I disagree with you my dear. Is there anywhere in Accra where anyone is practicing galamsey? If people want to protest, and use unnecessary energy to fight police, they should rather use that energy and go to the galamseyers hub to fight them. Government will come, and go, but mining will still be here, so Accra, is not the place to do this my dear.

Accra is where the government is so that's where the protest must be held. Shame on the government. Disgusting

@@amosowusu-boateng5761 The people that listened to ex president Trump and demonstrated at White House ( Capitol) climbing walls, breaking down windows to go inside destroy government documents that cost the death of security officers on duty are still in jail, Ghanaians are a joke when it comes to politics and democracy

I think journalists must be citizens and not just reporters. CSOs must not just write beautiful english but must partake in the push for the change. Close ranks and be seen to be fighting along side the ordinary Ghanaian.Window dressing like is being done will not cause the much needed change to happen. Water is life.

The issue of galamsey and its solution lies in the powers of the chiefs, period. No government can prevent galamseyers 24/7 for the rest of our lives. The key to solving this problem lies in the bossom of the chiefs and traditional rulers of all the lands in Ghana. There is no other way. In any case every traditional area has 'asafo' (traditional soldiers and police force) for the security and protection of the traditional area. Why are we are refusing to use our minds for once? Lets stop looking at things from political lenses, and be realistic. If the traditional leaders cannot safeguard their own lands, trees, and water bodies who can?

Isn't it a shame. The government that is supposed to stop galamsey isn't interested because of votes and politics. People have decided to demonstrate in the capital because that's where we can get all those matter to take action on galamsey and you have some nation wrecker insulting them and the police doing the bidding of government.
Ghana is indeed sick under this Nana Addo and Bawumia.
    They have become irrelevant

This demonstraters were politically motivated this is not the right time to go on street with matters related to Galamsey activities in the country with only two months for election. Why don’t you wait after the election and go after the new coming president to take care of this issue. Your aim is to let the world know that there is no peace in the country, do you think it’s fun to do this or you enjoy seeing Kenya demonstrating. The one who sent you guys to come on the street at this time of the year has failed his purpose.Have you forgotten that there is a leader who is campaigning that vote for me and I allow you to continue the Galamsey activities. Whoever is financing these lawless demonstrations has wasted the money.😂

Hypocrites. The best place to protest is the galamsey sites and not in Accra. Until the very people who live at the galamsey sites take up the fight no amount of shouting in Accra will succeed in stopping the menace.

If you have wisdom, you'll know that this problem must be tackled at the top first before coming to the sites. Haven't you seen Katakyie Afrifa going to arrest some people only see them back in couple of days. Those who give the commands and contracts are in government so do you want them to go to the site to look for the bosses? Really? Eii some of you daeee, your IQ oooo hmmm.
