Hey Hosanna! Gosh, I'm so sorry to hear about this, but at the same time lifted to hear your resolve on it. For me, from all my muggings, robberies, and assaults I've received, the thing that always gets me is the psychological damage: "Sure, steal my life's possessions, but don't make me feel insecure about what comes next", however, take it from me, someone who has had it all, you'll live and these stories are what make life rich! It feels however, hard to imagine at times how you'll get over it.
Thanks Neil! It’s always so encouraging to know that there are other solo travelers that have also faced adversity and challenges but haven’t let it control their insecurities. And you’re exactly right. These are the kinds of stories where you become grateful that you’re alive, but also you can pass them down to others. These stories are also lessons in how to become a better and safer traveler and spread that awareness. Psychological damage can happen, but we always have the choice to let it control us or allow it to heal over and be better prepared for the future.
Thank God you are safe. I cannot imagine how terrible this experience was for you. It is good you had the courage to talk about it and make others aware of how corrupt the world can be. Stay aware and safe travels. 🤗
Stay safe and Happy New Year! I am a single woman and I may be moving to S. California sometime this year, which would require a cross-country trip. Thank you for this video and the awareness!
I’m glad I can help others be more aware! Just please, if you do go through New Mexico, drive through. Don’t stop except for gas. These sorts of experiences are very common, especially in that state! And, if you stay in a hotel room, check everywhere before turning the lights out! I hope you have a successful move and above all, safe travels!
Thank God you’re ok. Wonderful you are sharing this experience so people can be educated. You have a talent for communicating, and a Wil that appears just as big. We can’t have anything happen to you, make wise choices….Thank you for making Our days brighter.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It definitely was hard finding motivation again after this, but I felt so compelled to share what happened. Be safe out there! ☺️😎
Yup, the car is still missing, and I have a feeling I won’t be seeing it ever again. Just so incredibly grateful that I’m alive and have this opportunity to spread awareness and hopefully save people from the same circumstances!🙏🏼
