really compliment the song. Plus his melodies are very unique. n

note wise it may be similar but the rhythm,accents and feelings of the vocals just don't fit to the guitars at all

He's not even bad tho. He's kinda nasally but there are definitely much worse offenders. I get why not everyone likes his voice
Plus he sounds so good love. I don’t know really any other singers in similar genres that can sound that close to the recording when playing live

His vocals definitely aren't for everyone... but he's talented, for sure. Took me a while to get used to them myself.
