For example, you might not be able to adjust your wage up and down freely to reflect the income your LLC is generating from you, or you may have additional tax reporting burdens, or just way more paperwork in general to keep everything above the board.

They also need to feel like you're helping them, instead of blocking them. So instead of telling someone "That wont work because of x", you tell them "that sounds good, and to do that we will need y which means solving x. Let's discuss our options for doing that". And then you let them figure out that solving x is impossible and so they can't do the thing. It's a whole song and dance, but if you don't want to fight everyone in the building and actually get somewhere it's often the only way.

But usually my answer when someone brings up such an issue is "okay, fine, lemme finish this my way and give me a moment I'll come back to you to see about your way", sometimes even trying it out despite thinking it ain't gonna work because even a bad idea can have useful nuggets.
